"Custom Home Heater" 😅
Jokes aside, your setup is absolutely mad! I'm loving it! ❤
Your setup is pure class!
Kool, i'm putting together a bench rig to start playing off of, just picked up a 14900ks and a z790 Apex, direct die, MoRA 420, trying to have it ready for the 5090 release
Beast mode “engaged”
What's the performance gain of this CPU setup compared to running @stok with hyperthreading? Also how are the temps normally ? I'm guessing they must be 35 degrees with that cooling rig?
Are you doing direct die w/ liquid metal? Seems like the way to go if you're doing a custom loop these days. I retired from custom loops after my 10900K 2080 Ti (currently on a 14700K & 4090). Noise isn't an issue, and my sys isn't much of a show piece. The performance benefits for the games I play w/ the newer hardware imo isn't justifiable for the cost or maintenance but I still enjoy seeing others setups. It's a great side hobby for sure.
I value my warranty so I never delid or go with Direct Die. You only need to change the fluid once a year, so maintenance is not that bad.
Id love to see a full look over your setup bro. Looks very well done. Also curious what radiator/radiators your running.
I'm just using a single Mo-Ra3 420 LT external radiator with a EK D5 Pumps.
I have my 14900K at 6GHz all core (in games) with 1.475v adaptive voltage. I am using a strange overclock method using TVB+1 Boost with the regular overclock at all core x59 with 2 cores at x60. I have the TVB temperature offset at +36 allowing 6GHz all core up to 80C, which keeps games at that clock speed. Had to add a tiny bit of voltage, but much less than I would need for a regular x60 all core overclock (without TVB.) I disabled hyperthreading to get that to work. I get higher clocks, but sacrifice hyperthreading. Have not noticed a performance drop playing at 4K yet.
Very nice. If I remember correctly wasn't your 4090 water-cooled at one stage, I think you used the Phanteks water-block? Did you go back to the original air cooler for your 4090? What was the reason?
That was my RTX 3090 Ti.
I bet this is super nice to have now that the temperatures are getting up there here in Europe.
My little bullshit aircooler is ramping up nicely because of the increase in temperatures lol.
Would be good to see a settings video on how you got to 6.2Ghz , i assume using TVB+2 with a p cores set at 6.0Ghz ... either way be good to see how you achieved it and an interesting watch 🙂
@BMAR92 Why are you trying to speak for me? And what do you mean " be lucky if it will answer?
The liquid coolant reminds me of some local syrup 🤤
I have been wanting to wall mount a Mora3 with my system. Do you run cable extensions to power your pumps and fans with the PSU inside your PC case or do you use a secondary power supply? Any tips you have for cabling would be appreciated. Thanks!
I just use cable extensions for the fans and pumps. My PSU is inside my case so no secondary power supply.
Hello. It's possible get bioss video from your TVB 6.2GHz HT OFF overclocking ? :) You have couple of them on you chanel with OC CPU :)
I'm still working on my settings so not yet, maybe in the future.
Good but nothing more. Would love to see fullcover for CPU and motherboard together with RAM and GPU.
fullcover my ass
Two questions for you.
Why the choice of green? Just curious
Have you ever tried cranking the fans to 100% to see just how low the temps get?
I choose green because this system houses an NVIDIA GPU. I have the fans on a PWM fan curve, so If temps get to 90c then the fans will go to 100%.
@@Bang4BuckPCGamer Appreciate the answers.
So you haven't tried to just crank it to 100% to see how low you can get the CPU temps?
@@Plague_Doc22 Honestly the fans don't help much once you hit 600RPM. Over an extended period of time you may reduce temps by 2c at the most when leaving it at 100% from my experience.
@@Bang4BuckPCGamer Oh ok, appreciate the response.
Have you ever had a leak that damaged components? I want to try watercooling for the benefits some day but I'm scared of the risk.
No because the fluid has very low conductivity. It could leak onto a component and nothing would happen. Over time the fluid will become more conductive so it's not something you want to take for granted. But I do all leak testing with components unpowered.
If you leak test first, it's unlikely that a leak will occur. I did get a leak once (my first water cooling attempt where I didn't leak test) and my 980ti got really wet. Once I noticed the leak, I powered down the system, wiped up all the liquid I could see, and let it air dry for a few days. Everything ended up perfectly fine and my card lasted for years afterwards until I sold it.
@@Bang4BuckPCGamer Thanks beast. Maybe I’ll have the confidence to try it some day. I’d love a direct die build.
What size is that square radiator? The one with 4 fans
Dimensions (L x W x H): 475.5 x 430 x 65 mm
Bang4BuckPC Gamer: sets up an additional radiator with fans next to a window for better cooling
Me: pack my PC into a small closet and connect to it remotely 😅
Cool
the game crashes on my 14900KF, and i think its due to the oodle data compression failure with high intel cpu's, does anyone else have this problem?
I have a Rtx 4090 and an i9 13900k no crashes
👍👍
What's your VCore for 6,2 Ghz?
Since he did not answer and this is a nice question, I decided to give it a shot. For example, my I9 14900KS needs 1.45v at 6.2 GHz for all Pcores and 4.7 for all Ecores with Hyperthreading turned on. When HT is disabled CPU doesn't need that much voltage and can be set around 1.38v, but you could notice a drastically decreased score in Cinebench performance from 45k points to 38k at least.
@@BMAR92 Won't disabling HP hurt gaming performance as well in demanding games?
@@Draigfyre I guess for gaming it doesn't matter that much since not all the games take advantage of hyperthreading and the difference between on and off is really small. Since he plays games at 4K resolution or higher, it is more GPU-bound than CPU.
@@BMAR92 What SP is your KS as for 1.45v 6.2Ghz that would indicate it is around SP115 ( P-SP128 ) which is very very rare and in the top 1% of KS ... most of them need 1.5V+
@@jay16v Pcores sp 126, Ecores sp 81, MC sp 88 and overall sp 111
All that do beat stock 7800x3d by 5% 😂
Aww I guess all you do is play games with your PC. The 7800X3D is a very average CPU when doing anything else. I bought something that can do everything well.
@@Bang4BuckPCGamer don’t listen to the trolls. They like hating on intel and bringing others down based on what hardware specs people are using.
So 3 x 360 Radiators
3 X 420
btw do you find satisfying velocity2 performance? dony you concider replacing it with supercool or iceman ddwb?
I think the velocity 2 does a good job. So no I haven't considered replacing it.
@@Bang4BuckPCGamer oh you mentioned you dont do dd so prolly thats why velo2 okay 4 u! amazing freqs for nondelidded sillicon thou
