The fact that Microsoft makes it THIS DIFFICULT to make such absolutely rudimentary changes such as renaming a folder, is beyond comprehension. How could they fail so spectacularly?
its because they let people mess with their OS. Apple never does this, apple makes software go through an approval process before bein on the app store.

You should use safe mode to delete the folder... simple

So, uh I had 500 GB when I was downloading Modern Warfare and now it's all used up. But the reason was not what's in the video. I forgot I was still recording on my GeForce overlay experience. I never felt such satisfaction of deleting it after when it all was freed up once again. I just want to thank you for being and helping my journey, eh you still got me even more space on it now! Big thank's! btw to the one's who didint understand I was just recording at high quality and I found out that warzone had nothing to do with it.

when i click apply it says it is imposible to set new administrator and acces denied

This does not work for a file that says I must have read permissions to view the properties of this object.
If it's not working, try performing these steps after restarting your pc in safe mode. Worked for me that way. Sometimes these steps are not required when u login in safe mode. u can directly delete the file/folder.

If this didnt work for you, I simply moved the folder away from desktop and into my secondary drive and was able to delete it.

doesn't work. when i try to apply the new ownership of the file, it just says access denied. i wouldn't think it would be this stupidly difficult to simply delete a folder i dont want on my computer anymore.
For me it said "error applying security" anyone know how to help
Turn developer mode on in your settings and/or get a good pc if your pc is slow, cause maybe it cant "apply security" cause there are too many files in the folder for the pc to handle it correctly.
Im just guessing btw, maybe none of these things have anything to do with your problem

For those who can't delete Riot Vanguard which might be a spyware you can do this : Go To Advanced Startup And Press Restart In The Settings , Go And Press The Second Option, Then Press The Button On The Top Right , Then Do The Steps Of Which This Guy Did And It Should Uninstall

the file I'm trying to delete (there are several) is from an old SSD drive that I've been using as a data drive. at one point it was a functioning drive - but I replaced it. I need to clear enough space to be able to back up my current drive to transfer to another computer. I tried your method but I can't get it to work. not sure what I'm doing wrong. says failure to enumerate? some of these old files date back to 2009.

or you can do this with the command prompt. Open it as administrator >> del 'your folder name'>Y. then you can check that folder

wait I deleted my specific folder and I was about to delete another one but the settings kinda went different than the first one, but for some reason after doing the same steps I was able to delete the second(what a relief) btw this is effective!.
