- Alexander was the first haircut in the brand new Regal Gentleman Studios, our co-working barbershop. There's still a lot of work to do, but we are due to open to our doors in the next month or two (announcements coming soon). Alexander wanted a middle parting with volume, but after a consultation settled for an off centre parting longer mens haircut that took off some of the length.

Dan always gives the best advice to young guys who typically have no idea what their hair can easily do and what suits their face. This young man has gorgeous hair ( one in a million color) .and now has a flattering style. Rock on, Dan!

It would be interesting if Dan did a video just teaching the client how to style his hair, where the client actually tried it.
Dan was trying his best to change the clients mind about his choice of haircut, he doesn't suit long hair, he'd look much better with a shorter cut

Hairdresser here,i am pivot point trained and learned precision haircutting in the 80s .i love watching dan he cares about his clients goes back in breaks up the ends after hes cut perfectly. Ive always done that and never piked up bad habits.

In the first 30 seconds of the video I went "Huh, Dan looks like he lost some weight!" and judging by the comment section I wasn't the only one thinking that.

I never seen such hairstylist in Hyderabad, India. Great work. I have wanting to keep long hair, but non of the barbers here in my city never did a work like this to keep my hair long, only celebrities can afford such hairstylist here in Hyderabad, India. Only thing I’d change is the perimeter length transition from the sides to the back seems to drastic of a difference in lengths.

Congrats on the new space! Something has to be added to the plain, white backdrop. I'm just not sure what will work for that wall. The room appears to be very narrow in width and so there's no depth. I would do something to at least create the illusion of distance between Dan and the wall behind him. You'll figure it out! Keep up the great work 👍
You gave him the cut he requested, but in my opinion, he looked MUCH better prior to the cut.
I think he’d look better with a shorter haircut. Just throw in a little product make it a little messy or a 60/40 or a 70/30 part

The only guy I've ever seen look good with this kind of pin straight flat shoulder length middle part is Keanu Reeves who's obviously gonna look decent with pretty much any haircut because his facial attractiveness is way above average. If your an average joe like this guy I'd strongly recommend not going for something like this it just makes you look like an angsty teenager. Also you've gotta have some natural wave in your hair for this kind of style or it looks very bland because of the lifeless appearance to it.

Looking good regal gents. The longer 90s curtains are coming back. Would have loved to seen his pic what he wanted. When I had long hair , hairdryer an diffuser best things ever although fine line between looking styled or dragged through a bush 😆

You're looking great, Dan! Did you get a new camera or videographer? Video quality seems off in this video and it kept going in and out of focus.
First video filmed in the new space! We’re still getting used to it. Lighting isn’t perfect yet! But we’ll get there! You’ll probably notice a difference aswell as these initial videos go on and you see we get used to it more! Also need a blind for that back window as camera struggles to focus facing that way! A lot of improvements coming over the next months. Appreciate your suggestions though!

I have been asking for this haircut for 40 years. What I get is a blunt cut that makes me look like the little Dutch Boy, Not a great look for a woman. I give it a shakedown period of 3 shampoos then start tweaking it on my own to soften the harsh line. Dan listens, evaluates face, hair, and the effort required to maintain it. My dream hair person. Unfortunately, I'm 2,000 miles away.

Getting used to the new space! Where’s best angles to film from, where we lose focus etc.. This is our “pilot” but loads to come in the new space! Bare with us as we adjust but it’ll be worth it. Lots to come! Can’t wait to show you all the finished space and content that will come!

Love the tutorials. Need to address the acoustics in the studio. There are a ton of reflections off those hard walls. Need a different mic setup or wall treating. Cheers and keep up the good work.
Alexander's hair looked best wet and slicked back (suited his face). Wonder how he would have looked with shorter hair but he wanted the other cut.

Dude, its his hair! This barber seeems to want to cut his clients hair his way. I see some control issues here. If after you have already told your client what that kind of hair cut will affect his daily life and he still wants it that way, then so be it! Dont force your client to cut it your way.
yeah, he does this a lot, I find. He makes the haircut sound like rocket science so that when it goes wrong the client feels responsible for asking for something unreasonable. There's no way that haircut in the picture was unachievable for this guys hair.

The haircut was done well, but it’s not a look I would appreciate.
I've tried to do the dryer and round brush thing forever. What a stylist can do, especially to the back is so much better than what we can manage ourselves. Thank God for rotating dryer brushes! This young guy not enjoy having to do so much to his hair. And it is going to end up falling into his eyes. I wish he had chosen a shorter cut. Not a fan of the cut he got.

Everyone is like how the hairdresser looks cute and nice and younger and blablabla sure he is.. no doubt about that but my heart goes for that poor guy who had long hair and ended up with leonardo di caprio hair cut on titanic. I am sure back in his house he cried. Don t ever ask an haidresser to cut your long hair from a picture you saw...like never ever (men or women) They ll keep on cutting and cutting till you look like nothing like from that picture but from a somehow model hair cut they have in mind and learnt at school.

yup I knew he was doomed when he walked in, his hair was a good length he should've just left it alone if you're going to rock long hair just leave it long these hairdressers are like playing russian roulette, I'm in the process of growing mine back now
