Definitely this helped me more than all other tips combined. I found out that shifting even earlier than Tidgney does, like shifting just before the rpm indicator comes up on screen, helped A LOT. Also you can cut the first 3 hairpin much more than you should, and that helped in the first sector (I'm on pad)
The best time I can get is 1:04:6 . It seems no matter what I lose time in different parts of the track trying to stay consistent. I’ve watched this video idk how many times but there just something I’m doing wrong at different sectors. This car on this track with these specs really make you earn it
@@Targon999 cheers tbh I was decent quick on forza 4/5/6 with pad, could get top 50 times on most tracks and even had a few #1's on short ones but GT7 is BRUTAL in comparison, I'm really struggling to compete with the top times and somehow doubt I ever will with the pad only had a PS5 and GT7 since 22nd of last month so will persevere and see where I get

I spent 6 hours and got to gold 0.2 secs faster than the limit... phew...the new update is great as far as I have experienced so far, but I have to struggle even more to get gold. Still, one of my best positions so far. Chasing your ghost was fun 🤘

I actually resorted to using handbrake on the first two hairpins for rotation, highly ridiculous and slow but felt easier to consistently rotate the car 😅
This one is justimpossible with an auto gearbox, I'm usually hitting gold within 10 laps on a pad (most occasions), but this one is tough!!!! 1:05.6 is my best... I can see it being harder with automatic that's for sure. I'm not sure I'll get chance to give it a try before it finishes though unfortunately. I use both Joysticks if that helps.
I can't get under 1:04, I feel like I'm cutting the edge of the car on each turn, if I try to get on the throttle a bit earlier the whole car goes mad. Any idea what I could be doing wrong?
Big thing can be straightening up the car as you accelerate out as the acceleration will still rotate the car a little. So you could try straightening up a bit sooner than you think.
If you watch tidges video, he steps on the throttle rather late, when I startet chasing his ghost, he was always slower entering the corner but always got me exiting it. So that might help in future challenges, he also mostly lets the car coast for a little bit after breaking. But no matter what I do, I guess i'll never be as fast, I always think that I do what he does, but apparently that's not the case 😂
I'm in the top 1000 of these time trials every week, usually within 2.3% of the world record time, all assists off (occasionally traction 1). Never used a wheel, the new physics are far easier and more intuitive on a pad. The problem is, the times will be faster in general, and the racing line/braking points are far more rigid
@@danburdekin id say by about 30%, you’d have much more air time but understandable if you want this track as a daily race to have it just a bump and not a jump

The best manual setup for a Dualsense is:
L2 brake
R2 Accelerate
🟪 Shift down
✖️ Shift up
🔴 Handbrake

With pad for me is almost imposible to get gold i cant get under 1:05 and i have done over 1000km and its the first day…

How to rotate the car .. it doesn't rotate when I hit the brakes !?!?!?
Accelerate hard, or trail brake into the corner and release the brakes, car should rotate like the video.

The full lap is shown, so what I do on the last corner is exactly what I do to start a lap as well. Where it is very impactful I'll show it 😊
