It looks like the days go on, but there isn't any actual pressure to 'complete' the game in a specific amount of days. After all, you're not trying to escape or something, you're stuck in Space Prison. It's just thematic of how many days you survive in the euclidean cube. But I don't know for sure either. I'm guessing there is a time pressure to complete quests/gain favor at specific times or within an allotment of time but that's hardly something to be concerned about, just don't run around accepting all the side quests you get.
"...troll around the map...looking for fungus on the wall..." Walks past fungus on the wall. Keep this up Splatt and you are going to pass Jingles for inattentiveness.
What a cool concept. To have a player be a life sentence prisoner with what ever background lore they want but basically make the prison the hub/home base and let a warden send them out on suicide missions to do odd jobs. I have to become a writer cause that sounds amazing no matter Sci-fi or high fantasy.
I’ve never been more sold on a game than you explaining running a scam on the chef that you’re a food critic. If it’s got that kind of humor and depth, I’m pretty confident this is my jam.
It's directly tied to your Leadership skill. You raise that by raising your relationship with your gang and keeping your hunger and hope up. Currently I have 12 and can put out two kill bots and a healer drone. Damn near invincible
bruh i was looking at discounted games on gog and every single one i was interested in you have vid on...i think this is like 8th or 9th in a row...you realy earned that sub :x
Well Dame Splatty, I was just about to throw a space brick though the window with a note attached about this game. BTW you can very easily get up to 3 Smuggling Pockets, their is a door you can open in the Cellblock with a Rusty Crowbar and that guy will give you stuff in exchange for food.
Oh oh I remember when you played this game before! IT was a fun video! I could also hear way way better than I can now. I miss those low-mid dB's...anyways I should probably buy this game soon and mess around in it hm?
This game reminds me a lot of Griftlands. Probably the grungy world setting. Griftlands would not be a bad game to look towards for combat variety in this game too. A few playthroughs of that game opened up _a lot_ of variety in combat and social options.
Instead of escaping the prison you should work towards taking over the prison. And then if you do achieve it you should have forces working towards trying to take back control.
Looks a lot like Darkest Dungeon crossed with the grid battle combat of Megaman Battle Network. Sadly, not my cup of tea, but loving the punk rock attitude of indie games all the same.
Just tried the game and it is very nice. Bad thing i got bug on that first quest you do, can't throw potion to the garbage chute hatch :( , before i got that quest i did open up the hatch with chomper heart, it seem that i was "faster" than game wanted or smth like that. (edit: the bug resolved itself after a few exits :D )
Looked interesting until I saw the price and lack of interest on steam. There is a demo though, and that's cool since I get tired to doing "refund demos"
anyone who bought it can tell me how much content is there in the game? the demo only lasts until you join a gang so pretty much impossible to tell if there is much to do afterwards
Using playplaces as some example of the family decay is dumb af lmao. Corps just didn't want to pay to keep them maintained and clean. It just wasn't worth it.
First look - oh nice, an RPG with good graphics and lots of freedom, this is promising. A minute later, it turns out to be yet another one of those tedious, party-based, turn-based combat systems. The kind that ruined the genre back in early '90s. Why devs feel the need to include such time-wasters into each RPG these days is a mystery.
We're happy you had a 'pleasant' sentence in our prison 👽 Thanks for playing!
- Space Prison devs
Kinda nice to see some games like this without time pressure
any roguelikes/roguelites with a timer is always a never play for me
@@macdallanzero2145 That's pretty light time pressure my guy. A far cry from something like Dead Rising for example.

That's actual what has me interested
I don't like to be pressured for time either but I would like to have an ending if I ever decide to pursue that goal.
"If you need to restore hope, you go to the bathroom"
Oh good, not just me then
I got out numbered by space rats and they transferred my body into a robot that then got jumped by a rival gang.
10/10
Love it!
At least u didn't drop the soap
happens to all of us, buddy.
Imagine being jailed for life, you die, and they ressurect you to finish your sentence, damn....
25:15 - Asking what the potion did, when he was already told he'd only see effects after sleeping. Typical Splat.
Right I thought he was going to drink it before sleeping at first but he just spaced drinking it
Dangit Splat, I wanted to see what the potion did 😂
I'm glad I'm not the only one.
Lmao bro forgot about his potion like 2 times
"...troll around the map...looking for fungus on the wall..." Walks past fungus on the wall. Keep this up Splatt and you are going to pass Jingles for inattentiveness.
"Stardew Valley in prison."
Perfect.

it's a Space Gothic basically

This game has improved a lot since the last time I saw it
Pinkest Dungeon... You hear a distant *yiff* sound echoing through the forsaken realm. 😏
One of the few games I really loved after watching your video. Loved the demo and I was so waiting for this.
Assuming this is the same space prison game shown several months ago, I'm really glad to see more of it as I thought it showed a ton of promise.
Deep Sky Derelicts is kinda’ like this. At least that’s what I’d liken it to.
Saw you play this for 2 mins and bought it immediately, so many unsung wonderful games get showcased here.
18:01 Splattercat assuring his fans that he's got *FAT STACKS* in real life. 😎
I wanna play this game so bad. I played the demo after watching you play it and fell in love with the game.
Units have a number under them. I assume you cant put dereck in because him and the poison rat both cost 6. You have 5 leadership.
It's directly tied to your Leadership skill. You raise that by raising your relationship with your gang and keeping your hunger and hope up. Currently I have 12 and can put out two kill bots and a healer drone. Damn near invincible
Dude this looks wicked cool. This is what I'm talking about. I am on board, Picking this one up now.
aint no way they did that XD 9:18
You KNOW the dev made that hidden inv slot a prison pocket
Art style dope. We definitely need more games about just being in prison.
This game seems really cool and different. I am interested for sure, thanks for showing it
I wouldnt call it an open world but it looks neat tough.
I'm surprised how no one mentioned this so far but, the game art and style looks like the old flash game Sonny
bruh i was looking at discounted games on gog and every single one i was interested in you have vid on...i think this is like 8th or 9th in a row...you realy earned that sub :x
Dude, love the rat mechanics! I wish more games had a sense of humor like this game.
This reminds me of all the times I have been in prison and having to do different tasks for everyone.
First Wanderbots and now Splattercat
Maybe just a dialogue box that says "teleporting" when you step on it and one pops up under it saying "cancelled" when you step off.
Pet Skaven? Let's go.
The combat seems like a mix between Darkest dungeon and Gordian Quest ^^.
Just remember in Space Prison don't pick up the Space Soap
Or you'll have your Space violated.
You had me at brass knuckles for a rat.
This looks like a flash game you'd find on newgrounds circa 1998. That's not an insult, but a compliment. Those games were gud
This is not the Splattercat Intro I was expecting! I demand recompense! :D
I am supirsed about there been no time pressure that really good to see
Hell yeah. This game looks like it could be fantastic fun, and I love the parody elements.
Man you really do have ADD don't you? lol, drink the potion and go to bed!! I wanted to see what happened!
Thanks, Splatt.
Oh oh I remember when you played this game before! IT was a fun video! I could also hear way way better than I can now. I miss those low-mid dB's...anyways I should probably buy this game soon and mess around in it hm?

We all know where that one extra slot is located...
Instead of escaping the prison you should work towards taking over the prison.
And then if you do achieve it you should have forces working towards trying to take back control.
The game kinda reminds me of Griftlands.
Both the artstyle and the setting themes.
Obviously very different gameplay wise.
Damn, now I want a Pinkest Dungeon game...
Isn't prison world the opposite of open
Just what I thought :p typical all access, open prison life!
Seems like a good game
damn you forgot the potion like 3 times lol you need to get that medula checked
He oblongotsta get it checked out
34:25 that would be annoying, since walking into it by accident would tp you every time!
Thanks for showcasing. ^^
If you have the full game, how about playing it on twitch. This looks interesting.
But is there a shower where you can drop the soap?
Looks a lot like Darkest Dungeon crossed with the grid battle combat of Megaman Battle Network. Sadly, not my cup of tea, but loving the punk rock attitude of indie games all the same.
Reminds me of an old iOS game called Prison Life RPG…
Looks nice
sometimes i wonder if splattercat has early onset alzheimers
looks cool
game looks great! but kinda needs more interactions with the background stuff or perhaps lore
i name my toxic rat splat XD
I like how the "secret pockets" are literally colored brown 😂
as opposed to figuratively colored brown?
i'd buy this game now if they took the combat out. the battles do not look at all compelling.
played the demo. It is on my radar
Can you craft wine in your space toilet water supply?
no, you cannot.
you craft space wine.
excellent!
Just tried the game and it is very nice. when do you stream?!
Always I hear come and hang out live but I never find you there!
Can you let us know a rough
schedule?
🖤
WAIT WAIT WAIT! You can't just not say your welcoming phrase 😢😢
Looked interesting until I saw the price and lack of interest on steam. There is a demo though, and that's cool since I get tired to doing "refund demos"
if you need to restore your hope you go to the bathroom?
Is this a flash game ?!
not sure if their is no ending that would make the game intresting but hard to end?
anyone who bought it can tell me how much content is there in the game? the demo only lasts until you join a gang so pretty much impossible to tell if there is much to do afterwards
Using playplaces as some example of the family decay is dumb af lmao. Corps just didn't want to pay to keep them maintained and clean. It just wasn't worth it.
@Splattercatgaming Thank you, once again, for helping me lighten my Steam wallet.
I don't think Splat knows what "open world" means
Yet he's right
You could compare it to a flash game.. from Newgrounds.
I checked out the achievements. There is one for escaping the Spacest Dungeon. Less than 2% of the player base has nabbed it. I'll give it a go.
I like the concept, but no story is a deal breaker for me
Really cool art style, I love the walking around part of the game but man...the combat looks pretty boring honestly.
the rpg style turned base fighting ruined this game for me...not a big fan...
First look - oh nice, an RPG with good graphics and lots of freedom, this is promising.

Cool looking game would love to see more gameplay from you 🫡
