Well, here I found her delivering clear, concise and well-phrased answers about everything she was asked about - from her advocacy to her personal life - and she did it with bareface sincerity and humility and in an endearing bilingual way. Catriona is a halfbred with a good english communications skill which is why she is more comfortable speaking in english than in tagalog which is good becoz she doesn't speak annoying taglish like most halfbred filipino beauty queens do.

Well deserved first Miss Intercontinental crown. Apart from her beauty, her intelligence and sincerity won for her. I interviewed Miss Intercontinental 2013 third runner-up at Miss Asia and Oceania, Koreen Medina, when she graced Mutya ng Pilipinas 2014 swimsuit competition in my Puerto Princesa, Palawan. Parang ganito rin sya magsalita, matalino fluent din mag English at marunong din magtagalog. At higit sa lahat maganda, magalang din at very humble. Sayang natalo sya ng Russia, Puerto Rico at Colombia. Nakaka-impress mga tulad nila Karen Gallman at Koreen talagang todo efforts in representing our country sa international competitions.

Catriona was born in australia and grew up in australia and english is her mother tongue and karen was born and grew up in bohol speaking tagalog and bisaya. she migrated to australia at age 8 and went back to the philippines at age 14 which is why her english communications skill is not good. she speaks fluent bisaya and luent taglish.
