Floor's cover of Alone is great also. A different band, but I think you will enjoy his range. You should look up the singers story. Also, he had a tragic stage accident in the 90s and had to relearn to sing. Steelheart - She's Gone (acoustic)
You should cover ALL Floor’s Cover Songs & her Solo Album songs! Alone, Into the Unknown, Oblivion, Agape (which you find vocally interesting), Dangerous Game - with Henk (recorded in seperate locations) and she covered Euphoria with Beste Zangers on the Avrotros channel - (with Floor in a seperate location from the band). ruclips.net/video/FOBgrpkOIVE/видео.html From Floor’s Paragon Solo Album - Fire, Daydream and the title track My Paragon (which has an awesome video too!) Enjoy! 😊
One of my favorites is Floor's rendition of "Euphoria" from the Beste Zangers Eurovision song festival. She couldn't be there live, so she sang it from home just days after her surgery.
Floor is a grandmaster at arousing completely different emotions in the listener with each song. Her understanding of music and extreme versatility makes her so unique and a goddess of music. I love to see how she can inspire you with every song.
The background story..... Floor's and Hannes's daughter had been walking around in the house for months singing this song and driving them crazy. So - what do you do during a pandemic lock-down, you are Floor .... You look into the YT camera and say to your fans ' now it's your turn to get a song stuck in your heads'. And then she did this. And she was right. We all went around for months singing this . Great reaction from you 👍
So how about Frozen 2? Compare Floor's version of "Into The Unknown" with the original and with Aurora's version. Also, Floor's introduction to the other guests on the "Beste Zangers" series in 2019 (the first time most of the other guests had heard Floor sing):- Floor Jansen - Vilja lied | Beste Zangers 2019 : ruclips.net/video/lcLG5X1i2QM/видео.html
I wouldn't be surprised if there was a blizzard that formed outside the studio. She started singing this to her daughter, because her daughter is a big fan of the movie. Floor can sing anything....
Hi Nina. Saw ppl suggesting Floor's "Beste Zangers" performances. Absolutely great stuff. Here's some info (also on the best versions to use). The "Beste Zangers" goldmine is a treasure trove of all things Floor. I'll try to keep this short.. and post a follow-up with all the necessary l!nks. So this is about songs that were performed by Floor during the legendary 2019 edition of the Dutch TV show, "Beste Zangers". In English, this translates into "Best Singers" but it can also be taken as "Dear Singers", as in a written invitation. That's what the show is about. No competition or anything. Just accomplished singers gathered together in an intimate setting far from home (this was filmed on Ibiza, if I'm not mistaken). Each episode is dedicated to one of the singers. The others perform songs that have a special meaning for the singer at the centre of attention. What's so nice abt Floor in that show was that most of the other singers didn't know her. She was that "metal chick" and not well known in the mainstream. Most of the Dutch television audience didn't know much about her either. That was about to change dramatically. In short, she blew all of them away singing in German, Dutch, English and Spanish. From the get-go, she set the bar so high that the others stepped up their game and in turn delivered stellar performances when they sang to Floor (and were incredibly nervous). Special mention in this respect: Emma Heesters (a RUclips singer) who sang Floor's song "Strong" to Floor (who had written it for her mother who suffers from chronic RA). Tissues handy for that one! When doing reactions as a non-Dutchie, it's best to go with the English subbed versions. If YT doesn't allow me to include the l!nks, know that all the subbed versions can be found on the channel "Floor op TV", playlist: Beste Zangers 2019. These versions include the lovely before/after banter which provides some very useful & fun context to the songs. The official versions (by broadcaster AVRO/TROS) I would not recommend, since they miss the before/after and also tend to get blocked increasingly. Cheers from Amsterdam! 🤘
Episode 1: Floor sings as the 1st singer to perform, for Henk Poort (who didn't know her then..) "Floor Jansen - Vilja Lied (2019) + intro and outro (With eng subtitles)" - ruclips.net/video/JN80AfHiUTY/видео.html Episode 2: Floor sings for Samantha Steenwijk (no before/after alas in this one) "Floor Jansen - Mama - Translation" - ruclips.net/video/I8MKd4lkvDc/видео.html Episode 3: Floor sings for Rolf Sanchez (who is a native Dutch & Spanish speaker) "Floor Jansen - Que Se Siente (2019) + intro and outro (with eng and Spanish subs)" - ruclips.net/video/Z7wdgB9RbHs/видео.html Episode 4: Emma Heesters sings "Strong" for Floor (ATTENTION: This is the complete episode. Use this link only, it will jump to the part leading up to Emma starting to sing. The other version is slightly out of sync) "Beste Zangers 2019 afl 4 Floor Jansen (eng.translation)" - ruclips.net/video/rBSD5o0wyCI/видео.html Episode 5: Floor sings for Ruben Annink (tissue alert!) Something that you should know about FLOOR JANSEN. She started singing in a symphonic metal band at just 16 years old. After Forever (1995-2009). Then she created a new Progressive Metal band, ReVamp (2009-2016). In 2018 she released a personal Hard Rock project (Northward). In 2012, she was invited by Nightwish to finish their world tour, after the band's second female singer (Annete Olzon) left. In 2013 she became Nightwish's full time lead Vocalist. She is a singing teacher. She sings in Dutch, German, English, Spanish, Finnish, Swedish, Italian and Latin. She sings Heavy Metal, Trash Metal, Pop, Rock, Symphonic Metal, Arya and Opera. She even sang rap. THE BEST SINGER TODAY IN THE WHOLE WORLD.
When it came out someone added the Frozen scene from the song to Floor's version and added the Orchestral Karaoke track underneath which makes the score very thick. It was a magnificent piece of editing.
Hi Nina, thank you forr another great raction 😉 I would *HIGHLY RECOMMEND* you to look at Floor's version of Euphoria on The Beste Zangers show. Unfortuunately she had recently undergone gall bladder surgery so could not fly, but she presented via a video she made at her home studio which they played on a screen
Hi Nina, there is another amazing Symphonic Metal band you should check out, they are called EPICA, they are from the Netherlands (same as Floor), another incredible female lead singer Simone Simons, this is a live performance from earlier this year, in Amsterdam: EPICA - Unleashed (Live At The AFAS Live)
I love that this one has the exact length and timing of the original. There is a version of the movie footage with Floor doing the vocals. Makes a great impression.
On another video I just posted that some people call the bands like Floor's former bands Eftelingmetal. Well. Other people call Efteling 'The Dutch Disneyland'. Add 1 + 1 and ot's a no brainer why she covered it. I think you're spot on with the pronounciation of Oscar Fläring. Although Swedish, it sounds like a German surname,. But maybe Oscer instead of Oscar - although probably they know better :) Arrangement is like a mix between Dream Theater and Iron Maiden. Having said that, I'm not sure why I'm watching your videos. At best I'm a backup singer. No wait. At best I sing vocals of silly jingles. There's that. But mainly I am - or certainly was mainly a music writer. If not arranger. And certainly just... Jamming. Like freestyle singing, but playing instead.
This mix was not correct, In this version the volume of her voice was not layered correct. After the community pointed it out, Floor corrected the problem and posted it again. This version is much better: ruclips.net/video/plFqA0NMzds/видео.html
I love this version. Floor’s voice is warmer and rounder than Idina Menzel’s. Sometimes I feel like that high note at the end can kinda blow your head off, but Floor’s voice softens it a little.
Floor obviously knows her strengths and weaknesses, and knows what she likes in the musical backing. This wouldn't be the first time she has played with the musical arrangement of a song. Even on her season on Beste Sangers, she gave a couple of tunes more of a rock edge to them, compared to the original.
As I watched you reacting to Eurovision recently you might enjoy Floor's interpretation of Loreen's previous winning song called Euphoria. She was at home in Sweden having had a gall bladder operation while everyone else was in The Netherlands. ruclips.net/video/FOBgrpkOIVE/видео.html
Want to see Floor being amazing without giant note and sustain. Watch her sing in Beste Zangers singing Que Si Siente . Singing is a language she can't speak and absolutely killing the latin vibe ( really!)
Interesting that you mentioned the drumming in the arrangement. It just so happens that Floor is married to a very good drummer - Hannes van Dahl, drummer for Sabaton.
Great reaction. as usual, thanks. Always fascinating hearing your analysis. If you would like another suggestion for Floor then there is the song "Me without you" from her album Paragon. ruclips.net/video/RAnIRd39Pr8/видео.html
Hi, Nina, I love your interest for good music. I love your reactions. I'll give you two recommends for next singers who are as brilliant as Floor Jansen. The first Simone Simons from Epica - Sensorium: ruclips.net/video/jxWHrHC2Qe4/видео.html and the second Dianne van Giersbergen when she was in Xandria: ruclips.net/video/bqYOvBZlA1c/видео.html, most of them have gone through it so far, so you could be the first. You won't regret listening to it, I promise. I am so looking forward to your reactions after you listen it to.
Hey Nina,I have a suggestion for you . Avantasia (futuring Floor Jansen) ruclips.net/video/RRG0DO1YFic/видео.html .Floor did 2 songs with them last year and also Tobias Sammet has a great voice. Greatings from Spain.👍🤘
The video volume is tok low compared to your voice audio. And your constant talking and noises booms in my ear buds. And why don't you do a video in 2 parts so you can do a video where you just watch a listen and one where you're constantly pausing and talking.
Let it goooo let it gooo! ❤ What else should I watch?
Floor's cover of Alone is great also.
A different band, but I think you will enjoy his range. You should look up the singers story. Also, he had a tragic stage accident in the 90s and had to relearn to sing.
Steelheart - She's Gone (acoustic)

Might as well do her cover of Into the Unknown from Frozen 2 🤣🤣

her masterclass vids are quite good as well, interesting for folk wanting backgound and entertaining too.
Ooh noted!
A completely different Floor again. Her work in ‘Northward’ is amazing. Meet sassy rock Floor.
ruclips.net/video/bAiPeSsqD-4/видео.html
“While Love Died” is a super catchy rock song!
@Donna C I absolutely love that song!
Her cover of Alone is a must.
I recommend Daydream from Floor's solo album Paragon (the whole album is great).
I concur
What's even more amazing is that this was done at home during the pandemic lockdown. I think Euphoria has to be on your list too.
one of my favorit covers she did my no. 1 is oblivion
ah i love how you genuinely enjoy listening to this music
When it came out someone added the Frozen scene from the song to Floor's version and added the Orchestral Karaoke track underneath which makes the score very thick. It was a magnificent piece of editing.

Nightwish: Dead Boy's Poem live in Bueos Aires is a absolute must, it's stunning.
She has so much sas and strength in this version
Have you seen her cover of Loreen? (For Beste Zangers, eurovision episode. She sang it just after surgery, incredible)
A fairly recent release solo song Me Without You worth a look
Another great Floor Jansen cover is ‘Euphoria’ and/or ‘Into the Unknown’.
So good ❤
Fantastic breakdown & reaction 🤘
Thanks

you should listen to all her songs from NIGHTWISH and Her band AFTER FOREVER
How are people NOT hitting the like button? C'mon people!
Isn't this the first one she did in a rushvas well? Produced and performed largely by the piano dude from Ayreon and mamy other amazing productions.
Hi, very very beautiful reaction
Way better than the original. Disney needs to hire her.
Nightwish Army fan 💜 favorite is Oblivion ❤.
🤗🍒🤘🏻😘 well done Nina

eact to her solo album, Paragon ❤ its beautiful
as floor lives in sweden i think the cold doesnt bored her any more lol
👍👍
Want to see Floor being amazing without giant note and sustain. Watch her sing in Beste Zangers singing Que Si Siente . Singing is a language she can't speak and absolutely killing the latin vibe ( really!)
Floor should sing every Disney theme song!
Interesting that you mentioned the drumming in the arrangement. It just so happens that Floor is married to a very good drummer - Hannes van Dahl, drummer for Sabaton.
At some point clicks make the virtual world, I guess. In my opinion "Oblivion" and "Agape" are so much more enjoyable for your and my ears.
2 guesses who did the music for her for that song, this is basically a Nightwish cover of Let It Go lol
Shinedown "Simple Man" REACTION
Great reaction. as usual, thanks. Always fascinating hearing your analysis. If you would like another suggestion for Floor then there is the song "Me without you" from her album Paragon. ruclips.net/video/RAnIRd39Pr8/видео.html

Thank you Nina! please analyse a Song from Homayoun Shajarian :)

Thats easy,just pick one!!
This was her first cover, sound mixing was so so. Try into the unknown for a much more balanced mix
Also they did another duet:
ruclips.net/video/dj50YIwoFLc/видео.html
She did a lot of other solo products as well, these were doing covid.
The remastered version is way better
Ive said it before and ill keep saying it .......The Amsterdam Version is Better .
Personally I find her version of Into The Unknown from Frozen 2 much better than this one

Bye!
And this is why you never record nor mix or do anything with Apple computers! What a shame!
