  • There are two ways of answering the question 'why do I have low back pain'. You have the answer that you get if you Google search - the typical 'pathoanatomical' answer that talks about structures that are 'at fault'. The other way is HOW IT ACTUALLY IS. Low back pain (or any pain) is multi-dimensional across anatomy, pain science, immune system and psychology. It is much more than 'just' about a disc, or a facet joint, or a ligament or a muscle.

Just had a spasm LBP for a month & it was a new agony, but went away with gentle exercise. Main causes for me: sitting too much, sitting too low.
Not moving or stretching enough. Having weak muscles. Not walking enough. Just my experience. Thanks for info. Luckily, like you said, nerve impulses were very painful, but no actual damage or lasting problem. So be hopeful 😊 in 2024.

Thanks for your reply! Not moving enough is key. The body loves movement, it needs it to stay healthy. Pain isn't a measure of damage, it's a measure of protection!
