You mistake Lion dance for Dragon dance, the Lion dance involves 2 performers one in the back as the tail, and one in the front as the head. And the Dragon dance involves 6 or more people holding poles to support the dragon to make it look like its flying in the air. And it’s ok to mistake them, this is very common for people.
