Such a lovely trek through all things nice. So uplifting bringing back happy memories of when I visited Arches & other National Parks with my Father. So so many happy smiling faces. A great & gloriously delightful watch. Thank you!
What an update! The axe class looked awesome, and that trip... oh my! The old truck, the old store, those rock formations. Incredible! Nice to have you back here on the east coast though! Haha
So glad to see the Vlogs back!! Jimmy - thanks for sharing your life. Your farm, classes, adventures, and work are really inspiring to see.
That class looked like so much fun. Thanks for showcasing awesome craftsman like Tracy and Anthony. Love seeing old time places like the Bedrock Store.
Jimmy & Taylor, I hope you never stop chronicling these great adventures. No matter the length, I love the stories that are found within. Much love!
I'd love to restore a printing press at some point. Very high gizmocity factor.
Love your vids
As the son of a Pressman I agree.
I smell a colab in the future
Do it.
Hey ..... Hand Tool Rescue .....Nice
That class looks like such an awesome learning experience. Cant wait to get in on the action!
I feel as though I take a trip and go on a journey with every Vlog.....I guess thats the point huh :-)
i wish you were with me on every trip xo
I know what you mean! It always makes me realize how little of the US I've seen, I don't think I've ever even been outside of my time zone.
Ah! That Colorado couple! So great! I love when that happens. I moved to Dallas about 4 years ago from the city and it never fails whenever I hear an accent from back east I immediately gravitate and become friends.
Glad you got to enjoy some of the beauty of the west. I live 20 minutes form Zion national park. Still amazed by the beauty every time I look at it.
This class was fantastic. The food was amazing. I got to meet Spike oh yeah, and Jimmy too!
Jimmy Diresta, one of the coolest guys on the planet, not just for his skill-set and attitude, but for all the cool people he knows.
Only Jimmy Diresta can stop at a gas station in the middle of nowhere and meet another new yorker, and not only that he's as free spirited as Jimmy is... love it this is why I watch this channel so awesome!
Superb vid. Great blend of project making and everyday life. I look forward to meeting and collaborating on a project someday. Keep up the good work.
Landscaping on house look’n sharp!
Glad to see you teaching these classes. It's all coming together up state, isn't it! Been a long time working on this business. Kudos to you & Taylor!
Best vlog to date, Jimmy! So much enjoyable and interesting content in this one. Loved Anthony along with his store and great creations! What talent in the middle of nowhere! And it looked like the axe class was a lot of fun and good camaraderie. I really enjoy your channel. Keep up the good work!
Wow, cool old building! They've got our store beat by just one year! Our family store was built in 1882 as a general store and post office, and part of it used to be a funeral home!
It was an honor to demonstrate the slabbing. Maybe we can do more in the future. Awesome footage from your trip home, it's always amazing how small this world, that was a amazing that he was from NY also. Be well Brother!
Always great to hear you share you stories. Some of those creations were amazing. It does always seem like the most unique people and encounters are rarely those you planned or expected.
Great video Jimmy. That store ... beautiful! The Axe class looked great too. Glad to have you back man.
Hi from a fellow maker on the southern tip of Africa, thanks for the great video and your refreshing insight into American life and these fascinating characters that you find.
Thank you Jimmy loved the wood landscapes ...
Absolutely awesome stuff, always leaves me such a great feeling after watching. One day I'll be in one of your classes for sure.
Jimmy Diresta. Able to find the best of people in the remotest places. Because you are always looking! Thanks Jimmy.
Jimmy - what a fantastic video! I just loved watching this. And the music is as fabulous as the videography!! I gotta take that axe class one of these days. Keep doing what you're doing - I love it!!
Jimmy thanks for sharing , I feel like my visit I had with you just keeps going with each of your Vlogs !!! Thanks again Regards BobLee
That bedrock store is amazing! 😃 Great find!
The beginning you start the video talking about a promise you made to buy no more old equipment until you finish the power hammer restoration. The end of the video...buys another piece of old equipment. lol "I got the sickness" Jimmy you're the best, except for the spoon making... then the 2nd best. ;-) Enjoyed the vlog, have a great weekend.
ManCraftingTM hahah it needs NO restoration it doesn't fall under the guidelines oxoxx
Awesome find then! Can't wait to see what you print with it.
We New Yorkers are hidden all over the middle of no where in the west. I hope you enjoyed the road trip across, it is a spectacular country to see. Thanks for the video.
I'm a modern day printing press operator. Really enjoy the old printing presses. Thanks.
Thank you Jimmy, Tracey, Taylor, and Derek!! It was a blast! The whole group was awesome.
What a stroke of luck to meet those people in Colorado! Very cool!
Best 16 minutes and 45 seconds of my day... thanks Jimmy.
That guy in the middle of nowhere is an artist!
Wow Anthony seems like a cool cat! Great find!
Very cool, thanks for the shots of NM. Makes me miss it more.
Thanks, Jimmy. As always, neat, neat stuff and cool music to boot.
...bummed I missed the class.. love the music mix Mr. D !
You really give me the feels with your vlogs, Mr. DiResta✔️
Ah! Jimmy, such a great video! Thank you sir. You were probably the closest you will ever get to me on your trip! West Texas has New Yorkers too! 😉
I have an old double bit axe head in need of a handle, a draw knife & spoke shave, and an oak tree that came down in the hurricane. Some assembly may be required. :)
I love the vlogs man, well everything actually! What a dream to take such a class. Very awesome stuff thanks for sharing!
You find the most amazing people in the middle of nowhere. Another great video Jimmy!
My ice pick arrived today, with my Diresta push stick. I feel like family now. Thanks.
Totally love your vlogs, Jimmy. Really glad they are back. 😀
Jimmy ,your puppy in this video reminded me of the Muppets. LOL! Had a similar experience of meeting someone from where I lived in the Texas Longhorn state park when I went to Arizona from Rockford Illinois. Set up a tent and in the morning when we could see the couple in a tent near us were from one town over. Taylor matches your energy! Missed spike????? LOL!
Great video Jimmy! I love seeing you guys use chopped trees :)
I really love that warm and open minded hospitality you often face in the US. Here in Germany, they probably call the cops if you stop at a shop in the middle of the night and taking pictures. But even if they dont, noone will ask you for a coffee or a overnight stay :D
I hope, at some day, we'll met eachother. You're probably the most authentic person here on RUclips, besides Laura and Matthias, at least for me. You seems to be so open minded and warm-hearted, but still modest.
Have a nice weekend :)
what a cool experience meeting those shop owners. Awesome!!
I saved a 1930ish ATF Kelly C cylinder press from the scrap pile a few years back. My ex boss called me and said I was the only person in town who knew how to run and then asked 'Do you want it? I moved it on a flat bed wrecker. When we slid it off the back into my garage, the front of the truck came off the ground. The heavyest thing the driver ever moved. About 5-6 thousand pounds. I thought maybe I would get around to using it, but I have too many irons in the fire. If you're interested, you can HAVE it along with about a ton of lead type and spacing material, furniture, lead saw, galley proof press, quoins and lots of extras. Tutorials, no extra charge. Tony Stabler
Hey, Jimmie i recommend you to look up David Bull here on youtube, he does traditional japanese printmaking. I have a feeling, that you will find it really interesting
Agreed, I've gotten a few prints from him, and he's great!
I went to his shop in Japan. A great talent.
Thank you for throwing me in another rabbit hole!! ;-)
I love watching these. Cheers Jimmy!
the sickness!! it's so infectious, it can be passed along through video! strangely I caught it just after finding your videos Jimmy... my bank account has also never recovered since :D
I love watching your vlogs! they are so well put together!
Wow! NYer’s everywhere! Love it.
Thanks for sharing.
Tony-nyc.
Nice video! Abom79 will be proud of how you store the dial indicators at your lathe. ;)
That bowl was cool.
Watch you every week. This vid was really great.
It's a good week for all , (and hard week for me).... Luv'u and Taylor too, thank'u Jimmy, it's just a good time to see u every end of week, so fresh ;) "Coucou" from FRANCE !!
That axe class looks so fun hope you do some more in years to come keep it up jimmy
Damn I love these vlogs... Thanks again for doin what you do Jimmy.
Hard to believe that anybody pushes you. But Taylor got your axe class going and made it possible for you guys to meet fellow New Yorkers in the Colorado wilderness.
Ok you went to Utah I hope you went through Moab and stopped at the hole in the rock store. It's a cave they made into a store
Awesome Jimmy! I hope to make the next maker class you do!
That store in the middle of nowhere is awesome. hahahah
loving the vlogs!!! great video and that guys art is really cool!
Oh, that funky music in background. Too cool!
Hey jimmy great video ..... everyone was having fun
Personally have never set an axe head dry before always soak the wedge and spine in linseed oil or motor oil what ever is handy .
This was great. Taylor, makin' things happen, and instigating some happy happenstance.
hello to jimmy. as always a great video. even the shooting crew participated in the timbersport .. the winner is obvious. having such a cresy-ax waiting for new works from you inspired by the trip. I sori for translating Google.
Has nothing to do with this awesome video. But I had an idea for you. A walking Cain, made of metal or hardwood, with the handle being two hammer heads back to back. One longer to support the hand.
Just Fitzy
That's a good idea!
What a great vlog, man and what a great journey!
OMG! You guys traveled to your future! You met youse guys in time! :)
In the middle of nowhere. No cell, no cars just some crazy bastards, sitting in stone go-carts, in only their shirts, foot paddling the carts barefooted. LOL.
Everyone has a story to tell - to bad most don't have the ability to tell them - thanks for sharing Jimmy
"Then Taylor and I took a stone arch making class....Mother Nature, she's this talented artist, so talented, she uses water and wind to erode the rocks......"
The Bedrock Store thing is great, Ima visit that guy!..cheers!...
I look forward to the video of the shaving horse. I really want to make one of these. Maybe I can get a Diresta stencil to paint on it.
Heartwarming! Welcome home again.
ooo man if you ever go back through Colorado try to stop in bishops castle, this guy is building it on his own takes rocks from the side of the road its amazing jimmy its worth a visit
I wish I knew you were in Utah!...I'm not one to toot my own horn, but I am a pretty damn good guide to Utahs natural wonders!...;)...Glad you saw Arches!...
Keep up the vlogs jimmy. We all missed you!
Love to see the vlog have missed the regular peek into your world. Thanks for all you do I hope to get a mr maker sign!!!
Love your videos. Very educational and inspiring. Please make some more "Jimmy's tips" videos!
Great vid.. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 never know where your going to meet us New Yorkers.. Lol I'm up in CT. Now
I really dig these longer vids. It's a rainy Saturday here in Aus; a great day for youtubing.
I'm glad you guys stopped and went to Bryce and Arches!
Jimmy, you continue to make special videos - each and every one. Love your on the spot interviews. Thank you so much.
Jimmy, can you please start posting music credits in the description? Musicians are makers too and deserve recognition. Thanks brother!
Colin Cruickshank most all music is free from the creator studio. No credit needed
Thanks Jimmy! Mainly wanted to know where to find it. Keep up the great work.
I know I just want to know who it was so I can listen to more... good choices!
How does one get access to the creator studio to listen to the songs you pick? You have talent for picking the best jazz/ blues songs.
The guy from Bedrock looks a lot like Jonathan Banks the guy who played Mike Ehrmantraut from Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul
Always great to watch people who love their craft.
I would watch a long form series of your travels on the backroads.
A spoon and bowl, now wheres the ice cream?
Also great vlog Jimmy! Love the edit pace
Chandler & Price presses came in sizes 8 x 12, 10 x 15, 12 x 18 and 14 1/2 x 22. You need gauge pins to register your stock on the platen. The process of makeready is a necessary procedure for quality printing. I have 50 years in letterpress printing. please feel free to ask any questions.
Mike Landry thank you! I am learning lots from RUclips also playing and experimenting!!
Amazing what a lot of water in a little bit of time can do...
I like your sickness. Keep up the great work.
Love everything you guys are awesome!
That guy Anthony Pisano looks and sounds a lot like the actor Mike Ehrmantraut ( Breaking Bad ) dontcha think ?
That bloody dog at the end. Lol. Remember transformers? Resemblance is immaculate.
Thanks man.
