Me too. But in fairness to Taylor, I think I got so accustomed to the full and broad sound of the original that I can't really feel the scaled down and rather empty production of her cover. Her version sounds like Taylor. This song is burned in my brain as a rock ballad, not a minimalist pop-country love song. I wonder if Taylor will re-record her cover and maybe this time make it more rich and broad.

This is a very beautiful song.Like so many recently,I found this after listening to Taylors version.While they're both fantastic, I'm gonna have to go with Taylor's as my favourite.There's no question that this version has a stronger vocal,but I like how Taylor stripped it down a bit,and evoked a sense of sweetness and innocence that these lyrics greatly deserved.Also,when Taylor isn't reaching for a big note (a bit of an ongoing weakness) her voice is like velvet to the ears, in my opinion.

Both are diifferent versions for people with different tastes. Off topic, in this current age of music, I'd listen to Taylor over Ke&sha and Gaga any day of the week.. I came upon this song by listening to Taylor Swift's OUT OF TUNE rendition of what I know now is a great song..very haunting and dreamy. Having said that, I do love the slower more mellow arrangement Taylor had for her rendition of this track, I just wish they put her voice on auto-tune so I could appreciate it more.

@stefgi32 auto tune doesn't work like most people think I rather have her sound how she does instead of using a robotic twang that is auto tune. Pitch tools and echo tools are the things that actually help people sound better

Nothing beats the BTE version. I worked security for their concert in 2002, had a blast standing in front of the stage. These guys love their fans.
