Luke the Notable is probably the best Hardcore channel because his content is chill and he just isn't that good at Minecraft so it is fun to watch him do something so badly and think about what he could've done.
i honestly prefer his older videos. right now they’re not horrible, but it feels like he has to fill every little spot with any joke. i don’t even think they’re unfunny but there’s just a lot of them and they’re predictable, and he always describes what happens on screen. for example, “i chopped some wood, in order to build my house and to get emeralds, which will make me richer”, whereas now it’d be “yeah just choppin some wood like you in the morning and subjugating villagers” like sure it’s funny but he’s not explaining why he’s doing it exactly
agreed, although i think in the start they’re paced way too fast. like his first day which included getting wood, stone and iron in 1 day wasn’t even half a minute long
I used to watch everyone of sb737’s videos, but they got too long, I personally would just have much more enjoyment watching a plethora of shorter videos than a practical minimovie as a RUclips video, sb started his hardcore videos at about 15-25 minutes, but now they seem to be 45-65, which I personally don’t want to watch, and I know my attention span is fried, but that’s not the point
The fact that the clickbaity bright coloured blob skins were used in the thumbnail is very funny to me. Take me back to the Era of skins which were actually interesting to look at
@edgarsintitulo4468 nah those were hype, I would prefer the edgy 7 year old skins than seeing the same blob with a smiley face but with different colours
i feel awful for sandiction because he had a truly good idea, and after he stopped making videos, everyone milked HIS content for views and money which is completely inappropriate in my opinion. i am truly sad that people are making fun of sandiction for doing nothing wrong when really they are the ones in the wrong. why is the internet like this?
I know right? I feel like he was originally the one that came up with capturing mobs, using different biomes in his projects, and so much more. He did nothing wrong and should be respected.
Yup, he was the first one ever to think about capturing mobs, nobody had ever thought of that before, and using different biomes in his projects too, it has never been done before and never even been thought of before by anyone else in the history of time. Sandiction is just a pioneer of Minecraft and gaming as a whole. I agree with you saying he did nothing wrong, but to say he was originally the one who came up with these ideas is insane. Just because he's the most popular one to do it does not mean that he was the first one to do it.
One of my favorite hardcore yters is Fwhip not because he does giant mega projects or does near impossible challenges (like nether beacon) or finds a way to exploit a dupe glitch to get items instead of putting in the effort to get the items in survival (like SB737 with notch apples) the reason Fwhip is my favorite is he is very chill, takes it slow while also not making his videos highly edited (example watch a SB737 video then watch a Fwhip video), he also doesn't focus on 1 mega project for half a year, he does a bunch of little projects/builds that in time makes the world look like 1 giant build (example the spawn cities and nearby cities), he also does other series (Empires SMP, hardcore skyblock, SOS, FantasyMC, 30 day hardcore, etc.) to mix things up so his audience (and him) doesn't get burnt out
That's the great thing about LTN's 100 days, he didn't speedrun at all, and took almost 20 days to get diamonds, and 200 days to beat the game. Also, at the start of his series, he didn't really know how to make everything perfect, and it's way more entertaining to watch people figure things out through trial and error rather than people like SB who know literally everything about the game from the start of the series.
Okay by "lego building sound effect" im pretty sure they refer to the time lapse building section, where they play music and sync the sound of blocks being placed
Well-made video! It's just frustrating that you can’t stop people from farming this type of content for easy money, while genuine effort often gets overshadowed by the same copied formulas and repetitive content.
7:03 yes, that’s what sets him apart. he doesn’t name his video “i got INFINITE BEDROCK in minecraft!” but “i made a bedrock FACTORY in minecraft!” everyone knows you can get bedrock, but a bedrock *factory* sounds way more interesting
I remember when LTN's 100 days came out. Im pretty sure it was a few months maybe half a year before people really started the trend. I may be wrong though this is just what I remember
Watching this video really did make me question everything. I’ve gotten much better at the game and can get full enchanted diamond in a single Minecraft day but it’s also limiting the fun I could have in the game. Instead of trying to get that in one day I should slow down and focus on what’s fun about the game. Thank you I’ll try this out.

Aust is one of my favorite Hardcore youtubers, sure he uses a more complex editing but not oversaturated, his projects aren't super original, but they don't need to be like that, i loved how his storage system has a theme combined the cherry trees and the lush caves, and videos about collecting items from data packs, and collecting every update, and at least his skin isn't blob.
What is missing for me in MC youtubers is their personalities, youtubers like lockdown life, carvs and many more feels just so fake and souless they don't even seem to care about their work. Fortunately there're still yourbers who put a lot of personality such as Mogswamp he is so dedicated into his projects and he's also very entertaining.
I totally agree with this, so it inspired me to take it very slow taken hardcore series thats not overly edited! Thanks for bringing more light to this!
Idk about hardcore vanilla, but what I heard from modded letsplayers about long slow-paced letsplays is: 1) RUclips tracks a percent of your video that is watched by viewers so making long videos is bad fro views. 2) People have a natural tendency to drop off after, like, idk, 3, 5, 10 videos in a series so making long series is bad for views. E. g. editing everything you've done to 15 minutes is what RUclips algorithm wants from you, and that is sad
This is interesting video, strange how many views he got on his first upload. I also noticed that all hardcore youtubers use the hard core heart in their thumbnails.
I love making youtube videos and the only way to make it a viable career atm seems to be creating highly edited fast paced content, Id love to make slower paced more personality based content but its too much of a risk when you need to pay the bills :/
@michael_m38 you know it takes about 100 plus hours to do one hardcore episode, that's because I record and edit it all by myself so I would either have to be quit youtube and get a regular job, or push myself and work hard on youtube and post videos that actually do well, why do the fast paced videos do well if everyone hates them?
This is why im stuck between doing videos that would be well edited and well produced or simple. No matter what i do, it never gets any results, so im considering doing simpler and consistent content which would at least not make my channel appear dead. I also dont want to be too similar with how i edit to all these farms so it takes even more time to edit in a good but unique way.
In my Opinion, a youtuber I watch named Nuttist (Nuts) makes great videos with recently going through each tool/armor set. I think its a great idea you could incorporate into Hardcore
While I fully agree that it sucks that the algorithm pushes these videos, it's because they keep getting views and watch time. We're in an unfortunate spot. There's two audiences. An audience who wants flashy videos that don't let them get bored for half a second and an audience who doesn't like that style. That first audience is larger, and it's why videos are very over the top and flashy now. For any creator (and ESPECIALLY smaller creators) you have to cater to one side which means potentially losing the other. The bigger creators who influence the genre are almost always going to make videos for the larger audience. Smaller creators will follow. It's very unfortunate.
I've been making personality based lowkey type edited mc content consistently for around a year now and it's rlly hard to stand out in an ocean of highly skilled and edited videos crafted to keep the viewer watching as long as possible. I don't blame ppl for jumping on the trend, but with how the algorithm works, creators with unique ideas can get easily overshadowed. A couple months ago I made a Hypixel Skyblock video to celebrate hitting 1k subs where I built sets and had a storyline and even had my viewers totally involved so they could literally be apart of the video. It was a video I was rlly proud of and hadn't saw anyone do only for it to get 400 views and gain me 5 subs. The landscape is constantly changing and the ones that want to be successful move with the trends.
I liked the Minecraft hardcore vids from 2020-2021 but then as it got more popular it felt like every RUclipsr in the Minecraft space was doing the same thing 😢 I can’t even catch up with people like hardcore tryhards on like day 15k and I just get overwhelmed 😅.
I totally see where you're coming from. Growing up, minecraft videos were all I watched and they were all so interesting and creative to me. I especially loved watching DanTDM. My brothers and I adored his personality and creativity and it made us want to play minecraft ourselves. I still adore minecraft to date, however I totally see how the creativity of videos has began to fade. I'm beginning to lose interest in those videos only because they all seem the same now. I still enjoy watching them, but the joy I used to gain from those videos is not the same, which could of course be from the coming of age as well, I'm almost 16. I just wanna see new ideas instead of all the same oversaturated videos that youtube is overloaded with now. That's what youtube was built off of, and that's what it's lost.
The reason that this is so common now is simply because of the short form contents affect on people’s attention span. If you don’t have an over edited video, then retention with be low, and RUclips will not recommend it.
Also once in a while I will stumble across somebody with amazing, original Minecraft videos that aren’t super highly edited, but they always have barely any views, this really just proves my point.
I personally liked sandiction. It just didnt seem super generic and sloppy, and he appeared somewhat early on. Even moreso he never milked it unlike every other player. I will say though, sandiction please get a new skin. Its sad seeing him thrown in with the typical slop videos and channels, cause hes one of the ogs
I'm actually currently trying to survive, to hopefully have the longest lasting hardcore world on bedrock edition since it released last month or so. And I actually stream it ALL, like as in......NO VIDEOS. I believe full, pure, raw footage can sometimes be the best when it comes to Minecraft/Hardcore.
I personally love FoundInMN, mainly due to him not using totems in his series, and he doesn’t have a jump cut every two seconds, has a very nice editing style, and is just nice to listen to. I’d really recommend him if you need something to watch
I think the main problem is that Hardcore vids became more about “who can do the most stuff in the least amount of time” Luke is still the absolute GOAT with his vids tho. Good jokes, cool builds, just a nice father/psychopath personality overall.
I can relate to feeling MC content feeling samey. A while back, I subscribed to a bunch of MC content creators and realised after a while, they all did the same thing; massive projects in one video, same editing and music and a random blob or colour as a skin. I ended up unsubbing cause when they uploaded, I honest couldn't tell who was who. LTN, Aust, AGN, Kohanii, RagePlayGames, TheBestCubeHD, Wildez, Wisp and Yeah Jaron are some MC content creators I recommend
Really I think all these Minecraft RUclipsrs try hard to make their content and hardcore content is good content though and “most” of these RUclipsrs genuinely try hard to make their content so I don’t think they should all be called a boring repetitive trend
Not when it’s so easy to “cheat”. You literally cannot believe anyone who doesn’t play live, as they have so many options to have do-overs if something goes wrong. There have been some great videos explaining these issues too
agreed, i don’t play hardcore because of the risk of dying (let’s be honest after getting totems it’s basically impossible to die), but because it keeps the game interesting for me, and i absolutely despite getting my items when i die
On my solo hardcore world o got full enchanted netherite armor/tools before going for the dragon and wither. I do have totems but I don’t use them because I don’t want to play knowing that a totem will save me, I want to play knowing skill with keep me alive.
I think Kolanii still makes pretty good hardcore content, because he doesn't build the same stuff as everyone else and I find his style of narrating and editing pretty funny
I hate this type of stuff so much. I've always wanted to be a youtuber and aspired to be like ltn and others, I pour time into videos just to get one view who clicks off after a minute. It really frustrates me that people can make this overedited garbage and people like me spend hours per video for less than 100 views and under 100 subs.
I think people originally watched hardcore content for the challenge, because if you are invincible in the first episode you might as well be in survival
I actually make hardcore videos, but they are at a casual/slow pace in the game of Minecraft. Yet I suck and have died many times, I continue to generate a new world and try again. Btw I’m doing it because it’s fun
The sheer amount of "chill" and monotone sounding sandiction rip-offs is insane. Their personality is the same (that mind numbingly boring personality where they quietly point out the most boring shit). Their editing is the same (meme editing where someone goes "he need some milk! every 5 seconds). Or they'll use the exact same music and the exact same sound effects? They have a clip of them farming crops? There's a guaranteed 99.99 percent chance they'll play that audio clip of that guy going "BRRRRRRRRR!" like he's making race car noises. The video ideas are also all the same and they're mind numbingly soulless as well. Yes, please show me how you trapped every mob in the game. Wow, that's so interesting. Wait. You turned X dimension into Y or Z dimension??? Wow! That's so original! /s. They have zero original ideas and it would kill them to make a build using an original style that's unique and different rather than going "Huh. I have an iron farm. Let me use litematica to make a pixel art giant iron golem to cover it up! That's never been done before!" Those creators are absolutely soulless, boring, have no personality, and they take the fun out of Minecraft. They treat the game like it's a chore or a job where you have a laundry list of tasks to do. I play Minecraft because I genuinely enjoy it, not because I'm trying to milk the algorithm for views like these absolute goobers.
that one video called "THE PERFECT START IN HARDCORE MINECRAFT" and its all in 30 hours makes me so annoyed THAT'S NOT A START YOU ALREADY PLAYED FOR A WHILE LMAO
I'm confused, and downright suspicious, of how similar all these hardcore videos are. I get that trends come and go. This isn't unique to Minecraft, or RUclips, or gaming; humans always jump onto trends and overdo them until the next thing comes around. Minecraft on RUclips has had many trends over the years, from the original Let's Plays, to adventure maps, to mod showcases, to 100 days challenges; all trends that were saturated at some point and died down. What gets me with the hardcore series is just HOW similar they are; I've never seen anything like it. I've seen well over 20+ recommended hardcore series that all begin with a first episode titled "The PERFECT Start to My Hardcore World". Like, that's a very specific phrase that is copied over and over and over again. Then if you watch them, they all copy very specific actions. The channel is named something generic like "Floopy", their skin is a solid, bright color with a minimalist face, their totem is retextured to their skin, they all use the same 3 royalty-free music tracks, they do they generic editing of "placing/mining blocks in beat with the music" thing, they start each video showing the final build blurred out... I could go on and on. My point is that these series go beyond following a trend. They are eerily similar to the point of being direct copies. I'm not sure if creativity is just so dead that creators feel the need to copy every aspect of other people, or if there's some "Minecraft RUclipsr starter-pack" course out there that gives these people an exact formula to make money on RUclips.
Bruh it’s not slop, I’m tried of reading comments like that, my other channel always gets to comments, slop is content that is hyper edited, just stop.
Hardcore now is just milking money at this point. From unedited and not perfect starts with interesting skins with litle projects to perfect edited start. They have blob skins with biga$$ projects thats very repetitive. And also they manage to spot 4 villages on a montain now while back then just a field with a lake was enough

bro Luke TheNotable is the only good 100 Days RUclipsr, cause it's not all just the same 100 days. It's all biome challenges or completely different things. Like his 100 Days Old Minecraft is so fire
0:52 that's a complete lie. it didn't blow up instantly... his later videos blew up, and all of those viewers watched his first video. get the facts right.
@Instinxts why are you being so snappy about it? do you even care? I was pointing out a flaw in the video, and you're saying "you'll live." that just proves you made this for clout
I feel like these hardcore youtubers just go way to fast, just like you said they did, and I feel like that might've contributed to how others play the game. I've done it myself, getting as rich as possible as fast as possible, and in my opinion that isn't really that fun. Ofcorse, others might disagree, but Still. Also lately I've noticed a lot of minecraft content, where people talk about how modern minecraft is bad and the old versions play much better, but maybe they feel that way because of how they play, not what the play.
That's SO true, it really bugs me when I see people call Minecraft "bad" now because they saw 5 hardcore videos with the same thing happening over and over. It's not Minecraft's fault, I think it's RUclips's fault for recommending the same kind of content over and over
The amount of 2 million subscribers channels I see that make the same videos I starting to think these are bots. I cannot distinguish one of these guys from another, none of them have any personality, it’s like it’s all the same person.

It was a video I was rlly proud of and hadn't saw anyone do only for it to get 400 views and gain me 5 subs. The landscape is constantly changing and the ones that want to be successful move with the trends.
I wish you well
I liked the Minecraft hardcore vids from 2020-2021 but then as it got more popular it felt like every RUclipsr in the Minecraft space was doing the same thing 😢 I can’t even catch up with people like hardcore tryhards on like day 15k and I just get overwhelmed 😅.
The Lego style is
Place a block
Cut
Place a block
Cut
I hate it it makes me feel like imma have a seizure
0:24 Yeah, not one of the most popular. Still very popular but not one of the most
“netherite armor in the first 10 minutes!!!111!!1”
To this day, Exploding Tnt has the best hardcore series
@@dang3rguy337 Share those absolute gems please
1 months
It’s sad because I have always wanted to make my own hardcore series
I wouldnt call it ruined but i think it has definitely lost the wonder it used to bring
I personally love FoundInMN, mainly due to him not using totems in his series, and he doesn’t have a jump cut every two seconds, has a very nice editing style, and is just nice to listen to. I’d really recommend him if you need something to watch
LTN is the best hardcore channel as he's was the start the og and his editing style is more digestible unlike the over stimulation other channels give
I think the main problem is that Hardcore vids became more about “who can do the most stuff in the least amount of time”
Luke is still the absolute GOAT with his vids tho.
This is really well done. Subbed
I love those videos of the hardcore series like the ones from kolanii but i totaly agree with u
Really I think all these Minecraft RUclipsrs try hard to make their content and hardcore content is good content though and “most” of these RUclipsrs genuinely try hard to make their content so I don’t think they should all be called a boring repetitive trend
The problem is that hardcore really isnt impressive... at all.
Not when it’s so easy to “cheat”. You literally cannot believe anyone who doesn’t play live, as they have so many options to have do-overs if something goes wrong. There have been some great videos explaining these issues too
@ also the fact that the game simply isn’t that hard, the only things that could end you are silly mistakes.
@@marcelburdon9795 yeah that was mentioned in this video too. Once you have a raid farm and GoD aRmOr you are not gonna die anyway
Mods spice that up
agreed, i don’t play hardcore because of the risk of dying (let’s be honest after getting totems it’s basically impossible to die), but because it keeps the game interesting for me, and i absolutely despite getting my items when i die
I’m so sick of the rubbish skins the 100 days, the perfect start, the hardcore. It’s so boring icl
6:26 (clears throat) hello 🙂
That’s what mudflaps understood
5:50 That sounds like it.I've only heard it on a few
That's never been done before!"
Those creators are absolutely soulless, boring, have no personality, and they take the fun out of Minecraft. They treat the game like it's a chore or a job where you have a laundry list of tasks to do. I play Minecraft because I genuinely enjoy it, not because I'm trying to milk the algorithm for views like these absolute goobers.
your videos are great man hope you really succeed and hope you remember me when your famous 😂😂
DanTDM is the goat
The editing and pacing is so fast that I’m lost within the first 2 minutes.
retire blob skins. Bring back Gamer Creeper skins
That's why I upload what ever I want
Definitely not lukes fault, he’s an og and is probably the best hardcore yter
By watching this video im getting the motivation to make a hardcore series in my channel, should I do it?
that one video called "THE PERFECT START IN HARDCORE MINECRAFT" and its all in 30 hours makes me so annoyed
THAT'S NOT A START YOU ALREADY PLAYED FOR A WHILE LMAO
Slop video about the slop
What’s so sloppy about this video, he clearly put effort into it
what the guy above me said
Bruh it’s not slop, I’m tried of reading comments like that, my other channel always gets to comments, slop is content that is hyper edited, just stop.
Wdym by slop??
**EXTREMELY LOUD INCORRECT BUZZER**
Hardcore now is just milking money at this point. From unedited and not perfect starts with interesting skins with litle projects to perfect edited start. They have blob skins with biga$$ projects thats very repetitive. And also they manage to spot 4 villages on a montain now while back then just a field with a lake was enough
What a yapping!
okay im kinde new to the whole youtube minecraft scene and is was thinking about making a hardcore video myself but dint know what people waanted so i will mention this vid in mine and go to work i wont diapoint you guys
YOU PEAVE SNADICTION OUT OF THIS
Zedaph skin?
Ain't no way you said "hardcore is ruined" and put LTN on the thumbnail
i watched the intro, and in my opinion, 100 days isnt the most repetitive minecraft mininiche, civilization videos are.
i think 100 days is definetly done more but civilisation videos are straight up boring
average roblox tycoon experience
bro Luke TheNotable is the only good 100 Days RUclipsr, cause it's not all just the same 100 days. It's all biome challenges or completely different things. Like his 100 Days Old Minecraft is so fire
0:52 that's a complete lie. it didn't blow up instantly...
his later videos blew up, and all of those viewers watched his first video.
get the facts right.
@@MightyWatches you’ll live
@Instinxts why are you being so snappy about it? do you even care?
I was pointing out a flaw in the video, and you're saying "you'll live."
that just proves you made this for clout
@@Instinxts "you’ll live" he pointed something out and this is your response?
@@Instinxts slop video about the slop
@@MightyWatches It's not for clout. Try again.
i remeber the old sb737 like 4 years ago better times
kolanii is funny and entertainment is all i care about
I feel like these hardcore youtubers just go way to fast, just like you said they did, and I feel like that might've contributed to how others play the game.
It's not Minecraft's fault, I think it's RUclips's fault for recommending the same kind of content over and over
LTN 100 days to 300 is peak, the rest of them is kinda long to watch tbh
Honestly I love the hundred days style and Luke the notable is one of my favourite RUclipsrs but that’s just my opinion
i think a really good youtube channel that goes back to slow paced editing is calles SoupSoup.
Luke the notable is hands down the best hardcore player by far.
“The perfect start to my hardcore world” ahh post
The amount of 2 million subscribers channels I see that make the same videos I starting to think these are bots. I cannot distinguish one of these guys from another, none of them have any personality, it’s like it’s all the same person.
Yeah. I agree it gets really repetitive. But i still like Sandiction, though. You can't change my mind on that
Tbh I’m glad SB737 has moved on from the absolute stampy rip off he used to be
