i have a 2014 diesel cruze - removing these are easy enough but what (if any) needs to be done to the computer? to avoid def countdown, and speed countdowns? mine keeps going into countdown permanent fault codes and want to get rid of that junk...
You need to get it tuned, can’t remove it without tuning it. Hell, some vehicles won’t even let you start the them at all without having filters present.

I have a 2012 chevrolet cruze 2.0 vcdi ltz. Best thing I ever done was to get the dpf delete. At first I went under the car undone the exhaust from dpf then got a bar and hammered out the filter aswell as the cat above it. Took a little while but this way I no my car would pass the visual examination for mot. Once I had all the internals removed I had the engine management light on constant.i then went to a company called ecomax tuning and did the dpf delete followed by a stage 2 remap. I have to say best thing ever the car moves very very well. When you get a dpf delete if you go to a good tuning company they will map it so your car wont smoke. I live in uk and the mot emissions side of it is quite strict but my car passed mot I just had to refit the empty dpf canister to car soon as I got the 12 months mot I the refitted my custom turbo down pipe. I always have a fault code stored on car diagnostic p0030 which is a h02 bank 1 sensor but I never have any lights on dash. If your gonna get this done dont get a company to cut open the filter as the mot will pick up on the weld just get at it from underneath the car
What did you use to get those 2 other nuts off on that bracket so you could get the DPF out? Sat here for 2 hours trying to figure it out and couldn’t at all. Any info is appreciated thank you

I have a 12 chevrolet cruze 2.0 diesel ltz executive I have a dpf delete and stage 2 remap plus a few extra mods. Most mpg ive got out of it it 66.5 mpg on a long motorway drive. If I drive sensible around town etc ill get 45 easy if im a bit heavy footed then about 32 mpg but overall thats alot better then when the dpf was on. My mpg use to drop to 18mpg during regen

I've found a place that is selling the tune software online but to get it I need the ECM serial number. I have absolutely no idea where to find it. Any chance you could help with this?
@@carteranderson32 They're asking for that too. I've got that figured out. I'm just totally clueless on where the ECM is on this vehicle I thought it was the thing on the front of the battery but that's the glow plug controller.
I found it and figured out the serial number. It's the covered thing on the side of the battery. I had to take the battery out to get at it, if you can find the clip you might be able to unclip it with out taking the battery out. Now I'm wondering if you've done anything about the SCR system. I'm a little worried it's going to get clogged with soot.

You will have to call around to all the diesel truck performance shops asking for a referral to one that still sells the tune and down pipe. EPA is scaring companies, so no one wants to do business online.

How do you know what all the sensors are? got a reference material?
LOOKS SIMPLE ENOUGH . WOULD THE PROCESS BE REVERSIBLE WITH THAT PROGRAMMING TOOL ?
It can be reversed and I did that once for a warranty item to be fixed. Then I deleted everything again.

What did you do with the two vacuuming lines you didn’t have to reuse?
The vacuum lines are disconnected from the DPF and left to hang free. The new tuning ignores them.

Those lines go to the exhaust gas differential pressure sensor. No need to plug them.
Are you going to be doing the EGR delete as well?
I did the EGR Delete at the same time as the DPF delete. I am editing the video and will post soon.

Kept it. In case I have to move to a county that requires emission testing. Anyone doing this mod, should do the same. It can always be reinstalled.
