Wow, such an amazing personality. It comes through so naturally from his banter prior to playing to the spin he puts on any song he plays. Truly mesmerizing.
yea dude ive always enjoyed his tunings and between comments just as much sometimes. its all gold to me and should be treated as such. but not rape its value over time like the government.
hahaha. you gotta love/hate life in about a 4-1 ratio to just get by sometimes...big brother hah, but seriouslty tho ppl dont f*&$ this up yea i just found it took me 2 years but its by far the best version of this song by far. so different. amazing. continues to blow my mind.
His voice is good here, but - tone, technique, and consistently being 'on pitch' - improved so much over the next few years. When I last saw him in 1996 or 1997, he was SO GOOD, and that was fifth time I'd seen him!
I don't know, but it seemed improvised to you. anyone? The vocalization, and lyrics, I felt like he was making them up on the spot. Sort of like spoken word. Spontaneously.
Amazing. I love how he goes from Tuning his guitar, to a groove so deep, you think he had been vamping it for 20 minutes.
This dude was a blessing - thanku Lord xo

even when he was tuning, he was awesome.
Wow...
Michael Hedges tuning up sounds better than 90% of all guitarists.
🤣I agree....
I think it was awesome I never heard of him cause if I did I be playing a whole lot different...

You're right. I prefer this version.
Who else would combine Prince/Sheila E with a song from the 1960s musical Hair
