Here in 2022... My librarian was killed in this shooting. She never judged me for one second when I needed to print out my plan b coupon. She was a sweet woman and she didn't make me pay my nickel for printing. I guess she saw me struggling. She was a woman of intelligence, class, beauty, & filled with God's love and understanding. Cynthia Graham I will never forget you or your kindness. You were an angel on earth and I'm sorry you didn't get more time here to spread your love.
So sad, we can all take solace Sister Cynthia is with our Lord Jesus Christ, he took all that pain and suffering away.
I am here in 2020 to remind myself what a leader looks and sounds like
Me too
I'm here to remember whats its like to have a real leader we can be pround of
Me too
So true
say that again. a real president. a real leader.
Who is here again in 2020. I can't still get enough of him in this very speech.
Especially after another murder, needed to hear wise and reasonable voice.
@Ripsaw17 Dennis 🤡
@Ripsaw17 Dennis think of it not as a presidency issue, but please admire his even attempt at humanity. Even he would acknowledge he wasnt a president for the blacks, but for all people.

You stupid moron. What did Barack Hussein Obama, the first gay Muslim president, ever do for his own people, particularly in his beloved state of Chicago?? I'll be anxiously awaiting your answer...
Our Black and shinning Prince ... makes us proud to be who we are. Hallelujah!
PREACH! Love out POTUS!!!
Naimah Fuller He truly is! I hope the events in Charleston help others remember this as a defining moment where our president stopped and preached the Gospel in this awful time.
***** I think she does... She only celebrates the moment different from u.
Not if he compromises the truths of the gospel!
I am still trying to understand how such a great man is hated so much in this country.... I mean Seriously!!
Mrtwothousand Smutwell Many "reasons" but mostly the same reason the 9 people were killed in this church.
I heard Barack's interview on Marc Maron's podcast and the President is an astonishingly "mature" individual.
To quote Public Enemy, "Don't Believe the Hype". Barack won the popular vote TWICE. Most of America appreciates to Loves the Obamas!
Mrtwothousand Smutwell Great man have always been hated by their community. Because what makes them great is their willingness to take a stand. And there are just as many out there willing to take opposing stands too. Those who are loved by many are hated by just as many and become significant. Those who do not illicit an emotional response are just forgotten. In 10 years time, watch when people ask Mitt who?
Mrtwothousand Smutwell because he is black they hate obama more than they love america.
***** your an ass.... I bet your gonna vote for #donaldtrump
***** Quick: Which US political party has continuously and openly done whatever they can to block progress, waste money, kill jobs, promote discrimination, step on the poor and embarrass the US as a whole with stupid comments and actions? Who has promoted acts of war more than Obama? If you guessed the Republican Party, you are correct.Who is the worst of the party? If you guessed Rafael Edward "Ted" Cruz, you are correct. However, Marco Antonio Rubio, John Andrew Boehner , Addison Mitchell "Mitch" McConnell, Thomas Bryant "Tom" Cotton, Lindsey Olin Graham, Joni Kaye Ernst, Darrel Edward Issa, Louis Buller "Louie" Gohmert, Paul Davis Ryan or really any other member would also be accepted.
This is one of the best speeches I have ever seen.
This is why they hate him he destroys all their view of what it means to be black, his intelligence, his faith, his family and his calmness and peace...........
You hit the nail on the head. Its been our faith and hope that has helped us endure the condition we were in to progress to this hour. They try their best to discredit him, but God's grace is sufficient
Veronica Garcia Jesus said everything he needed to in the sermon on the mount, the first will be last and the last will be first and that is what they are afraid of, they see it happening now. They think they are loosing something instead of sharing something. Like a little child who does not want to share his toy......
Maurice Jones The true test is to find supernatural strength by having relationship with God not just religious piety. The pharisses knew the word but didn't hide it in their heart nor did they comprehend grace. You cannot let hatred, fear, the pride of life contaminate your heart. The whole world was watching not one riot? Not one. We are not the savages they depict us as.
Veronica Garcia We show Grace as a the President said. Blacks and Hispanics, and the Irish have been historically the most dedicated religious people in our country but when they speak of the religious you always see white churches.
The story is getting out there like when the nation and the world saw the hoses, dogs and cattle prods being placed on young people peacefully marching. Before seeing those images many thought the horrors faced by blacks was just talk. They now see the truth and how we really are as people.
dave long His mother was a child of the MOST HIGH GOD!
Coming back to this in 2022 for some much needed positivity, uplifting, and heartfelt words. No matter your politics, no matter your beliefs, no matter your race, no matter your gender, we can all find truths in this. We can all find love in this. We can all find emotion in this. This is the Eulogy of a good man, a man who dedicated himself, put others before. Someone we all can learn from.
Q
That is a President. Period.
He was born to lead. One of the greatest man in this world. God bless Mr. President Obama and Michelle.

@Curtis Jones I think Trump's ass will be kicked the hardest.
@@twright3802 AMEN
Amen... i go back to watch him during times like now when not a spine in sight nor a Republican in Congress fit to shine President Obama's shoes.... except maybe two (2) who instead of denying the serious threat to our democracy January 6 actually posed or celebrating ?? the good patriots who used confederate flags like spears to kill and inflict pain on the scattering of police officers compelled to do the job that 100 more men might have struggled to furnish the protected that was needed on that day. it hurt -- that day hurt. It still hurts. But instead of investigating what powers initiated such an ugly coup, all but 2 Republicans work to sweep the whole experience beneath the rug of gutless spineless embarrassing weakness that reflects on all Americans (what you do to the least of them you do to me...) And it's a darn shame. SO I revert to recent history for leaders who inspire and leaders who lead solely by pride they provoke in all fortunate ears who listen. We need or rather I need this. You are so right. God bless a man who made me proud made a country proud. And John McCain stepped aside with true grace. (Wow, watch "Game Change" on HBO if you haven't already. A based-in-truth account of that election and the grace that even a Sarah Palin couldn't kill
Yes even if he bombed the ahit outta you in the ME you shouldn’t hate him!
It's important to remember that he's not running for re-election here. I believe he truly spoke his mind, and I continue to be impressed by his eloquence. And if, after leaving the Presidency, he goes into a singing career, I'll buy his albums.
David Scott You must have like his "Al green" rendition also, huh?
David Scott - Gonna be pretty disappointing if we get another homespun faux folksy cowboy who went to college for 10 years but somehow thinks 'book lernin' is fer sissies.
David Scott David Obama was and always will be a great politician with high quality speech skills and diplomacy
+George Pitsounis where the fuck did you get David from?
Tyler Nelson I think he meant "David, Obama was..." addressing me.
I am a conservative republican studying political science and law and looking to run for office someday under that affiliation, but I have to admit. He was a man of Christ and smart, genuine guy. I would seek his advice if I ever came to high office.
No you are no conservative you are a RINO !! Just change your party no true God loving and God fearing conservative would ask this one for advice. He took out tax dollars to fund Iran, Isis to murder innocent babies. I simply thank God everyday of my life he is gone from 1600 Pennsylvania avenue.
No, Charlie is a real Republican--a member of the party of Lincoln. Here is President Obama speaking about his Christian faith in a church and you question why a "God fearing" man would want to take his advice? It's okay to disagree with Obama on lots of things; you're entitled to your own opinion . . . but not your own facts. He continued and doubled down on George Bush's bailout of the financial industry, he saved the auto industry, got a stimulus package and thus saved us from another depression. He holds the record for most consecutive months of job growth. He took the risk to order an unbelievably dangerous mission to kill Osama bin Laden. He initially tried to "reset" relations with Russia but learned that was a fool's errand and put in place devastating sanctions and redeployed tanks and fighter jets to Europe. He reversed course, too, on ballistic missile defense and approved AEGIS BMD batteries in Eastern Europe. He bombed the crap out of ISIS, so I have no idea what you're talking about when it comes to "fund" ISIS. He also did not "take out" a single "tax dollar" to "fund" Iran. He released Iranian-owned financial assets that had been frozen since 1979. You can disagree with that call, but you can't call it U.S. tax dollars. It was Iranian money. We simply gave it back to them. Again, it's perfectly fine to disagree with the man's policies (I opposed the Iran Deal, for example) but why have this irrational, delusional hatred of the man? We have had truly awful Presidents--James Buchanan was truly Nero fiddling while the Rome of the U.S.A. burned as the South succeeded. Andrew Johnson actively tried to undermine his own government's policy of Reconstruction. Warren G. Harding was corrupt as hell. Herbert Hoover did nothing after the stock market crashed. Nixon, well . . . it's Nixon. And Jimmy Carter, while an honorable man, was proved largely incompetent in foreign affairs. And yet you choose to focus all the hatred you can muster on Barack Obama?
Charlie best of luck my brother. I am a liberal, just became an attorney and want to get into politics as well. We need more people like you.
@@tammywines9771 thanks to trump and the spineless, soul-less, immoral, greedy, ignorant, racist bastards that call themselves republicans today, you are in good company... your party has sold out the american people and the country- and as far as real, true patriotic Americans like President Obama are concerned, there is love and hope for everyone... even for you and your pathetic party... you see a truly Christian man in this video... his every utterance is filled with grace and goodness... something trump and the racist republicans know NOTHING about...

I have so much reverence for spiritual, brilliant, creative, funny, classy, sensitive, sophisticated, linguistically gifted black men who are leaders... And this one can dance and sing too. He is a devoted father and husband. POTUS is all of that!!
Beautiful words, powerful words, God's Grace is desperately needed🙏❤️
A truly remarkable man. One of the finest statesmen to ever grace our land. What an immense honour it must have been for those fortunate enough to serve by his side. A brilliant orator the likes of which has perhaps never been seen before or, at least, in our recent history.
Absolutely beautiful, I just hope he reached out to the other families that lost there loved ones In this horrible tragedy. Thank you Mr.President.....Amen
scampbell1119 Reportedly, after the service, President Obama did meet with representatives of the other families affected by the shooting.
Yes I heard that after I posted my post. Thank you
Nothing is ever enough for the ungrateful.
Damn good Leader, re-ignite his talent when ever he get's the chance...
Don't mind me, I just watched Barry at the Lewis funeral and needed more.
Kyle Crawford you and I are the same 🥰
This is one of the best speeches in American history
I needed to hear Obama singing Amazing Grace today.
One day after Trump's press conference on Charlottesville protests... I thought it might be a good time to watch this.
I'm not religious in any way... I watched this in high school English class.
But I keep coming back to this video.
I find the stories told in a religion... the whole idea of a sentient God... practically absurd, until I come across some evidence that shows a God exists.
But I firmly believe in and respect Judeo-Christian ethical values. This is a great eulogy.
Max Buskirk I'm definitely agnostic, but it's so incredible to see people brought together by their faith even in moments of such evil. I miss Obama so much.
Setlow Antoinette Muller
Max Buskirk The Bible are African designed to instill faith.. There is a power in this universe shaping and forming this Universe.. Only an idiot would not believe in anything
Max Buskirk Love
Max Buskirk God is a fancy name for consciousness itself
i'm glad i lived to witness the first african american president for two terms. this man got it.
Beautiful moment, THIS is how a leader talks in a moment of crisis, no matter what I thought of some of his policies I’ll always respect Obama
The greatest speech President Obama ever gave, today is 4-29-19 and I still cry when I view this service.
Gods grace and mercy! will bring us through
I miss my President!!
Pathetic
I DO TOO!!!
I do too miss him. President Obama spoke highly of Rev Pinkey. Amazing Grace how sweet the sound. We all need to know that we don't deserve grace. God is good and he is faithful. President Obama touched my heart.
I love what Questlove said: He just went to E flat like he was collaborating with Stevie Wonder and Jam and Lewis. May God bless this man and the United States of America.
Sydney, Australia.
2022 and he is still the gold standard of Presidents.
Wow...No words...but Amazing Grace
That's one bad ass brother right there.... through political opposition at every turn... Accepting blame as he says "The buck stops with me".... His wife and daughters have to be proud ... more than proud.... His eulogy included all the victims.... His eulogy included all of South Carolina and America.... What more can the American people want in their president? Grace to all the victims and blessings to the shooter. I fail the families of the victims as I know I could never forgive this act of hate. This helps me realize I need to re-evaluate the faith I grew up with as I have veered away due to being exposed to the evil men do.... I see the good folk of the victims are what I hope to one day be....
Mane Flemming God bless you, brother. God bless us all.
He will go in history as one of the greatest leaders of our time.
Let's not get carried away....
Lmao nah that might depend on who is asked !!

Watching this again almost a year and a half later, and ten minutes in I am already crying like a baby. This was such a beautiful service and a powerful eulogy by our great President. I feel especially sad knowing that our country is going from the wonderful and wise Barack Obama to someone like Donald Trump. With the increase in hate crimes since the election I fear another terrible tragedy like this is bound to happen, and I shudder to think of how Trump will handle it. Certainly not with grace and such respect for those whose lives were lost. I don't think I could even stomach listening to him, knowing how insincere his words would be. We must hold Trump accountable for the lies and empty words he speaks, and try not to let him destroy the legacy of President Obama.
After much therapy and of coming out a very dark place; At the time, this shooting took place in the AME church I was on my knees spiritually and the Lord guided stay away from the news. I have now watched this sobering speech today. I am thankful that I can apply the advice. Thanks the Lord!
THIS is what an American President sounds like. This is a MAN. This is one who speaks with us as Americans must be spoken with. THIS is character and integrity peronafied. Thank you sir for all that.
