    Wow.... never would have thought of using delay for this. Thank you!

    You can also make the loop choppier by playing a pattern underneath it. The BPM of the pattern will affect the length of the delay and will affect the loop: make sure to take the delay off of any pads the pattern uses before turning it on though! And leave the delay on at least one unused pad so the loop isn't cut off. I liked to keep a blank pad for this purpose. Last tip: if you have a delay loop and pattern going at the same time, changing the BPM will create interesting chops to be looped into the delay. Try it out and you'll see what I mean.

      Also, I don't remember where the tempo comes from with the delay loops. Is it the first pad you hit? Does the 404 average all the pads to one BPM? In any case, editing the tempos of pads with delay active on them could tinker with the loop while it's running too.

      The problem with using a delay loop and pattern simultaneously is you can't resample the pattern to a pad, so you'll have to record the results in a different way.

      I believe you can change it a bit from the tap tempo , not sure good question. What you are saying above sounds awesome too I’m just trying to follow. You do the loop delay on one pad then record that and add on top?

    • @TheTylrBllmn
      @TheTylrBllmn 3 года назад +1

      @@enokssounds So you use the pattern sequencer to play something. I would set it to a BPM and a simple beat with a pad of silence. You can also play normal drum sequences, or anything else you can imagine. Then, you make sure the delay is active on the pads you want to make a delay loop with, like in the above video. Once you get that delay loop going, you can adjust the pattern sequencer BPM and it will start to distort and chop up the delay loop. You can also just tap tempo on the BPM in the pattern sequencer and it'll make the delay loop jump to the next tempo! I should make a video about this stuff...

      @@enokssounds You might also be able to mess with the delay loop's BPM by editing the BPM of any pads you put in the loop while it's still playing, but I can't remember for sure if this works. I wish I still had one of these things 😭

    Awesome vid, ive been using this technique a lot. But i am wondering: If i have dry/wet 50/50 and a loop running, then play maybe drums over it, the drums recorded in the loop are off. So i play them in time over the delay loop and hear they are where they should be but from the first repetition in the loop they are a tiny bit delayed. I guessed it is just like that, but in the video the timing doesnt seem to change. I wonder if it is just my unit maybe? Any similar experiences?

    Is it possible to increase or decrease the delay speed?

    • @enokssounds
      @enokssounds  3 года назад

      Yes, 1st and 2nd loop are 2 different speeds based off 1/2 , 1/4 , 1/8 note, etc

    • @magadan4626
      @magadan4626 3 года назад

      @@enokssounds Yes, but probably the number 1/2 means half of the total tempo ... The question is - whose tempo, sample or pattern?
      And can I influence this tempo, thereby changing the delay speed?

    • @enokssounds
      @enokssounds  3 года назад

      @@magadan4626 no... you can not , the tempo is based off the longest sample affected. Those values are note based units which control the ( delay time ).
