Part 1 is mostly accidental stuff and their reactions to it. As the series goes on, that ratio of accidental to purposeful shenanigans shifts significantly the other way, lol. Sua tends to be the main instigator but all of them have their moments. Handong also does a good bit of instigating as well. Even though she's "quieter" about it she does have the nickname "Supreme Pervert" for a reason. Insomnicsy has a video specifically about that topic and they're all aware that it's her nickname. Sua even has Handong listed in her phone as Supreme Pervert.
That sounds hilarious! And thank you for your comment. We will keep our eye on SuA 👀 But the "Supreme Pervert" had us rolling. We can't wait to see how she has earned this nickname 😁
For pronunciation issues it's hard to beat having a Chinese member whose real personal name is Dong (동) when "poop" in Korean is ddong (똥). She can't hear or pronounce the difference like most of us non-native Korean speakers.
Yes, this series does contain quite a few ... unfortunate... use of words. And good pickup that while some of them are unintentional, others are VERY much intentional 😅 Also, good pickup that it's usually the same few people who instigate these things. With Dreamcatcher I would say it's the unnie line: Jiu, Sua, Siyeon. When these 3 are together, stuff like this tends to happen 😊 Tip: While watching these, it's also funny to note how often Gahyeon is the 3rd wheel. The one caught in the middle.
It's very easy to get in trouble with Korean because of all the words that sound like very different words. Handong's first name is a perfect example. Dong pronounced slightly wrong becomes the Korean word for poop. It does make the language very rich in puns, plus it's the basis for all of Jiu's Dad jokes.
Yes, exactly! And thank you for pointing out the - shall we say, "complication" - with Handong's name. The Korean language definitely seems to be rich in puns 🤭
JiU acted in a series for something like half an episode; she played a very pleasant convenience store clerk. Like so many other people, the group was really bored during lockdown so they made a two-episode parody of a show that was pretty big at the time (too bad Han Dong was not with them when they did it but she was stuck in China). They did all the production themselves and they even did the backing soundtrack themselves, plus the (comedic) acting. Yoohyeon can actually pretend to be a B****, which surprised me. We know she is actually a real sweetheart so she did really well pulling off that role. I think maybe it was SuA who had some amount of acting but I can't remember. I know that she trained the longest of all the members and at one point she was a break-dancer for part of the stuff she did in a different company before she joined Happyface Entertainment. I don't remember if Siyeon has done any acting outside of the parody, because all she has ever wanted to do was to sing (and with great reason, obviously). I think Han Dong might have acting under her belt but I don't know specifics. I know her FAVORITE stage play was 'Cats', it was the first thing she saw at an Opera house when she was little. I don't know about the rest of the members having any acting experiences besides the parody.

I'd say everyone is an instigator, each in her own way, except Gahyeon. She tries to be a voice of reason and is the main defender of the group's image. JiU seems so innocent and childlike, but this very thing is basically just her having fun and not caring beyond that, so things happen. SuA is very physical, and was called "butt hunter"; she's also pretty chaotic, though she can also be very proper at times (for example, she's pretty much the only one who cares about the hierarchy). Siyeon, similarly to JiU, just doesn't care; but she definitely looks like she knows what she's doing (at least, when she's not being confused). Handong is sassy, and is the funniest member, and wears the nickname of "supreme pervert" for reasons. Yoohyeon is a rebel, a lovable brat, and she's a 50-50 mixture of extreme shyness and blatant forwardness (I don't know how it makes sense, but there it is). And Dami is more subtle; while normally the most reserved member, has her moments.
🤣🤣 The "everyone is an instigator" had us cracking up! And it is clear from your description, that it holds true. We can't wait to get to know these incredible ladies and see for ourselves 😁
How is Sua the "only one" who cares about the hierarchy? Just because she's more up-front about it doesn't mean the rest of the unnie line lets the younger members get away with speaking casual lol. There are so many clips that showcases this
@@exessen1684 Siyeon does, up to a point, but she's not very serious about it. JiU points it out, but is totally unserious about it, she just finds it hilarious. Handong is Chinese and couldn't care less. Yoohyeon is the main offender, so she can't complain. And the only one Dami could lord over is Gahyeon, and I've never seen it happen.

I think you asked something and I roughly didn't find anyone explained. Gahyeon said 보라색 a.k.a bora saeg (g as the end pronounced as k). Bora means purple and saek means colour, but she "stylised" her pronunciation so it sounds like sex in English. And more interesting that Bora is SuA's real name, plus even Siyeon said on the radio the first time she met SuA she literally said WOW because of the tight outfit (I don't wanna explain why and how but I guess everyone most likely know), so it can be dangerous even more 😅 Also -ssi after name usually added to call someone in polite formal way, and foot in korean is bal. Also shibal is a curse word so Gahyeon said Lee Siyeon's foot sounds like probably equivalent to f u Lee Siyeon. Spoiler in another part, SuA literally said shibal when playing guess the word game when the actual word is shinbal (again, bal for the foot, shin is means a word that together with bal means equivalent to slippers, shoes, or anything we wear for foot). N meets B turned into M, and both M and B are lip-based character, so shinbal and shibal are the "same" if we only see the mouth and lips
Thank you for those explanations! We knew that 보라색 meant the color purple, but you filled in the reason why it was so funny, completing the picture for us. We appreciate that so much! And we also appreciated your explanation of the foot/curse word situation. That seems to come up a lot! Only one of us is familiar with Korean curse words, so your explanation was VERY helpful 😁
@@hallyureviewsus but maybe it's just my hypothesis, bcs SuA also the one who wanna keep the hierarchy so calling out older member (real) name without "unnie" is impolite. Maybe the reason for SuA is more to that case, but since it's a video of unfiltered theme, I brought to the direction of that stylised Korean sounds like a dangerous English word. Also the fact that SuA was sitting close to Gahyeon and slapped Gahyeon in the end, it can be either way

I don't think any one member is an instigator, it's just that the more of them that congregate the chaos goes up exponentially! That being said, I think Handong and Dami are the most cheeky members and like messing with the other members. I think quite a few of them cuss off camera and so they have a harder time not cussing on camera. 😂 They actually do a have a reality show that they did on their channel called Dreamcatcher's Mind and in episodes 3 and 4 they are in a haunted hospital which was a lot of fun! The also have an episode where they just drink and play drinking games.
Fair point! They definitely seem like they enjoy one another's company, which most likely leads to some shenanigans 😁 Oh, Dreamcatcher's Mind Ep 3-4 sounds PERFECT for Halloween! We're compiling our list of K-pop haunted episodes for our October reactions and this one just got added. Thank you 😆
