Doug and Stacy helped motivate my wife and I to move off-grid. We have been living off grid since June 1st 2023. We have just started our off grid life and I thank Doug and Stacy for all of the useful information. They literally changed my life.

Just this past weekend I was chatting with two of my friends and we all agreed that if we were younger we would live mostly off grid. This world is going down with so much meanness and crooked people. Thanks again and I love all your channels.
I am retired as well no husband for the strong arm, that are needed, started 6 years ago, moved to an off grid land just 5 acres no regrets, its never to late, even one acres would be ok as well, get out from under the matrix.
This conversation made me so emotional. The wisdom and insight you all have is so inspiring. I’m hoping and praying my husband and I can buy some land someday and live off grid. It’s too expensive right now. We’re both in our 30’s and tired of the conventional life. We are fortunate to have our home in the suburbs and I grow as much produce as I can but the lack of community and loneliness has been really tough. We haven’t met any like minded people. I just crave a simple life like this. I’m tired of going to the grocery stores and feeling dependent. We’re currently hoping to buy meat in bulk from a farmer. I honestly think things will just continue to get worse in this country. God is good though and he’s in control

Tim thank you so much for filming this as have followed them for well over a decade. I'm so grateful to know that more and more people are getting involved in the truth. I just turned 74 and worry about my younger human beings. Back in my youth there was none of this being talked about. Due to not being physically up to par I watch a lot of you vicariously. Definitely the nicest talk I have listened to by this couple. Started watching some of their items this year. The calm way they spoke without getting all hyped up appealed to me. I generally battle with the loudness of what I have seen of Americans in general on shows. So I usually steer clear. ( generalizing here ) But this was most pleasant. And to see them encourage others as they did in this talk, wanting to strengthen the homesteading community was heartwarming. Here in Soth Africa there are also a few who have got the message to leave the cities and been called to country living. It is a challenge due to the high costs of items here, and safety is a huge issue. But I do believe that if you do what you can, within your means, God will bless the effort of His children that seek to do His will. I have been blessed to raise a family in the countryside where the evils of the world are less visible, and more so if you don't allow it to enter into your homes through the company you keep, or the books or television you make available to your family. As always there are people who scorn those who do not live according to what is deemed normal, but to my experience, it's usually from extended family. But the results will show in time which was the best course of action. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord. Colossians 3:23 Thankyou for making this available. Most encouraging.

I love you guys. I get all pumped to do all the things you talk about. I was watching this video with ear buds and realized I do sleep with my phone right next to me. When I was a kid we ate a large breakfast and something small at 5 or 6 in the evening. Now I know another reason why. I love to be outside but haven't been doing alot of that and I know its better for me to be outside and walking. Spiritually I really need to pray more read more and live my life more spiritually. Thank you for the wake up call.

I’ve been watching Doug and Stacy, my first homesteading videos, for a few years. Now, I’m homesteading in town on my almost a quarter of an acre. I’ve got 10 chickens, a large vegetable/ herb garden and I’ve been doing apothecary. I ferment and have learned a lot from both of them, her books are great. They have given me a lot of confidence and I enjoy seeing them whenever I can.
Thanks RidgeLife for sharing this video. It's good to hear from men like Doug as well as the women like Stacy, in this community. Husbands need to tell their responsibilities on the homestead life. Fixing, repairing, designing and planting /growing etc. But...mostly their guidance of their families financial, emotional, educational and esp. spiritual life. Don't let this movement die.

I'm only 15 min in. Made me think about sleep habits I get hm from wk and WK in garden by the time I come in it's 9-10 then I gotta shower cook and go bed. I grew up on the farm - we had 2 pumps for the well, but if one went out (it happens from time to time) we had to resort to lowering buckets with a rope - the manual pump that we had couldn't pull the water up from that deep well. Outhouse, wood stove, heating water on the stove for baths. Water for our dairy goat herd, 144 head, was carried by me, every day in 5 gallon buckets, several hundred yards from the well to the outbuildings where the goats were housed. Up at 4 AM every morning, to get the chores done in time for school. It is difficult for farm kids to relate to the other kids in public school - If you are planning on homesteading, 1) Do *not* raise 144 goats, that is too many. 2) Homeschool your children - putting a farm kid in public school is a form of child abuse. Putting _any_ kid in public school is child abuse, but its worse for the farm kids. I could do a whole lecture on education, if I was not so busy with homesteading to go to these meetups - I would like to put one together in December: Nothing to plant, nothing to harvest, and the kids wont be dropping for another month or two 🐐

It is difficult for farm kids to relate to the other kids in public school - If you are planning on homesteading, 1) Do *not* raise 144 goats, that is too many. 2) Homeschool your children - putting a farm kid in public school is a form of child abuse. Putting _any_ kid in public school is child abuse, but its worse for the farm kids. I could do a whole lecture on education, if I was not so busy with homesteading to go to these meetups - I would like to put one together in December: Nothing to plant, nothing to harvest, and the kids wont be dropping for another month or two 🐐
