@@humbleclay79 I just tried the crossbow, it cant break open containers, so I agree, Eruptor getting its demolition nerfed
I was thoroughly disappointed in the new marksman carbine, the explosive sniper could make for an interesting support character if you had a full team, and the grenade pistol is just hilarious. It’s very handy, and helps relieve the second-guessing of taking the grenade launcher or another stratagem weapon
The grenade pistol is dope because it frees up your grenade slot for stuns or smoke grenades while still being able to take out objectives.
I think one thing you overlooked is that the grenade pistol can one-shot bile spewers from decent range, which makes dealing with clumps of them WAY easier.

Tests weapon only against biggest and toughest Terminids - "I don't think this is good for killing" like yeah, a secondary isn't a great weapon for taking out tanky units. Shoot the annihilator tank or the Hulks in the face with it and like you were with the 'nids and it'll do the same thing.
On top of that, what other secondary can take out a Hulk's heat sink in two shots? The utility on the grenade pistol is amazing. It's so odd to be disappointed in a secondary for not being great at killing.

@@Legendary_Honeyyeah it’s my go to tank buster now. Also great on bug missions for sniping nests once you’re used to the drop. Plus it gets a nade back from regular ammo crates
I have to agree, this is a step down from their usual testing.
Step 1: Engineering kit armor to get 6 grenades
Step 2: Grenade Pistol secondary to get 9 grenades
Step 3: Grenade Launcher stratagem to get 21 grenades
Step 4: Dive into combat with 36 grenades.
Take a supply backpack for 180 grenades. (okay probably not a full 5 x 36 but I'm too lazy to try figure out how much you'll really get)
Add eruptor because more splosions

A Resupply Box refills 2 grenades, 2 GL pistol rnds, and 2 10rnd belts for the GL stratagem.
x4 = 96 more grenades
add the explosive crossbow and you get 66 more explosives.
add the plasma grenade launcher shotgun i forgot the name for even more boom
like the grenade launcher itself ive found the grenade pistol to be better at taking out hoards of smaller enemies that are grouped up
Here's a myth I'd be interested to see tested: I've heard from some people and seen some comments that the Automaton AA guns can actually shoot down Eagle-1. Usually if you're in range of the AA guns it won't let you throw the stratagem but apparently if you stand outside the radius and throw it in, it'll still activate and the AA guns have a chance of shooting down Eagle-1, disabling Eagle stratagems for the rest of the mission.
it just deactivates it like a stratagem jammer does i think

I remember doing a mission where tjere was 3 AA guns, it looked like a rave when I called eagle- 1 XD

This is actually perfect to solve my dilemma between taking incendiary or impact grenades against terminids. With this as secondary it's possible to bring both.
The point of the grenade pistol is to let you take stuns.

yeah this is where I am at. As a big fan of the stun grenade, their biggest drawback has been not being able to easily close a nest

Considering it’s just a single shot version of the stratagem grenade launcher, which is in itself really just a utility weapon best used for taking out light enemies and emplacements, it’s genuinely invaluable as a replacement to keep a stratagem slot open for heavier weaponry. With the Scythe I rarely use my secondary anyways so this is a fantastic addition that lets me bring along the Quasar or something instead!
It shoots impacts, it’s different. Oddly enough I have found it easier to use the regular impact throwables to kill fabricators because I can’t figure out the angle to destroy them with the grenade pistol
@@ravekiller. I have since noticed that, it can be a tad bit situational to find enough room to back up and get a GL shot down the hatch. Doesn’t really matter though because I bring the regular impact grenades too so in that scenario the GL secondary is like taking along double the amount of impact grenades. Still very useful!
This thing is goated. On big hive areas I find the high ground with my jetpack and snipe all the holes.
the granades are the same as the granade launcher. its mainly a utility weapon and workes well with the stun granades, because you can stun enemys and still close bug holes without a strategem to waste for it :)
i havent seen any factory strider since they came back i saw a few in the origonal force but non yet maby they are in a further sector currently

This weapon surely seems to have gotten a bad rap in this video, but this is by far the greatest innovation SE has ever provided us.
My new kit:
-medium armor with stealth benefits
-liberator penetrator
-grenade pistol
-stun grenades
-quasar cannon
Crowd control, utility for destroying structures, stuns for when stuff hits the fan, and quasar for the big things that get dropped in.
note: bile titans can not actually be killed with any primary as of now; you can use primaries with decent penetration to break the stomach sacks, as you did here, which stops it from spewing and causes it to *very slowly* bleed out to death, but once they're broken, they won't take any more direct damage from those weapons. you need heavy duty support weapons to kill them directly.
technically, you can kill them with stuff that ignores defense and deals raw damage like the arc shotgun, just like chargers, but the reason they take forever to bleed out is that they have a gazillion HP, so good luck with that
Used to run autocannon which can clear holes, but my new found love is the quasar cannon. Only down side about it is since the fire rate is on the slower end it cant clear holes efficiently. Grenade pistol is goated since it can clear holes and can crowd control smaller bugs.
The Grenade Pistol basically gives you 8 impact grenades with longer range at the cost of a secondary weapon.
Not a bad tradeoff in my opinion.
(But then I usually run with armour that gives me 6 grenades total, so I kinda like grenades)
I play as a Grenade / Stealth Player. Usually I am alone even in a group. Grenades especially impact are a quick response weapon or offensive weapon. Once you get good aiming your throws and the grenade pistol you can takeout medium and lighter enemies while your strats deal with the bigger stuff.
I have been farming Super Samples and have yet to see a factory strider, aka the Doggo Metal Gear.
it's scary and has a ton of health. I threw a laser at it and let my teammates deal with it LOL

I finally get to do a full grenade "Shock Trooper" build
- Engineer Armor
- Grenade Pistol
- Grenade Launcher
- AR-23 - Bots (hot planets), Sickle (All others)
- impact grenade.
Now I can rush in with a decent armor and raid bot outposts.
Grenade pistol + quasar + stun + jetpack makes closing holes/fabricators more fun and efficient in my runs.
i use it vs devastators mainly, sometimes shield guys too. I use the spear for towers tanks and hulks, altough its not a perfect choice since it sometimes dont wants to work but when it does, its the best at it.
Your issue with taking out enemies is that they have several different independent health pools.
Charger has a Head health pool, a Butt health pool and a Body health pool, maybe leg health pools. Breaking the butt will make it eventually die, destroying a leg will instantly kill it, trying to blow up its torso will leave huge craters in it but it still won't die and taking out its head will instantly kill it.
tl;dr your science is flawed because you don't understand enemy health.
ps. You can't kill a bile titan by shooting its sacs.

maybe test to see if the FS-55 devastator armor provides additional headshot protection from the armor plate covering part of the lower head?

It is pretty decent at taking out clumps of small enemies. When a swarm of bugs is following and you have at least a little distance, getting 3-8 kills with a single shot isn't bad at all. It isn't as big or powerful an explosion as the contact grenade, but it does have better range and gets shots back from ammo packs, so you can fire off a lot more of them if you are looting points of interest. The one enemy the weaker explosion is most noticeable against, at least for me is nursing spewers and bile spewers, where it takes two grenades when a contact grenade does it in one. I think hive guards can be taken out in one shot if you hit the squishy bit instead of the armor, and I think commanders take two shots too, and with the reload time two shots is usually too many compared to other options.
Enemies have limb health too. You were busy taking down their total health when you could have been going for something like headshots and killing them with less than half the shots you did
Excuse me what? The pistol? The itty bitty sidearm doesn't kill chargers fast and can't kill bile titans? Noooooo way.
The grenade launcher pistol isn't ideal against attack helicopters either? Who could've predicted this!? Impossible.
Quick tip: Run TOWARDS chargers when they charge you then do a quick left or right turn to avoid them.

That's why it's a secondary. It's more a Utility weapon than just a smaller main weapon. They way, you can run stun granades and other stuff without loosing the explosive firepower.
I’ve seen two factory striders so far, both at the extract of helldive missions
Honestly I'm happy to have 8, grenades to close holes with, it means I can take utility grenades like stun grenades without needing to use a stratagem slot to deal with nests and factories

Using a grenade launcher against a flying ship and marking it off as not impressive is... it's like you're trying to sabotage it lol. I think this gun is amazing especially considering it's just a SECONDARY.
Definitely more of a utility weapon. It can double as an actual weapon in a pinch, but the ammo economy for it is so harsh that it isn't really worth using it as such.
I noticed something strange about the front door now. I tried using the eruptor as well and it wouldn't bkow up.
Um during basic training I was told friendly fire is totally fine and unavoidable 😂
Now I need to see a 4 man team wielding *just* this. No guns, everything else is fair game, though.

Factory Striders are found on impossible (level 8) or helldive (level 9) sometimes on major objectives/extraction
Yeah we've been hunting them all week on 8 and 9 and failed to find one, it's annoying!

I used to see them on level 7, but I havent seen them since we pushed the bots out
what about direct face hits on Bile Titan instead of sack, Recoiless, Expendables, Airstrikes, Quasar can kill it with a couple of direct shots in the face, maybe targeting its head directly will actually kill it?
I wonder if you shoot the floor of the fabricator when the doors open if that’ll destroy it

Like I not sure if I saw it right but I shot exactly the moment the raider shot it rocket directly at me but my revolver bullet bounce off the rocket and saving my life

I personally do not like the Grenade pistol, it was very single purpose to me and that loading time also restricts your ability to clear out bugs and against robots its almost useless.

@@defendthehouse that grenade pistol must’ve flown over my head. I remember an explosive crossbow and a very cool CBRN firefighter EOD heavy armor set and helmet, sorta like one of the operators from the Warsaw Pact of Black Ops Cold War looks like, but not the grenade pistol.
But the new war-bond does look good, anyway.

One thing you forgot to mention is that the single barrel grenade launcher can fire two grenades in series for the first load after exiting the hellpod when using space optimization.
Also the factory striders are way too common now, have had no less than two in each mission since the intel briefing was sent out.

There are Primaries that are shit against a Bile Titan. Why would you expect a Secondary to do even remotely anything? Grenade launcher or otherwise? The GL Stratagem can't even do shit against one. This was a terrible test.

Why would a sidearm be good against heavies? Very good against groups of small enemies.
It’s butt when picking up ammo it only gives u one ammo replenish and grenade pistol does no damage its butt
