Got a G7 on recommendation from reviewers, G Sync certification is a joke and it flickers not enough for a rave, but enough to give me headaches. I'm returning it and waiting on a LG 27GL83A-B to arrive tomorrow. I really don't think I'll be getting into the high end monitors anymore and just stick to stuff like this after this mess. Really wanted a ultrawide but I just can't justify the 1k price tag for something like the 34gn850-b right now.
Hi, I’m currently hesitating to by the LG 27GL83A-B and I’ve seen the LG 27GL850-B . They seems really similar... Have you seen the 850 version and if it does, why did you chose the 83 version ? Thx for your help 😊
@@doud1158 I'v been trying to decide between the 850 or just getting the Ultrawide which is the 34GN850-B. My line of thought originally was I wanted a monitor for $500. Then I saw the G7 on sale for $650 so I splurged, but regretted after the flickering issue. Then I was debating on just spending the extra to get the ultrawide but its out of stock on Amazon(I get 5% back which would pay the taxes so I could get it elsewhere but points are to good). I have to send this G7 back by the 18th and neither was going to be in stock before then. The 27GL83A-B restocked for like 5 minutes yesterday which is when I started to compare them. I play games, watch youtube/netflix, and computer programming. So I started to compare the 850 and 83A. Saving you the time basically they are the same thing minus some super bells and whistles which I honestly find kind of meaningless anyway. They are both IPS, 144Hz, 1ms response, g sync compatible. What you are losing on the 83A-B for $130 less is USB ports which are hard to get to anyway. and I don't see myself plugging a mouse or keyboard into it, a computer jack for something like a laptop. The main thing difference and the reason it's cheaper is the color gambit does not extent to DCI-p3 color space so the backlight is sRGB. Really the only reason for DCI-p3 atm is HDR content. Which I from what I hear the 850 is not great for HDR content anyway since its only HDR-400 on the 850. Basically. Just get the 83A and save yourself some money, HDR is not great on the 850 to the point where you will prob just turn it off + sRGB is the most common color mode atm and content needs to be tailored directly to get anything out of the wider color range of the 850.

This monitor heats up especially near the bottom of the panel, I’ve tested this on HDR 400 mode.
Are you facing the same issue?
i can feel the heat in the back on mine just got it. its not at the bottom for me tho only near the vesa mount.
Anyone knows if VG272UP is better than the previous one from latency perspective or at least not worse?
yes I could not find enough reviews on vg272up. I've seen it switch to nano ips like LG and gives 144 speeds at 10 bits, but is there anyone who has tested and is it satisfied? Did you learn or get something
Stumbled across this video.... The day after I bought this monitor. Phew!
How is the experience?
@@DEESHOOM I really like it. Massive upgrade from my £80 1080p/75hz panel. Works flawlessly. Now if you lined up a dozen different 1440p monitors you may notice differences. But it's a thumbs up from me.
@@westleydan0 ok buddy....thanks for the response!
Basically. Just get the 83A and save yourself some money, HDR is not great on the 850 to the point where you will prob just turn it off + sRGB is the most common color mode atm and content needs to be tailored directly to get anything out of the wider color range of the 850.
it man 1440p in 120hz? I need it to xsx
Just got myself the Acer VG271UP for roughly INR 17,500 (GBP 175) and it is an absolute steal.

What about the 75 hz?
Hey man was thinking between this and the asus tuf vg27aq, is the Elmb sync worth it for the Asus or does this really beat it because of the price point thanks!
Yes

please let me know how I can confirm that I'm actually getting the FPS which is shown by Fraps. I'm on the HDMI cable which came with this monitor. My model is VG271U if that makes a difference.
Is this worth buying to use with ps5 ?
I wanna know this too
Any off you get it for ps5?
GUYS !!!
Should I
a: Buy the Acer XV272UP for 365, now for the third freaking time because all of them I orded had technical and optical flaws.
b: or Buy the LG 27GL850-B for 399€ ?
Shit...went and replaced my 1080p 144hz with it.
Well..guess the fiance will be pissed lmao
Work this monitor with ps5 1080p 120hz
i just got it for 270€ im stoked
?
how is your experience with this
I bought it yesterday but got the 165 hertz for only 160 I got really lucky
Have it perfectly set up for my pc but any recommended color settings for my PS5? i know PS5 doesn't directly support 1440 right now and i plan on getting a 4k soon but any suggestions in the mean time?
This is not 4k monitor! The one is reviewed in this video is 1080p version and there is one more version of 2k 1440 144hz which is serie X.
Once you mentioned PS5 you will have to look for monitors support hdmi 2.1 with 4k 120hz, and dont forget to get hdmi 2.1 certified cable as well.
