the A340s at Bournemouth are not the 500s they are A340-600Fs as they are owned by European cargo

Hi Jerry, Gilly. Just watched the the first part of the vid on 1080p setting( no 2160 available on YT). There seems to be a lot of digital processing on the camera that then conflicts with the you tube encoding. There’s a lot of heat haze but your old camera showed it as it was and this camera seems to try and compensate. But as always, big thanks to you both. Love the channel

Quite often see an A340 fly over my house in Southampton, not sure if they head to Bournemouth or not
Same here, fly over mine, due west, descending for landing at Bournemouth.
This solves a conundrum I had today!
I saw a 4 engined plane flying overhead in SW London that wasn't an A380 (its always exciting when this happens), but it didn't appear on FR24. Figured it might have been a Qatar 747 Cargo but as far as I know they don't go through Heathrow. Turns out it must have been this departing!
I'm guessing its one of the royal family. Only the second time I've seen an A340 in or out of LHR since I got into this hobby, the first being an emergency landing from one of the South American airlines a few months back
I'll have it!!!! Please!!!!! I can use it to go the Mach Loop this summer!!

Qatar is part of the VIP Amiri Flight, 12 in the collection. Nice to see it here. Used for the Royals and other VVIPs. They have a couple of 747-8s!
The youngest one was delivered December 2017. that would be a good spot huh!

This is still the VX1, just a new one. We had a shimmering on the video that we first noticed in Anchorage, but only on deep zoom. We go through cameras pretty rapidly as Jerry is out there in all weathers but were very happy with the VX1. We were just checking with the new one that is was an issue with the camera and not any of the other equipment. Gilly

What an amazing stream guys
The -500 variant wasn't really popular. I saw them long time in Bangkok when Thai was operating the L.A and New York flights nonstop. I really loved that mighty jet. I am surprised that Qatar is flying them on a regular flight from Doha to London. Hmm. Maybe they grounded two much 777's and A 350's. Who knows.
Qatar Amiri flight is normally using that plane still today.
