Maybe the 1st audition was impromptu, though I even doubt that. His second audition he came down from a flying wire, I doubt they let any idiot do that for insurance reasons. So if the production team wanted to work with him the second time, they must have though him competent enough and his 1st audition doesn't give that vibe, unless it's all staged.
I love how every moment was planned. He knew he was getting buzzed and it was apart of the act. Normal the performance would stop... but them wanting it to stop was apart of the act. Brilliant 👏 👏 👏
