I woke first but never pushed my findings onto my wife, in fact, for a while I was a PIMO. Things came to a head when I was going through a very difficult time, both mentally and physically, meaning I missed several meetings as a result. The way I was treated during this time is what woke my wife who to be honest, I never thought she would leave, she was that strong, however, she felt she could not, in all good Concience preach love to people, representing “Gods loving organization” when in reality, when the chips were down, showed no love at all. 🇬🇧

Didn't Jesus ,teach that it's not unwashed hands before eating that defiles a man but the wicked things that come out of his heart that defiles him? Along the same principles, didn't Jesus also condemn the Pharisees for presenting the outside of the ceremonial cup appearing clean before all yet the inside of it was spiritually contaminated and filled with every sort of vile and disgusting thing including lies, deceits, plunders ,murders, etc? Let's not fail to notice that just like the Pharisees, the GB self reveals their true identity as fleshly, narrow minded seekers of pleasures and power over men rather than spiritually minded with Heavenly thoughts and principles from above that proves benevolent to all mankind throughout the planet. So yeah, for many decades the GB forced upon the brothers worldwide to suffer the agony of regularly shaving and wear full suits even in sweltering climates in order to "present Jehovah in a dignified manner". Really? In reality, It not only greatly detracted from the "message" during "field service" but even caused many people to openly ridicule us as well as state they'll "never even consider joining a group forcing its members to buy and wear a monkey suit, especially in the heat." But the worst part? The GB convinced everyone that it was Jehovah's standard. The reality is it was only the GB that forced brothers worldwide to imitate the USA's professional corporate look to maintain brand recognition/uniformity worldwide but blamed Jehovah for it??!! You kidding me??! How absolutely revolting!!! I'll resist temptation and let Jesus rebuke those responsible for falsely instituting human traditions in the name of Jehovah!! Any sincere hearted person that prays for understanding before objectively reading the Bible in their natural language and within scriptural context will easily grasp the Holy messages. Nowhere in any Bible translation are Christians instructed to all dress and/or groom in the same exact fashion without deviation throughout the planet! As Jesus repeatedly clarified, it's not the outward appearance of a person that counts but demonstrating that one lives with both YHWH and Jesus in their life as well as love their fellow human beings as their self.
I'm finding just how unloving this organization can be. Their "love" is purely conditional. Nobody talks to me anymore simply for being too busy to make meetings, I'm being soft shunned. No contact to me whatsoever. Oh well, I don't consider them "friends" if they could literally care less about me.
Oh, I seen right through their love for one another from a young age. It's an act. All you need do is tell them that you don't want to go door to door. Or to the endless meetings. Or any one of a hundred things. Then check out their love. It's such a joke.

I love that you emailed them and they felt they HAD to respond with all those exclamation marks. Shaun and I are just talking about how extreme they are; when we decided to leave I got this Facebook message from someone I’d known for almost my entire life but didn’t talk to frequently, who just sent all caps yelling that I was disgusting for turning my back on Jehovah and how could I for a second look in the mirror and not hate myself. What a reasonable response. 😂
There is no “reasonable” with them. They are the most unreasonable people. It’s near impossible to reason with most all of them. Unless they are PIMO. 😉
They appear to be one of the nicest people in the world but once your baptized and if you’re not putting in the work elders ministerial etc don’t really want you around the ugly comes out and the shunning starts .awesome video ❤

We should really be thankful in a way . Because due to their judgemental and unchristian behaviour most people should have a lightbulb moment and think for themselves this isn't kind and caring. And wouldn't be the behaviour of a Christian.
“Men never do evil so completely and cheerfully as when they do it from religious conviction.” ― Blaise Pascal, Pensées I used this in a public talk once. Never realized that it applied to me!
They are like this because they are so scared! Bible says if you have faith the size of a mustard seed....but the org says your faith isnt strong enough to talk to apostates. Every single JW has weak faith. All of us who left know there is nothing that would make us go back, EVER! We can see both sides of the issue and choose this side. They arent allowed to see our side, because their side is weak, pretending to be righteous and strong. My 2 cents. (I was also an elder who broke free! 🥳)
@jeffm9656 that scripture is talking about the antichrist. Those teaching that Jesus did not come, die for our sins, and was not resurrected. Read the scriptures in context and objectively.
Winder said that they are not inspired and can err in organizational direction, but yet we should follow their direction without question even when it seems illogical from a human standpoint. How can they support both these teachings. They contradict each other.
@@HealerLightBringer Apostacy is Antichrist. Speaking against God's will and doing so while misleading others. The scripture is abundantly clear. " Read the scriptures in context and objectively."
@jeffm9656 Watchtower in a nutshell. None of the teachings from Watchtower can be found in scripture. Watchtower deny that Jesus is the Christ. "Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son." 1.Jn.2:22 Watchtower is the liar and is antichrist, denying Father and Son.
The one thing I’ve learnt in life. There are nice and horrible people in all walks of life. My mum has been a JW since I was 10 (I’m now 58). The thing that I’ve now realised is, she’s been a very judgmental person all her life and wont ever change.
My mother the same. I'm sure that she was attracted to this organisation because they encouraged her to beat us up. She got Gods permission from a bunch of uneducated misfits.
Good question. Good answer. Im an old lady now (experience). I reg aux pio for 8 yrs, picked up all the elderly sisters, mothered & mentored the kids, KH & Assembly Hall builds, in for 42 yrs. There is one more thing I would add to what you said. I think it has a lot to do with personality. It depends if a person is kind, caring & empathetic & has a lot of common sense. Or just how much selfishness, greed, love of power & narcissistic a person is. A decent person really cant tolerate that level of unreasonable, sometimes vicious, harshness. And it also builds up over time, seeing more & more people being injured irreparably. Its the good ones like you, Caleb, who are FORCED to leave.
Great video, strong and fair explanations. It is difficult to explain the dynamics to those not familiar with the JW life. Most just view it as you were nuts to be a JW to begin with and getting out was the obvious choice. I find it especially telling that Jehovah’s Witnesses rely heavily on the forbearance of others to be able to function freely. The very forbearance that they refuse to extend to their own.
Yay another video ❤I learn so much from your videos thank you, I was in for 30 years !! Glad you got out hope your life is full of lots of wonderful experiences, with your family….
I don't understand why people inside the org feel it's okay to be hateful and mean. Its NOT ok. I've said that to my brother that there really is NOT love in the cong. They do not follow the example of Jesus, who showed love to everyone. It was one of the biggest reasons I left. They are nice and loving situationally.
Bruce Lee I can't see your comment now but you asked if I'm being sarcastic and I can see how you would think that but no. I admit that this type of thinking has existed and even allowed to fester but it was never or seldom a watchtower teaching. Now it is officially banned. I could also add that sometimes channels like these are helping to make improvements but yet at the same time we should not be overtly rebellious... that would be extremely bad timing. We want the org to be there for us should we find ourselves in a disaster area. So it's quite simple really. Before you openly criticize, consider the effect on the unity of the group. Also the preaching work must be organized ...also there is nowhere else to go. Carry on as men, fight the fine fight for the faith
@@ucanliv4everBut there is in fact somewhere else to go. You can just GO. Leave the cult. Easy as that. You have been 🧠 washed into thinking you need some kind of organization to be fulfilled in life. That you can’t live without it. But that is a LIE. It’s how they control you and keep you inside. I’ve been out of that cult for almost 30 years. And it’s FREEING!! Life is good outside the cult. ❤

I woke up 2022. The reason why is because I was overkilled by two elders and a circuit overseer. They attacked me without scriptural reason and it’s just too personal that they want to pin me down. I got too stressed and traumatized for lifetime. The worst part is these 3 creatures who humiliated me are still roaming around to find victims. It really hurt me so bad. The branch didn’t take any action after all the disaster they made, not only me but 4 others was also traumatized. The two are now inactive.
@@Eric_01I am so sorry to hear that. My mother was a good JW, and she never shunned any family member that was disfellowshipped or left the religion. She even told me it was not Christian to shun people like that. I cannot imagine how heart breaking it must be for your mother to shun you. The brainwashing runs deep, many believe they are being loyal to Jehovah by shunning. If I were you, I would pray for her. People can and do change. As an example, I was a good JW person, but I did the shunning thing as we were told to do. When my sister was df at 16, I shunned her for over 40 years until I woke up from the cult a few years ago. I apologized to her and we reunited. I hope it doesn't take your mother that long to come around to the love of Christ.
What Caleb demonstrates is what i found as well. The higher up you go on the organization basically the more unhealthy you have to be and so those types will naturally tend to be the extreme personalities. It is one of the reasons i never wanted any title or position even if i was doing the responsibilities of one that is higher up the pecking order. I just liked the bible and I didn't see the behavior as you climb up as Christian or biblical. I have now come to understand that they are not Christian even though they will have you convinced otherwise. They truly are their own thing as JW hust as Mormons claim to be Christian but are not. It took me decades to understand this unfortunately. There are just a few types of JW: 1. The miserable who wants out whether they have come to admit that to themselves or not. (Probably 50%) New or long time rank and file types. 2. The bullies and power hungry and abusive (15-20%) usually the ones who work their way up to elder. The quicker they move up the worse it is. Many elders and CO wives also. 3.The abused (75%). Many who see the abuse and gaslighting of the organization as normal. 4.The semi-happy. Too dumb to question or too self-righteous; they want more kool-aid. Many rank and file. (~30%) There is a fifth type which is really a sub-type of 2. These are singles looking to use the framework of status and titles to get and control a marriage partner because theyre too goofy or beta to get and keep a partner in the outside world.
@KarenMoody-p3d it's possible I missed a type. just curious could they fit in the bully, abused, or dumb/ self-righteous category? I have a sister that's in too and she can literally be any of the four types depending on the day. Surprisingly the social is probably the only thing she doesn't have. They mostly watch every meeting on zoom and don't do service arrangements. Craze I know

A great philosopher once said : "Don't tell me about your religion, show me your religion" which can go a long way to summing up JWs. That (Leaders) say one thing but do another. One example is Political Neutrality: rank & file touch nothing with any semblance of politics. Leaders : cosy up to The UN and even though they say in their study articles that they "do not Lobby", in political circles they are well known for it. Every year they send delegates to The OSCE, a political forum and off shoot of The UN. And where love and kindness is concerned they simply do not follow Jesus parable of "The Good Samaritan". They like to be known as a charity but ask
12:47 That sums it up perfectly. Over the years, JWs have been primed to just accept any and all instructions and blindly obey the Governing Body. The amazing thing is this: JWs just accept that the Governing Body is God's one channel of communication. They don't even question it. It's just accepted as a 'given' (even though no JW can explain why this small group of men has supposedly been chosen by God - and given so much authority over millions of people).
When I pointed this out to my jw mother, and told her she is following men, she litteraly said to me “ the gb are the first ones to tell us we are not following men”! I just gave up on the convo…
This is a really great explanation! I’ve been asked this and have had trouble articulating the answer. I was an elders wife and regular pioneer (only 3 years total, 2 consecutive, 1 years ago) I’ve been out a little over a year
Winder said that they are not inspired and can err in organizational direction, but yet we should follow their direction without question even when it seems illogical from a human standpoint. How can they support both these teachings. They contradict each other
Many people are too afraid to question their beliefs or to look into why other chose to do so. They can't handle cognitive dissonance... very sad. It's a symptom of a cult. No other groups can one come and go from without drama. I left the Brighamite lds church about 2 years ago and have been surprised at the reaction I've experienced. It's nowhere near as extreme, but shunning isn't taught in that cult... but it still happens, sadly. Haven't heard from my dad since, and I'm the oldest of 6 daughters, and was born on his birthday. I always thought we had a pretty cool bond... apparently, love is conditional... I never knew that. He's on his own journey, though, and I hope he figures it out before one of us passes on to the other side.
I left due to the lack of love. It's a false love they show, they never help a person in public whom needs help, never within, never give financially etc, it very fake to me & once you state things like this or question something, then your looked at you as a black sheep & they avoid speaking to you, they smile fakly but underneath they hate you.....Jesus said you know whom are my deciples by there love....
I was brainwashed as a child to believe that apostates were evil, wicked, violent, scary demonic but the reality is they are none of these things. They’re kind, loving, thoughtful, funny, genuine, real, so go figure. I look forward to apostate content because they don’t sugarcoat reality nor allow themselves to be controlled or manipulated by fear.
Until 6 months ago I was a JW elder of 20 years. I wouldnt call it brainwashing, but its definitely mental conditioning to see things from the organisation point of view. So really its love that is conditional, as there is a higher loyally
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. Mark 12 is a really good example of what God thinks about religious leaders. Jesus replied to them in Mark 12:24 “Your problem is that you don’t know the scriptures…” 🕊️
So many witnesses have no problem physically beating Jehovah into thier own children. Or abandoning them if they leave. They have no issue in violence to non witnesses if told too.
They are not a charity ! What charity work do they do ? Lady year (According to their own figures) they spent $6million dollars on relief work which sounds good until you see that they spent $600million on building work! Think of their shunning policy and then think of the parable of the prodigal son ? The two do not fit together ! They are definitely not what they seem nor what they portray. And I find it offensive for them (Leaders) to openly joke about and mock past wrong ideas and Interpretations. I don't think they would take kindly to being mocked or ridiculed for their present ideas and teachings which could well change in years to come.
What you explain here is similar to the explanation of the behavior of the average German person or family during WW2. These were "good" people who had been conditioned to simply obey authority and to treat anyone who was outside of their social group as less human, less valuable.
And by the second article on blood they are probably either already baptized or ready to be… can’t back out now! Can you provide what month WT it is saying to obey even the bizarre plz?

Literally on the brink of death. We didn't hesitate to give him blood. This saved my son's life. Knowing how my family and friends would feel about this I spared there hearts and made sure my son had the support he needed. If I would have told them my son would have been all alone. And if I would have expected there half cooked beliefs. My son would have died. Please please contact me. We are currently undergoing a terrible time and just need someone to talk too that can understand.

Many elders are company men. The Witnesses are not your friend. Yes they seem very nice but in that environment to be a true JW you have to be a judgmental narc. There is not a true loving feeling.

The organisation Feels ' ALL JWs MUST Live in ' JW Spiritual Bubble ' in order for them to survive ! So as to keep the 👿 Devil and his crafty acts and his son's and daughter s of disobedience AWAY from ALL LOYAL members of this organisation ! They are on guard against you all. Even ones in the organisation are judged by God's righteous standards as laid down in the Bible . So people are continually judged both in and out of the organisation on continual ongoing basis !
Interesting if you believe the Bible, then you see that even some of God’s very faithful servants questioned Him, repeatedly. Yet congregation members are not allowed to question anything the GB says or they will be labeled apostates.
Don't you think the pandemic was an interesting test? My jw sister got the jab because the organisation recommended it and only those who had it were allowed at meetings. My jw brother on the other hand said No Way and he zoomed the meetings from home. When I asked him why does he think the society is pushing it? He said he doesn't know why, but they've been wrong before.. He is still devout and eventually unvaxed were welcome back
Surprisingly, they seemed to have just followed whatever the CDC was recommending. I was shocked when they started having zoom meetings instead of insisting on using the KH.
@Eric_01 not too surprising. The Watchtower Bible Society has shares in Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson. (on IRS website) If they could encourage 8 million to take multiple jabs they profit.

Plandemic woke me up after 40 years in. Instead of losing my faith, I disassociated and went straight to Christ. Why? Because I finally understood Joh.14:6 in its simple truth.
It shined a light on WT and exposed them even further. That’s why so many woke up during 2020. And thankfully it wasn’t just JW’s. That whole crazy situation woke up a lot of people to what’s going on in the entire world. And it’s very nefarious to say the least. I thought my JW dad would have woken up for sure during that time. Because he questions things and knows how damaging V’s are. But nope. He stayed in. Mind boggling.
They don't wanna be w Jesus. I'm studying w then and we're at lesson 15 the Jesus part. We agree to disagree on Jesus is Lord and Savior well.see how that goes
Of course the JW are pleasant people, and as good as in heaven according to Christ. Mt. 12:31-32, note, denial of the power of forgiveness, is blasphemy. Mk. 3:28 Lk. 12:10? Every knee shall bow too, no need for concern over JW. Sunday Christianity is eligible too, bless their mortal hearts.
Because you honestly believe that the love that they preach is real and you want to try to reach them. And to have people throwing away relationships with people they claim to love without ever hearing their side of the story is ludicrous. What are they afraid of? Truth should be able to stand up to any type of scrutiny or challenges. If they believe they have “the truth” then they should be able to be fair and listen to another persons point of view or version of events without any problem.

I never experienced being shunned for simply not being top tier.
@ I saw it happen to those that weren’t reaching out they weren’t included at gatherings some elders wouldn’t even say hi to them they would give beautiful talks about how much they loved all of us and as soon as they got off the platform they would ignore you unless you were kissing 🫏I was a regular pioneer if that makes any difference and I just saw a lot of ugly not only too us but also too others especially if you weren’t reaching out
@ it’s a what they refer to as a soft shunning 😊
We should really be thankful in a way . Because due to their judgemental and unchristian behaviour most people should have a lightbulb moment and think for themselves this isn't kind and caring.
And wouldn't be the behaviour of a Christian.
@@thetruthk5138 yes that’s one of the things that started my waking up 😅happy to be out I pray everyday for all those still in 🙏

I used this in a public talk once.
2Jo 9-11 Bible is very clear regarding apostasy.

Watchtower in a nutshell.
None of the teachings from Watchtower can be found in scripture.
Watchtower deny that Jesus is the Christ.
"Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son."
1.Jn.2:22
Watchtower is the liar and is antichrist, denying Father and Son.
The one thing I’ve learnt in life. There are nice and horrible people in all walks of life. My mum has been a JW since I was 10 (I’m now 58). The thing that I’ve now realised is, she’s been a very judgmental person all her life and wont ever change.
There is no need for her to change, she has the "truth."

@@mattmurdock2868 are you being sarcastic or are you serious

My mother the same. I'm sure that she was attracted to this organisation because they encouraged her to beat us up. She got Gods permission from a bunch of uneducated misfits.
Spot on analysis of how JW is structured
I also believe Watchtower creates narcissists. They program them to be like that. It’s freaky when you think about it. The programming is REAL.
@ItsAllAShow
I agree!
We are not mean...it's in the watchtower from a few weeks back
@@ucanliv4everlol sarcasm... I hope...?
@@ucanliv4ever thanks very much for your reply Ucan. What was the behavior that was banned in the recent WT?
Il Ike your videos Caleb. You are very concise and to the point. I've never thought of the Elders from the angle you took, that the good ones get taken out of the way, or remove themselves
The "I didn't give you permission to email me" had me rolling! Glad you're free and that you saw these things and thought about them even as an elder. Hope your quest outside is great for you. Welcome to the sinners club 😉
When I was a JW, we used to say "There are good people in all religions". That is true even for them.
My mother is a good person. She also hasn't spoke to me in 10 years. What would do with that?
That's shocking that's the part JWs do not tell the general public conveniently@@Eric_01
You present things in a logical way, guess the Organization is missing out. Thanks, I enjoy your videos.
Really love how you broke down the levels of information around the blood policy based on the persons "rank"!
They are the most judgemental people you can ever meet. I know from experience.
Yes definitely they are just very good Gossipers!!
They destroy families
You are so blessed to have your wife when you're going through this❤God Bless you!
And yes, if they're told to drink the cool aid they'll do it😪
What Caleb demonstrates is what i found as well.
There are just a few types of JW:
There is a fifth type which is really a sub-type of 2. These are singles looking to use the framework of status and titles to get and control a marriage partner because theyre too goofy or beta to get and keep a partner in the outside world.
Also the type that have been in for so long it's their social life that keeps them there like my sisters imo
Craze I know
@@BruceLeeR1-2103 My sister's to now cause of their age ,one sister goes to the birthday parties for the kids including hers go figure even puts up Christmas tree for non JW husband. They have never shunned me though just don't talk about religion or god
@@KarenMoody-p3d oh yes I have heard of these types though in my experience they were far and few between or maybe they smartly developed the skill to fly under the radar so went mostly unnoticed.

Extremist abusive cult. Period. It took me 15 seconds. But to them it does not matter. They are gods people following gods words received through their cult leaders
That's a really good point you make about the ones left after those with a conscience leave!
Ignorance is cruel and dangerous
You are going through the same feelings I went through I blamed God for everything, but then I encountered Him and he Cured my depression and anxiety. A miracle, one day you will experience the same thing I did
At 12 years I always felt they were not 😢 that nice. THought they were fake friends
Yep, me too. It all seemed so fake to me. I had it rammed down my throat since birth.

Winder said that they are not inspired and can err in organizational direction, but yet we should follow their direction without question even when it seems illogical from a human standpoint. How can they support both these teachings. They contradict each other
All they do is contradict each other. So does the Bible as well. 😝
Thank you.
I think constant mental conditioning is brainwashing
Generally nice and trustworthy.
Don't be fooled.
@jimbobaggans1564 I think you are a fooled
@@gold1850ssurprising that you have “many JW friends” as they are not encouraged to associate with those who are not of the same faith 🤔
Right! It’s not real love. It’s fake. And it’s conditional “love”.
And any JW that questions ANY of it is tossed out. Like trash. It’s sad.
What you explain here is similar to the explanation of the behavior of the average German person or family during WW2. These were "good" people who had been conditioned to simply obey authority and to treat anyone who was outside of their social group as less human, less valuable.
Nice people willing to cause harm to other nice people because other nice people tell them their nice god wants them to do because its nice
