Hey!! If you're working with a bedsheet the way that I did, the longer side (top to bottom of the sheet) of the bedsheet runs parallel to the grainline, and the shorter ends (left to right) run along the crossgrain. Let me know if this is the info you're looking for. 💕

hello! the tutorial is very good and clear, but i don’t really understand how the top is stretching if you just cut the A piece as waist and don’t make it gathered at the top. Also, would it be okey if i made the width of C, 40 and not 45(if i have the same measurements as u)
Lovely idea to use a beautiful print of a sheet . Why did you skimp on the fabric when you could have got a lot more gathers especially the yoke of the waist. You would have got a very even lovely flow of the fabric.

I love the print of the sheet too! 😍 I actually had previously cut the sheet to make something else and so I didn’t really have the full amount of the sheet to use in order to make the skirt fuller. I did, however, have enough fabric to make the skirt just a little longer, and that, I regret I not doing. 😩
Accidental pin line? You can usually use rubbing alcohol, honestly denatured is best, just make sure and put some absorbent paper towel or something underneath it and blot it on top and keep spraying with rubbing alcohol till the pen comes up. Even works with sharpie.

thank you!!! I used a serger machine to serge the edges but at 07:46 I show regular sewing machine settings that you can use to get the serged effect without a serger machine. Hope this helps!
Been stuck on trying to make Tier B and C, and I'm so confused by the math hahah. I don't understand how 39-11/2 =42.5???? Is there another formula I can use or another way to do it? Thanks :)
you can try taking your tier A width and multiplying it by 4 for Tier B and then for Tier C multiply the tier A width by 6. Hope this helps, but if not, feel free to message me on instagram @shaniainside
at 06:41 your total measurement should be how long you want the whole skirt to be (from your waist band to where you want your skirt to end), and then you would follow the other steps in the tutorial based on that total measurement.

This is my favourite of the self drafted patterns for a tiered skirt, because I can fit it to my individual waistline! I really don't like the loose ones, which have a waist with the same measurement as the hip! 🙄 Where is the video showing how to make the body block, so I know how to cut the waist to hip part of this skirt, please? That’s a great question! I didn’t stretch the elastic because it’s exactly the same measurement of my waist. Also, since I’m Separately gathering the casing, there’s no need to stretch the elastic too. I would only stretch the elastic if I were using it to gather the waist band/casing. Let me know if you’re still confused, but I hope this helps!

the # of yards will depend on the size skirt that you want to make. I was able to use basically all of the fabric from a fitted full size bedsheet. Hope this helps!

I suggest renaming the teirs 1, 2 & 3; 39-11=28/2=14” the length of tier 2 is 14” the width is 30” and we need 2 pices
