    Oh for the days when Singers could actually sing !! Fantastic thanks for posting I met Miss Squires many years ago when she was appearing in a Club in Swansea South Wales and I was working in the hotel she was staying at Now my regret is that I never realised who she was and missed the chance to hear her live .It really is true 'Youth is wasted on the Young '! ........

    An extraordinary lady. She had more soul than soul singers. She sang from the heart. She was a very misunderstood lady. In later years she was very undervalued, little wonder she became frustrated and bitter. She was and still is inspirational to many people. A lady of passion and courage. Very greatly missed by her legion of fans.

    forget the soul singers.... this lady sang with all of her heart and soul, powerful but mellow, thouhtful, considered, acting each line.... which is why audiences responded
