    Nice video. My first vehicle is a rusty 01 TJ and I love it. I am gonna be replacing the head this week. The 01 4.0 came with a crack prone head and I got it. Fun vehicle to learn on. Expensive though

    Uploaded a year ago nice. Did a flush several times on my jeep before replacing the pump/radiator with an aluminum one and it would sit in a hot parking lot running the AC no problem. Year later Took it out mudding had some fun and it temp started fluctuating past 210 and bubbling in the radiator while cruising out in some snowy mountains so I ordered some Zerex G05 to do another flush and see what's going on again.

    • @AxlesGarage
      @AxlesGarage  5 лет назад +1

      Crap, you shouldn't be having those problems. Is the radiator clogged from the mudding? Make sure to clean out those fins. Thanks for watching.

    I thought HOAT was the required coolant for a Jeep 4.0? Either OEMor Zerex G-05. Thanks for your videos and time.

    • @AxlesGarage
      @AxlesGarage  4 года назад +1

      You cant use any coolant you want, as long as they are compatible with each other. I have begun using the regular green that is listed as universal.

    • @rlanicek
      @rlanicek 2 года назад +1

      All Prestone coolants are OAT coolants, AKA-Dexacool, and will gum up your cooling system. You want true Ethylene Glycol or use the new Chrysler coolant which is a HOAT coolant (Zerex GO5), anything else you will have issues down the road with your cooling system.

    I think if you took the thermostat hose off and drained that it would have gotten more of that stuff out and took less flushes. IDK I'm just guessing, saw a guy do it in another video. Not a lot came out of there but the stuff that did come out was way worse than the other, like real thick muddy stuff. He mentioned draining the heater core or something too but never did it so idk if that's a thing you can do or what

    Thanks for the tutorial! I noticed you have the squeaky belt too. Is that just the idle/tensioner pulley making that sound? This is the first vehicle I’ve ever owned that had a manual tensioner so I’m not sure if I need to adjust the tension in the winter vs summer here in Wisconsin.

    Just curious. Isn't that a JK (2007 +) model Jeep? It looks like a JK grill and a V6 motor. How many miles does the Jeep have on it? Enjoyed the video never the less.

    • @AxlesGarage
      @AxlesGarage  7 лет назад

      Its a 2001 TJ. The nose looks JK-ish because it has no flares and cut fenders. I think there are around 150K on the body and 30K on the engine.

    • @Ray69camaro
      @Ray69camaro 7 лет назад +1

      The turn signals under the headlights makes it look like a JK. I guess it has a 4 banger engine also. Take care.

    • @AxlesGarage

    • @AxlesGarage
      @AxlesGarage  5 лет назад +1
