Jeff Smith to an extent I think it’s easier to go 18 under on a course with par 4’s and 5’s just because they’re more lenient. Still insane nonetheless
That's cause those have higher pars but Macbeth is great. I bet he would do very similar on this course. Also this is just for fun so it's not really fair to compare it to pro tournaments. Where people are actually trying they're hardest.
We need more tees like this. Everybody says grow the sport but doesn't put in short tees for the new players. Without new players, disc golf won't grow.
I guess it's weird to me to grow the sport. I usually play with one other person, and I love uncrowded courses. I'm fine if the sport grows, but have no motivation to make that happen.
Ion Ymous truly honest comment. I feel like “Grow the sport” mostly benefits disc manufacturers and professionals. There’s nothing wrong with that, but to market it as some selfless campaign for the benefit of a healthier community is bullshit. Omg I sound like my dad 😂 🪓
I just heard your interview on Running It with Nate Sexton where you say this is the video that you can't believe did well because you hate it and I had to comment that this video got me into disc golf. I was randomly recommended this video on RUclips without ever even really knowing anything about disc golf and you guys made it look so fun and easy that I had to give it a shot. I watched like a dozen of your videos after this one, bought my starter set, and have played multiple times per week every week since. I think it's a great video.
Simon, the vlog has you and Casey in it. Of couse it's a highlight reel. Not all disc golf videos have to be aces or eagles, you're doing good work keeping people happy and entertained in a tough time. You're amazing and keep it up :)
Just played maple gold's today, I've only been playing for 7 months now and I'm 15. The course ate me. I shot +15. I love that I came home to see that you just uploaded this.
thank you for giving me (us) some high end(much needed) distraction and enjoyment. A ray of sunshine. Also: I can't help but think of how great these experiences must be for Casey.
Simon Lizotte myself and my two sons love watching your videos, we analyze your disc golf throws, we believe you have the best attitude in competition. We met you at the 303 open and my youngest son was the one that kept randomly fist bumping you. Only one criticism-please,please, if you could consider decreasing the frequency of, "Oh my God". We are Christians and my boys really look up to you and I very much respect your integrity as a pro , your humility and the quality of your Blog. You truly are a great asset to the sport.
I do wish there more courses like this. As a very casual player (and definitely a beginner), long and/or difficult courses actually lessen my interest over time, with high scores and constant digging through forest and brush to find our discs.
This is my home course. It’s called Top o’ The Hill. The owner Marty is a super laid back and chill dude who is just as excited about disc golf as anyone you could ever meet. Great vibes, great place.
There is another course near by as well to check out that has three courses only one is really worth playing but check out. Woods at beauty hill. Also when you're there go to funspot its a great place to relax and play some classic arcade games
Thanks for the video. I feel lucky to get one birdie per round. I just keep practicing and practicing. I always play better after watching one of your videos. Thanks!
I know they are friends but Simon, though he is probably better, always hates on his homie.. Prop a guy up. So many mistakes by Simon. And yes I know they both had a bunch but.... A blast to watch nonetheless. Great vid! [Edit] And then on hole 17 Simon has a wayyyy off drive and misses the putt. Give props to your homie! McBeast is ridiculous.. 2 guys playing best shot and still not able on an easy course shows how ridiculous Paul really is! Had fun watching. Thanks for the vid!
Mr. Lizotte, please come down to Perry, GA to play Rozar Park. It truly is a very easy course! If I can play that course and make birdies with my terrible game, you two could ace this course with an -18 with no trouble. Cheers, be safe, and stay healthy!
I would think shooting an 18 down on a par 3 course would be harder than on a regular course. If you par 1, then you have to ace. On a regular course, you just need to eagle a par 4 or 5, which seems a bit easier.
Hot take ... Normal courses should have 2-3 of these birdie able holes per 18 for beginners. Not every hole needs to be super easy or short. But a few of these as a reminder and encouragement that sinking puts is a great way to save strokes. Basically if a beginner doesn't need the up shot, then it further highlights how useful the short game is.
Simon if your sticking around NH for a little longer you should come throw pinnacle. I've been curious to see how a pro would approach some of the lines.
A benefit of these challenges that Simon doesn't really mention is that it forces you into pressure putts even during fun casual goofy rounds. I think that's a good way to imitate a tournament putt.
the chase is what counts - we always chase that illusive -18... I am on Lockdown in Charlotte NC (all of Mecklenburg County) ... but in the lockdown rules it actually states that going to a local park and playing golf is approved!!!! as long as we stay 6 feet (1.8 meters for your German mind) away from each other woo hoo!!
Blendon Woods Metro Park in Ohio has an 18 hole course that, using their suggested pars, I've thrown a -19 and I've never even played in a competitive match.
Hey Simon, enjoy watching your stream. Have you ever played any courses in Jacksonville Florida? If not you should come down and experience some of our wonderful and challenging courses while playing in great weather condition. A lot of players would enjoy seeing you play here as well, cause a lot of us look up to you in out disc career. If ya do would love to join ya if make it down here. Keep throwing that plastic at metal brother!!
I like short courses because I want to bring out beginners to play with me and also it gives me a chance at an ace. Got my second ever ace the other day on an 132 foot hole.
"It's not all sunshine and roses..." It's close enough to a saying, but would love to hear you say "It's not all puppies and rainbows". Or in your case, kittens I guess.
Play 2 rounds of 9 at Wabun Park in Minneapolis. I almost guarantee you would get at least 4 or more aces as well as the rest birdies. Nice round though guys that was awesome!
I keep telling people about Betteridge's law of headlines: ALL titles which ask questions ALWAYS have the answer "No". It is, therefore, very bad form to ask questions in titles and headlines, because they tell us the answer.
We have a par 2 course in sacramento @ santa anita park. I think the longest hole is 150 ft. The Boy Scouts built it to teach kids how to play disc golf. It's the only place I've gotten an ace hahaha!
This makes McBeast going 18 under on multiple pro courses insane to me. 😱
Jeff Smith to an extent I think it’s easier to go 18 under on a course with par 4’s and 5’s just because they’re more lenient. Still insane nonetheless
NC DOZER I think you may be right, but for these guys to be playing best shot doubles and not be able to grab it is pretty wild to me.
Marvin Gardens obviously he still has tons of work to do.
That's cause those have higher pars but Macbeth is great. I bet he would do very similar on this course. Also this is just for fun so it's not really fair to compare it to pro tournaments. Where people are actually trying they're hardest.
Had to go back and watch after this comment. Truly amazing performance in Michigan 🤯
Simon when you going to get to Dallas so we can film some vids.
Put Simon in the all sports battle.
Yeah, Simon!
He said he might be moving Austin..
Brodie, moving to Dallas soon, what are some good courses? I saw you played a couple in the Northern suburbs.
Come play topo Brodie!
We need more tees like this. Everybody says grow the sport but doesn't put in short tees for the new players. Without new players, disc golf won't grow.
Most courses are set up like this. All but one in town I live has short and long tees
This course owner has bus loads of young kids that play here from time to time . The reds are perfect! NH is growing the sport my man
I guess it's weird to me to grow the sport. I usually play with one other person, and I love uncrowded courses. I'm fine if the sport grows, but have no motivation to make that happen.
Simon, I need this good content in the crappy time that we're living in to maintain sanity. Thanks Bro!

Dang, Simon. This was the "Let's Roast Casey" edition!

Would have shot -18 if you had a slo-mo montage.
Paul McBeth: Shoots -18 on some pro level courses
Hey can we match that on the easiest course ever??
Yeah, but it's not super common obviously to do what he did.
@@crabtime2116 he did it twice, didn't he?
@@kevin735 Yup. Either within 1 calendar year or close to it.
@Joseph Brakefield but the courses Pars were better made.
And we do doubles :-D
Just played maple gold's today, I've only been playing for 7 months now and I'm 15. The course ate me. I shot +15. I love that I came home to see that you just uploaded this.
Simon:
"He blames the wind! I love it."
lol
thank you for giving me (us) some high end(much needed) distraction and enjoyment. A ray of sunshine. Also: I can't help but think of how great these experiences must be for Casey.
Entertaining as always, Simon! 👍🏼. This highlights the level of difficulty of McBeth’s -18 tournament rounds. Wow!
4:16 "Alright, This is a crusher, 225 ft" Made me almost spit my cereal outta my mouth, Thanks!! XD
When I see the Maple Hill beanie I know the video is about to be fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Love a good putting challenge.......keep the awesome content coming Simon
”Parked it” *dissatisfied*
- Simon Lizotte
He will never be satisfied, satisfied history has it's EEYES ON YOU!
I love how your vids start with cliff hangers! I was going to watch it regardless of all that ACE HYPE!!! YOU THUH MAN

oh my god lol is it really that big a deal?
3:35 What can't he do? It's nice to see Simon mastering yet another foreign language.
That was fun! Kind of puts Paul McBeth’s -18 in tournament play in perspective.
Almost. You guys need to try again. Thanks for keeping the vids coming 👍🏼
I do wish there more courses like this. As a very casual player (and definitely a beginner), long and/or difficult courses actually lessen my interest over time, with high scores and constant digging through forest and brush to find our discs.

This was great! Please do it again on a different course!
Sorry to say, but so happy you parred Hole 10. That hole can be so fustrating when you don't birdie! I'm not alone!
Thanks for the video. I feel lucky to get one birdie per round. I just keep practicing and practicing. I always play better after watching one of your videos. Thanks!
The real question is can you shoot -18 at the Great Lakes Open or Waco like Paul McBeth did?
Can they shoot 18 OVER on those courses?
Thanks for the DG coverage, Simon! Best Vlogger ever! Not too bad at disc golf, either.
They make approaches look so easy and their form is just so fluid...
Great job. Gave me a few ideas.
I would love to see you do this on one of my local courses.
I know they are friends but Simon, though he is probably better, always hates on his homie.. Prop a guy up. So many mistakes by Simon. And yes I know they both had a bunch but.... A blast to watch nonetheless. Great vid!

This was awesome man! Would love more of these 🤙🏻 Even on the toughest courses!
Now imagine, mcbeth has done that more than once on a professional course during a professional tournament
Day 8 of quarantine. Thanks for keeping me somewhat sane!!
Hang in there Jason. All the best.
we were all so young back then
I would think shooting an 18 down on a par 3 course would be harder than on a regular course. If you par 1, then you have to ace. On a regular course, you just need to eagle a par 4 or 5, which seems a bit easier.
When is your in the bag 2020 coming out????? Excited to see whats new....
Love these videos great job keep it up!!!
There’s a course at Arthur Park in Rock Springs, Wyoming that is almost purely a putter only course, and the longest hole is only about 250 feet.
Hey Simon loves the video but I now of a course even smaller with 2 per 2s on 18 .... super fun .
Not American, but the saying you're looking for is "It's not always rainbows and unicorns" 😄 Great vid as always! 🔥
The longest layout's doubles record at Top O The Hill is -18
Anthony Webb who?
Glad I found this channel. 💚
You guys should come up to play Devils Grove. There's 2 layouts and the fairways I bet you guys would like.
The world needs Simon and Casey more than ever now .

you should say what disc you are throwing for each hole!!
Should've done the par 36 at The Woods at Beauty Hill in Barnstead NH, they have a course where everything is par 2.
Simon if your sticking around NH for a little longer you should come throw pinnacle. I've been curious to see how a pro would approach some of the lines.

If this Simon guy keeps it up he might be on tour one day!! 😉😉
Awesome vid! Can you play more fastback rounds?
Seems like a fun challenge
Why did a frisbee golf video, that came out a month ago, get recomended for me?
This has MORE suspense than round 3 @WACO wouldve had!!!
;)
Waddup Simon?! Love your videos bro! Always rooting for ya 💪

Come out to Vancouver Island and play my local course. Would be sick to see you shoot 18 under on Coal Creek Historic Park.
Blendon Woods Metro Park in Ohio has an 18 hole course that, using their suggested pars, I've thrown a -19 and I've never even played in a competitive match.

@simonlizotte You should absolutely visit Pleasant Hill in Scarborough, ME! Super easy long course, definitely good for a video
What a hoot, thanks guys, that was fun.
Love love love your vlogs!
This is my home course! Would love to see you play the long tees! When it opens back up....
Is this the same Hunter Hill I went to high school with? Either way I was gonna say they are not driving from the long tees.
@@ShAwNpalma yessir! That’s why I was saying I would love to see them play the long tees lol
Hunter Hill let’s play sometime! I played last week and got a +18 😔 not a great day haha.
I like short courses because I want to bring out beginners to play with me and also it gives me a chance at an ace.
Got my second ever ace the other day on an 132 foot hole.
That little guy right there? Don't you worry about that little guy right there.
Hope I can run into you at Top O in the future!

you need to do wells branch in austin.. super easy, fun course.
i like it. short tees for new players! good round/
What was the purple disc that Casey used for forehand?
No slow-mo montage?!
Bet you guys can easily go -18 or more at the course in Randolph, Vermont! Check it out!
I keep telling people about Betteridge's law of headlines: ALL titles which ask questions ALWAYS have the answer "No". It is, therefore, very bad form to ask questions in titles and headlines, because they tell us the answer.
No slow mo montage? That's prolly why you got that par... lol
There is this beginner 9-hole course in Dayton, Ohio where all the holes are
I like how Simon calls himself a wuss for not making a 90 foot putt😂🤣🤣
Easiest course ever I'd say is Marina View in Penticton BC. The sign says: Beginner Par 3s, Expert Par 2s. Fun course, almost entirely ace runs.
The disc that Casey holds up at 4.53 Simon threw a few times. Anyone know which one it is?
You should play Schenley Park in Pittsburgh. Honestly just as easy, if not easier.
There is a much shorter course here in Vegas... I have blacked it out 5 times, by MYSELF.
Come play this 9 hole in Maricopa AZ.. it’s even easier even even if maybe a tad longer and I average like +3 or 4 😂
The next time that you are in New Hampshire give the hollows north a try
Dude, do a video throwing discs at ballistic gel!
We have a par 2 course in sacramento @ santa anita park. I think the longest hole is 150 ft. The Boy Scouts built it to teach kids how to play disc golf. It's the only place I've gotten an ace hahaha!
Hey simon I love your videos I love you whenever you get aces
9:08 OMG-- Simon just transferred the vee-rus. Wash ya discs with colonic silver right away.
Casey every time Simon went first: "That is not parked nor an ace run"
love the content man!
Yall need to come play rivery in austin texas. Im sure yall will score -28 at least
Come to Long Beach CA (course is technically in Cerritos CA) Definitely easiest course ever made.
"First hole, 90 feet... so its just a putt" 0:48
Hope you enjoyed my home course. Also, I hate you for making shots I've struggled with for years look so easy.
Simon... How many aces do you have total? Tournament and rec.
Y’all should do an under 18 no chain net
