I think you hit on a great point, after investing lots of time studying a company it is very hard to pass on buying - I think it’s adjacent to the sunk cost fallacy. It also seems likely that companies that may require a substantial amount of study may have a model that is too complex and may be a pass just because it’s not understandable, but our pride may get in the way because we may not want to admit that we just don’t understand the business despite many hours of study.
