Regarding the 1.53 update and mod compatibility: - Real Traffic Density mod will be updated hopefully over the weekend - Brutal Graphics and Weather has been updated - California Stop has been updated - Train Length Mod is being replaced by a new one soon according to the author. Please keep in mind that this is a game that's updated very often, and therefore, mods require updating too. After a major update, please wait for some days for the mods to be updated by their author. Also, you can be smart like me (:p) and not update your game at all till all the mods are updated. You can keep playing the previous version of the game. You won't be missing out much for those couple of weeks!
One mod nobody has created yet but is necessary for the complete trucking experience... The blowing garbage and homeless encampments mod. You ain't trucking unless you drive through the muck and sludge of a true industrial warehouse zone. The game makes cities and trucking look way too clean.
Finally someone else sees this. The sim version of California is completely sterile. Driving through Oakland is laughably clean. Meanwhile they simulate trash, neglected billboards, and abandoned buildings in red states like Oklahoma and Arkansas. The fear of blue state lawsuits is transparent.

Think I’m just going to save up to build a better PC and then start making the game look and sound better. 1.53 this morning already caused problems for my buddy. I need to check our mod list. That’s then only issue. Any update sometimes mods kill it.
these mods look incredible but the question is what is the fps and performance hit? even though I have a rtx 4090 will these mods decrease your pfs, graphics and performance

I love my ps5 for basic games but in all honesty you console only guys need to switch. It’s going to be a while before consoles are able to run some of these games at higher than 60-90fps.
BE CAREFUL people with the real traffic density mod since it will make your game crash as per the 1.53 update even though it doesn't say it's incompatible like some do.

I could never play with the brutal weather mod as I use grimes seasons mod and there is no way I can play the game without those graphic mods which I can switch and roleplay as I choose. Grimes graphics mods just add so much better authentic scenery to the game that other mods have to be sacrificed for it. Im surprised you didnt even mention those. Just launch the game in default and then add any one of grimes graphics mod and there is an instant major change in visuals. I also use the realistic economy mod and the only way I play the game and also use gdc logistics economy mod which is similar in difficulty but not quite sure which is better of the 2, as I do like the grind and work my way up. The one thing I dont like about the immersive icon mod is that the cones look the same at both ends and at some drop points you dont know which way the trailer needs to face to unhook it. I dont know why they dont just add a cone with a small flag or different colour cone on the back end of the drop point. Good mod but others are better.

The latest update to ATS and ETS2 now has an option to remove those blocked road markers.
Doesn't remove the invisible walls though...

After each update, you have to give the authors a few days to update the mod. All of these are popular mod so I’m sure they will update them.
