Years ago I lived in Flagstaff with my roomates on the south side of the tracks. I worked downtown on the north side. I usually walked to work and if my timing was off, I'd have to wait while the passenger train was at the station. It was long enough to block two street crossings. It got mighty chilly waiting in the winter time! Thanks for bringing back memories. I agree, this is a great video!
Two words best describes this video: Lucky Bastard. Man, not only seeing one massive freight train, but two. Wow great catch man. Keep up the good work.
Oh my god!!!I wish I could get Freight Trains like those up where I live!!!I also love those engines and BNSF is a great company.I've never seen a BNSF train here before.I mostly get CSX and Norfolk Southern.2 monsters are the greatest at anytime. You are one lucky person!!!
The strongest locos are the electro locos of the iron ore train from Kiruna Sweden to Narwik Norway. Their engines have more than 11 000 KW or nearly 15 000 hp. They pull the heaeviest trains, not the longest ones.
same ol gs type ones ahh hey i guess the horn ban fell through the cracks cool that or bnsf flagstaff to F off anyways great video dpu in the middle wow nice meet too also when did bnsf put concret ties there
no in retrospect they would agree with you but during the "event" they deem it very likely they can "make it" but there miscalculation is what gets them killed... but I really liked the double arm crossing on each side of the intersection! I think that is the design that will denture the majority of people from trying to drive under the crossing hahaha though some may still try!...
Holy moly, if you weren't late for work then you are now! No wonder so many people car their cars mashed in the States trying to get the jump on these behemoths😳 I think they were a mile long each?!
Hail from JSC Russian Railways! I'm a system administrator from one of the depots of South Russia. You have really powerful locomotives. I have a question: why do you often use diesel power, is electrical too expensive? We use diesel locomotives in manuever works, in passengers and freight trains it is used very seldom.
4 head end, 3 middle, and 2 or 3 rear engines. Very common in that area for that size train. I would be surprised if the 4th engine on the head end was actually cut in and working. If i remember my rulebook right, its too much power for the head end forces. BTW, they are now running a lot of 150car intermodal trains out of LA now.
dude, this is gotta be one of my fav train videos on here !! i'd love to come to Flagstaff, AZ to the same spot where u shoot these 2 monster BSNF's. but its a 32 hour & 55 mintute drive sadly = ( = (
That railroad crpssing was so far the cpolest, i heard. ;) poor people that had to wait at this crossing, that had to wait for the two trains. to them it's probably an anxiety, while to us it's an awesome show.

Nice Grain Train giving the fact that it has 4 lead units (1 being a warbonnet), 2 Middle Engines, and 1? shunter at the tail. Awesome catch!
I love how excited people get seeing stuff I get to see everyday. I live here. :) Its gorgeous. i love it!
That monsterous "Triple Penetrator" grain consist will always be my favorite unit train!! GREAT POST!!!!
Wow! War bonnets AND fake bonnets on the same train!?! That was so cool!
I once had to wait for three trains to cross at a three track crossing, it took almost 20 minutes but I didn't care because I like trains.
Random Stuff In Oregon I once had to wait 4 hours for a local to come. It was totally worth it

was that first train basically 2 trains hooked up together?
I love the chick at the end runnin like there is another train comin LOLOL

awesome vid pity the poor motorists waiting to cross the line and yes the grain train was pulling heavy

How long is that thing?
First time I've seen DPU's in the MIDDLE of a train. Over here in Mississippi the only time I see BNSF DPUs are on the end of coal trains.
No overpasses in town?
Awesome . . !
Good job!
I counted and the second train was only 126 cars + 4 locomotives
TheDemonicVampiro you live in Australia? If you do that is awesome!

Is the Seligman Sub part of the BNSF Transcon?
Yes
In Flagstaff train time is anytime!
why are American trains this big? did they do this in order to pull more wagons?
Nice!
Beast!
Guy in car behind the train sees the second train and says,
"FUCKING HELL ANOTHER ONE!!!?!??!??!??"
nice vid
Thanks that the locos are still American...
It's like watching super eight with a slow train
Sweet sweet!
Locals must hate getting caught at the crossing there ....you'd almost have to celebrate your next birthday sitting in the car!!!!!
@NightrainAFD1987 Cheers! I know I wouldn't mind the wait ....
trains: oh you have to go to work? well too bad!
wow lucky catch
GREAT Video, Sad to see all the Chinese containers thoe...
@kanga1234567 Ahhh we get used to it, where we end up planning our trips ten to twenty minutes ahead, in case we get caught up at a crossing :)

i cant stand gs bells
i mean 1 or 2 gs type ones are ok for 5 mins
gs type 2 no more than 10 sec of it

I love it but Flagstaff will have to build a new underpass.
I’ll bet it felt like an earthquake when they thunder past!
The world's longest and heaviest freight train in china (200,400 tons)
