    You're the best at breaking it down! Traders blow up their accounts daily chasing home runs instead of base hits. I am beginning to teach myself to be happy with 10% daily gains. OMG nothing hurts more than seeing your 10% gain turn to 20% loss because you left it on the table, waiting for 500%. So many RUclipsrs displaying how to make $1M a day flashing their wealth and getting new traders to fomo in. Thanks for dedicating this channel to helping new traders get it together. God bless you!

      Hey, thanks a ton for the kind words! You're absolutely right. The chase for those massive wins can definitely be a risky game, and it's all too easy to get caught up in the hype. Learning to be content with steady gains is such a smart move. You're not alone in feeling the sting of missed opportunities, but it sounds like you're developing a solid approach. And yep, there's a lot of noise out there with people showing off big bucks and making trading seem like a quick path to wealth. It's crucial to stay grounded. Really appreciate you recognizing the effort to keep this channel more about real strategy and less about the flash. Thanks for being part of the BGS family, and God bless you too!

    When getting into the trade are you getting in at market price or are you buying the contracts?
    So if price is at 12.00 and goes to 13.0 that means you only won 1$?

    • @BlackGirlStocks
      @BlackGirlStocks  Месяц назад +1

      Hey, I see where you might be a bit mixed up with the market price and buying to enter contracts bit. Basically, when I jump into trades, I do buy to open (BTO) contracts as part of my strategy. If you're asking whether I choose market price or set a limit order, it honestly depends. If the stock's super liquid and the buy/sell gap is small, I might go with a market order just to move quickly, especially if I'm day trading. But most of the time, I stick with limit orders to better control my entry point.
      Now, about the second part, you're right saying if a stock moves from $12 to $13, it's gained a dollar. But with options, it's not quite as straightforward, because the increase in our option contract's value depends on a bunch of factors, like the Delta in the option Greeks. The Delta gives us a heads-up on how much the value of our options might change with a one-dollar change in the stock. So, it's a bit more involved than simply the stock price bumping up a buck.

      So about your strategy - what's been your approach? I'm asking because sometimes stepping back and reassessing things could actually make a big difference. It's all about finding what works and tweaking what doesn’t, right?
      I completely understand trading frustrations can get real, but let's keep the vibe here focused on finding solutions and staying positive. It's all about learning and growing. What's your plan moving forward?

      Heyyy! Welcome to the channel, and MAJOR props to you for jumping into this trading journey with such a positive vibe, especially after a tough first play. 🙌 It’s true, losing a bit at the start can sting for sure, but seeing it as the beginning of something amazing shows you’ve got the perfect outlook. Remember, diving in with that mindset is already half the battle won! Learning from those early bumps is absolutely key, and it sounds like you're ready to take those lessons in stride.
      Having a solid strategy and really dialing in your risk management are the cornerstones that will not just carry you far but will also transform early setbacks into valuable lessons rather than mere losses. Keep that energy up and stay focused on your strategy and risk management, and you'll find yourself making more informed and confident decisions.
      I’m excited to have you here and am all about sharing that energy and lessons to help us all grow. Here's to laying down a strong foundation and building something great from it. Let’s keep pushing forward and making those smart moves! 💪📈🚀💼 You got this!

      Didn’t expect you to reply so soon dang it I was right on my play but pulled out early at a loss because I thought it wasn’t going back up I had Amazon going to 180 I bought in at 178.5 after I seen it drop before market opening then it continued dropping after I got it waited a hour got scared after down 69% now it’s at 179.20 last time I checked😭 but yea already learned so much I’m 3 videos i see u don’t post that often usually no worries hope all is well god bless🙌🏽🙏🏾

    • @BlackGirlStocks
      @BlackGirlStocks  3 месяца назад

      @@randomyoutuber5172 It sounds like you had quite the roller coaster with that Amazon play. It's super easy to second-guess yourself when you see those numbers start to drop. Seriously, been there more times than I'd like to admit. 🙃 But hey, scooping up those lessons early on is priceless.
      About not catching the uptrend, I totally get the frustration. One thing I’ve found incredibly helpful is tweaking how I look at my charts. I swear by the triple screen trading method. It’s a game-changer because it combines trend-following indicators and oscillators across three different time frames. This way, you're not relying on a single indicator, which can certainly miss the mark sometimes. It guides you to make better decisions on when to jump in or out by looking at the bigger picture and the finer details in tandem.
      I dive into it a lot more in this video: ruclips.net/video/6jX1pTuI4ns/видео.html. It might just give you that edge you're looking for in your next plays. Definitely worth a look if you’re aiming to level up how you interpret those charts and nail those timing decisions. 📈
      Keep rocking those trades, and don’t let the missteps dampen your spirits. Each play is a step closer to mastering the game. Hope all is well on your end too, and God bless! 🙌

    hi. when you were discussing the 4 chart time frames was that for the red to green strategy?

    • @BlackGirlStocks
      @BlackGirlStocks  3 месяца назад +1

      When we were chatting about chart timeframes earlier, I touched on those that day traders favor. Some of the most popular ones include the super quick 1-minute and 5-minute charts for those who like to leap in and out of trades fast. Then, there's the 15-minute and 1-hour charts which are awesome for getting more of the day’s action without the breakneck speed. These timeframes give day traders a good window to gauge market movements and make snappy decisions.
      Now, diving deeper into the Red-to-Green Day trading strategy, it's like having a secret launch code for the day. Think of the previous day’s closing price as your magic threshold. As the new trading day begins, you’re watching closely. If prices start below yesterday's close and then break out, that’s your cue.
      And that’s your moment to consider hopping in, hoping the momentum carries the stock even higher. It's all about catching that momentum shift from negative to positive - a literal move from 'red' to 'green.' This strategy taps into the excitement of a new day, banking on the theory that a strong early move can set the tone for the entire session.

    With the three day trading rule for accounts under 25k. How would one be able to trade everyday?

    • @BlackGirlStocks
      @BlackGirlStocks  3 месяца назад +5

      So, with that three-day trading rule for accounts under $25K, you've basically got a couple of routes. You could stick to doing three day trades each week and mix that up with swing trading to keep it simple. Or, if you're aiming to trade more frequently, switching to a cash account could be your move. That rule you mentioned doesn't apply to cash accounts, just to margin accounts under $25K.
      I actually day trade using a cash account myself. The only catch is you have to deal with the settlement period, or T+1 for options trades, which is just something to keep in mind. - Platforms like Webull actually give you the flexibility to hold two types of accounts at the same time. So, you could have both a cash account for frequent day trades without worrying about the pattern day trader rule, and a margin account to take advantage of other trading strategies. It's a handy option to have up your sleeve!
      I hope that clears things up a bit for you!

      @@tdavis8158 No, there's really no big difference in the layout or functionality for options trading whether you're using a cash or margin account. The main thing, like I mentioned, is the settlement period. It's about a day. So, you'll just be able to trade with the funds you already have in your account. If you make a buy and sell in the same day, the money you used for that trade will be set aside for the day. Keeps things simple, just remember to manage what you've got in there to play with.

    • @user-l2w7b

      My main account is with SCHWAB.
      But I got a small account with Robinhood with only 4k in it. I trade only options there. I can buy and sell limitless options same day. Once I use up all my 4k, that's it for the day. No more funds to trade with. So I call it a day. Next day, market opens, I get my 4k back with my additional 10% gains from yesterday and I day trade with it....just rinse and repeat. I can do same thing with $100 account. Option proceeds settle overnight. And there is no limit to how many trades you take a ay in "Cash Account". When in doubt contact their customer support/chat line. They are very helpful in providing guidance also.

    • @BlackGirlStocks
      @BlackGirlStocks  3 месяца назад +1

      Yeah, you've got it right about the pattern day trader rule being a thing with margin accounts under $25k. But flipping over to a cash account does get around that, giving you more freedom to day trade without hitting that cap. The catch is you'll have to wait on each trade to settle, which is like a day for most stuff but can be up to three days for stocks. Just something to keep in mind.

    Everyone tells me to use the 13ema 48ema cross does it work?

    • @BlackGirlStocks
      @BlackGirlStocks  3 месяца назад

      When talking day trading and looking at the 13 and 48 EMA cross, what you're aiming for is catching those bigger, more predictable moves that happen within the day. It's like you're waiting for the right pitch to hit a home run. You might not swing as often, but when you do, it's because you believe there's a good chance for a solid hit. The tricky part is these EMAs tend to be a bit slow to signal. So, by the time you're stepping up to swing, the best part of the opportunity might have already passed by. It's a more patient game, aiming for quality over quantity.
      Shifting to the quicker 3 and 8 EMA setup (that we mentioned in the video), it's all about speed and staying super tuned in. You'll see more opportunities to make trades throughout the day, which is perfect if you're all about making quick, calculated decisions. It’s great for those who thrive on the buzz and can manage the pace. However, it comes with its own set of challenges, like dodging false signals. Since everything happens so fast, it's easy to jump in on what you think is a significant move, only to find out it was just minor market noise. It requires a good deal of focus and quick thinking to sift through what matters and what doesn't.
      So, in the realm of day trading, choosing between these two EMA strategies really boils down to your personal trading style. Are you more of a ‘wait for the right moment’ kind of trader or do you prefer being in the midst of all the action, ready to make quick moves? Testing both strategies in a simulated day trading environment could give you a clearer sense of what suits you best. Remember, each approach has its time and place, and being flexible can be key. Keep practicing, and you'll find your rhythm. Happy day trading!

    • @BlackGirlStocks
      @BlackGirlStocks  3 месяца назад +1

      Awesome to hear you're interested in diving into options trading! It's definitely an exciting area, but it's also pretty complex, so starting off on the right foot is key. 📈
      The first thing I'd recommend is getting a solid understanding of the basics-know what calls and puts are, learn about strike prices and expiration dates, as well as the concept of intrinsic and extrinsic value. There are heaps of great resources out there from books to online courses that can guide you.
      Once you've got the basics down, paper trading can be a good next step. Many platforms offer simulation trading where you can practice without risking any actual cash. It's a fantastic way to get a feel for how things work in real market conditions.
      Also, don’t forget to familiarize yourself with the risks involved. Options can be risky and it's super important to understand what you could lose. Start small, and never invest more than you can afford to lose.
      When you feel ready to get your feet wet with real money, keep it conservative at first. Maybe try a few basic strategies like buying calls or puts depending on your market outlook.
      Remember, there's no rush-take the time to learn and gradually build your confidence. If you have more specific questions, I’m here to help. Best of luck on your trading journey!
      Happy learning! 📚📈

    I would avoid America stocks right now. Things are too shaky. It's best to go the long term route and invest in international index funds.

      Hey, I get where you're coming from, but it's a bit more nuanced than that. While things might look shaky, there's actually a lot of strategies and a variety of option trading tactics, that can work well in any market condition.It definitely requires a bit of specialized knowledge, not just sticking to the long-term approach. But hey, I appreciate your point of view, thanks for sharing!

      Oh man, really sorry to hear about that rough experience with Pocket Option. That's a tough hit for sure. 😔 I've personally been using Webull for my trades, and it's been pretty solid for me. It's all I can vouch for based on my experience. Maybe it could be a better fit for you too. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a change. Hope things turn around for you in the trading game! 🍀📈

      @BlackGirlStocks yeah, I deleted it after blowing my last account. I had qoutex, and they stopped that in this country. Now I have webull, but it's just confusing and clutterry I just don't understand where t o start or what to do. I know I feel like a idiot...I like the feel of oanda but that's not options...I don't know where to jump back in at, if I had someone explain how webull works maybe I could decipher it and find 100 bucks and try this again
