    Great review. Liked the demonstrated the workability of the club rather than just hitting 5 shots and saying it's "soft".

    I've been looking forward to this! I currently use the 2014 MB, but after seeing this review they could be getting replaced!! 👍

      Cheers, David. They feel and look much more forgiving than the 716MB. Those blades scare the hell out of me!

    Soooo shiny, do they come with a pair of Oakley's? Seems like if you just tried hitting high fades all the time you'd end up with a pretty consistent result. I personally call my shot after it's been hit, makes me seem like i know what I'm doing. Great vid as always mate!

    Just for S&Gs I looked up the Maltby Playability Factor of these P-730 and its 15, whereas the P-790 is 540. An old standby blade, the Mizuno MP-14s are rated 454, and they are a blade. So these must REALLY be difficult for a player like me to hit well. Alex, I guess even pros had a hard time with these... at least I didnt see too many players using these on television. Btw I thought you were doing okay with them. Also, I only use the MPF as reference and not gospel. Keep up the vids.

      Except Rory dj morikawa Justin rose and others still use them. They are THE most used iron in Taylormade pga tour lineup

      Well if u ever intend to resell them in the future...the mizunos...its not even a comparison.
      TM releases products by the week and therefore devalues their products and collapses their resale value.
      Mizunos hold their value much better and have higher resale value....oh and besides that mizuno just make better irons 😜

    I play gigagolf blade irons modeled after Nike vr pro blades and have hit the ping and mizuno blades and quite literally feel no difference between them what so ever. I mean aside from some sound differences, they strike the ball exactly the same
    Spin, ball flight etc

    201 yards is an incredibly long 7 iron. An average PGA Tour 7 iron distance is 165-180.

  • @JacobSever
    @JacobSever 7 лет назад

    Must be nice to be good enough to shape shots however you want. I got myself a high fade, and there's nothing I can do about it.
    Wait wait wait...and getting 200+ yards carry on a 7-iron ISN'T for distance? My Lord. I'm lucky to get my 4-iron to carry 200 yards.

    that’s actually rory saying he wants it smaller and thinner topline. that’s why they are built just for him

    • @alexetchesgolf
      @alexetchesgolf  7 лет назад

      Would love to agree, but I did have a meeting with the Chief of custom fitting yesterday! - Which did really help! They had input from Rory, Dustin and Rose combined. I just focused on Justin's input

      Also a good read on this regarding workability - www.golfdigest.com/story/taylormade-p730-irons-seen-as-tour-prototype-for-months-now-readies-for-consumer-launch

    • @j.4nash462
      @j.4nash462 7 лет назад

      i’m sure u know more then i would. i was just going by what i’ve read in the past when the released the article of rors clubs before they made DJ and roses. and rors was saying he always played a smaller and thinner blade growing up and the 750 we’re thinker topline then what he was used to and the blade length was lil longer then what he came from and was used to. your the only vid i’ve seen that has actually got to do a review about how they actually feel vs putting pictures up.
      i’ve been wanting to know how do they compare to the 716MB and the Miura Baby Blades. because i’m wanting to go with those three and don’t know which ones i wanna go. i know i want a way thinner topline with the smallest blade length. so if u could help me out that’d be awesome. good vid btw

    • @alexetchesgolf
      @alexetchesgolf  7 лет назад

      Thanks, mate. No worries at all!
      I can't compare against the Miura as I haven't hit them, but they are much more forgiving than the 716MB. I look at the 716MB and think "How am I going to hit that" as it's a proper BLADE!
      For me, The P730 felt more like a small cavity than a blade - which is a good and bad thing really.
      I have done a review against the MP18 which should be up in a few days.

    "Its not long" = 184 7 iron that is probably 34-35 degree's. Congratulations on your perception of what is short.

    • @alexetchesgolf
      @alexetchesgolf  7 лет назад

      Sorry! I did mean compared to other models I've hit. However, It isn't designed to be long

    • @jballoregon
      @jballoregon 7 лет назад

      I was being sarcastic, with my 98 mph driver swing speed I'm in awe of how far you can carry a club like this. Great reviews, keep them up!
