I hope you enjoy the vibe of this video. Wanted to change it up slightly. Let me know!
Robin James amazing I will try label m for prestyler then arcadian clay pomade. can't wait for sunday....
Robin James I have a few personal questions about my hair Robin that I’m really desperate to know😞 is there anyway I can contact you? Thankyou
Great video man can you do a video on how to keep long hair up
It’s quite helpful and excited to give it a go with a pre-styler. You said they overlap a bit: can there be a chart for that? Or is it negligible (other than Bumble and Bumble)?
No blumaan 😿
2:27 did my guy just say 235 Celsius what are you using to dry your hair? A jet engine
Every Category:
Robin: "This is my favorite category for my hair."
I feel it! It's hard to choose!
Finally, a guy who has fine hair doing styling vids
I never comment on youtube channel but as a 26 year old male still trying to figure out his hair, thank you so much. Very informative unlike other channels
Love the vlog/casual style.
Could you do others like this for best hair products you've tried. eg. Clay/Pomade.
I've been waiting for a video on this topic for a long time! Thank you for another great video, Robin.
Glad you liked it.
Robin, I was searching for pre stylers and geez was I happy to see YOU had a video on this. Always supporting you brotha! thanks for the awesome stuff. Hope you are genuinely doing well!
Really enjoy this format. It’s much more laid back and relaxing and again, your voice is just that cherry on top.
What a great video! Very informative. You are my favorite youtuber for hairstyling. Have learned so much from you and still learning. Thank you!
Fantastic video, I love the spectacles you are wearing.
Hi Robin, another entertaining and informative video. You have a great personality and passion for what you do. I wish nothing but the best for you.
perfect video since ive been looking for a good prestyler...
thx :)
I loved this video! very good explanation! Thank you very much!! one question; have you tried the sea salt spray from Pete and Pedro?
Perfect timing! I have been trying to figure out what I should use for curly hair. If I do not use anything or if I do not use the correct product before blowdrying my hair develops a big wave that drives me crazy. So, thank you!
thanks for this informative video. i never use pre-stylers but now thinking about it. love this format - feels more intimate. cheers from frozen NYC!
Excellent Robin 👍🏻
Great information ☝️
Cheers 🍻
thank you so much this! it was so informative
Awesome video bro I really love this content I'm always confused about pre-styler which one is best thank you bro making for this video 🙌🙌
Thanks Abhishek.
You make the absolute best tutorials and reviews on RUclips Robin..keep it up! Can I use the Nioxin thickening gel as an every day prestyler before I use the hairdryer, then style with a paste?
Hi Robin, great video as usual! I have problems with hold and that's, I think, because I have fine hair so I need something extra, apart from prestyler-hairdryer-post styler combo, like a hairspray. A video about hairsprays would really help me. Thank you,Robin!
Sea salt spray is my absolute favourite. It works great for thin hair and gives me a lot of volume and thickening. Great video as always Robin, cheers.
awesome video robin love ur content :')
Awesome video robin really helpful😊
Loved the video ! Very informative
Informative to the point kudos!! Keep it up
Another great video! Kove the new sorta format
i really enjoyed that video, definitely learnt something as i never really knew what the difference was between them all and never took the time to really read them when your standing in boots after work looking for something to do your hair the next morning lol.
Glad this was of use, Richard.
You definitely know your stuff. And have the coolest hair. I am always aiming to get mine like that. Thank you for all your input. Regarding everything from what to use and how to use it. Means I am getting quicker and using far less products to get the result I am after!
I just got into hair style and products.. been learning SO much from you Robin, thank you. Im growing my hair out now so I can try these big voluminous quiffs and slick backs, just play around to see what i like. My hair is very coarse and dry and only about 3 inches long on top so I've been using a Frizz Ease hair serum with heat protectant to smooth the hair, then some Volumizing mousse to get as much height as i can with my hair length and I havent quite found the perfect final styling product but I've just been using drug store and salon shop brands locally. But the best so far is Redken Brews Clay.
amazing video man....wanted to know what's your favourite season of the year!!
Brilliant video, Quick question if i use oil based pomade would using the label M grooming cream as a pre styler for smoothing be good?.
Love your videos man! Watching you since your first video on claymation! I bought claymation in the summer and it was amazing back then, now it’s not going well for my hair anymore. Nothing has changed in my hair. I’ve ordered original by blumaan to see how much hype that’s about by I loved claymation when it was working :(
Keep dem vids comin👌🏼
Always appreciate your style/hair advice, just a shame that as someone with quite thick hair and as a novice when it comes to hair I still find myself struggling.
So good! Thank you
I would love to see you include chapter hair cream in a review or brand battle!
Great video about Pre Stylers, I think it’s the one with more information here in YT.
In my case, I’ve tried a few and my favourite is a Mousse that gives me real big volume and has a really good hold (I Tried one from VO5 but wasn’t really good like this)
The I’ve been using 2 sprays. One Is for repairing hair and the other one is for shine and smooth your hair but I can say much about this one because I bought It recently.
Still I haven’t found a Sea Salt Spray here where I Live. Hope one day can find it (although my hair is kinda wavy)
Hi Robin - thanks so much for posting this. Can you point me to a video you've done which explains at which point in the styling process you apply mousse? I've been using some mousse to try and add volume for ages but not really sure I'm doing it right. Thanks!!!
Hey Robin I've got one question. Need your answers on that. I've got soft, healthy and strong hair. But when I point my phone flash on top of my head. I'm able to see little bit of my scalp. Is that a problem? Or is it normal? Hope I'll get a reply :)
Very helpful thank you
I have very fine straight hair and I found that gel is the best thing for a pre-styler
Great vid. Can you use a volume mouse aswell as a thickening tonic or would they counteract eachother? Thanks!
You should do a chaptr styling cream review! I have really fine hair and I want to know if it’s for me.
Robin, your thoughts about Aesop skincare products. Thank you :)
Great video! My favourite pre styler is not even advertised as one. Hanz de fuko sponge wax. Is simple, light, easy to apply and gives a really nice boost to the hair. Blumaan meraki didn't work for me at all.
Hair products, hair products everywhere...😂😂....but very helpful... Love you Robby...
Robin I get it and you seem like a good dude. I am thinking most of those products would go rancid before you used them up. Channels great keep it up.
Man, just from seeing the 1:30 part it tells me you live with it!
Robin try daimon barbers texture tonic. Great stuff
Awesome video! Have you heard much about the new Beckham products? Starting to look very interesting, be good to hear your thoughts!
Bro I want you to ask you Aveda tonic have heat protection and also good for dry hair I'm planning to buy this product 🤔
Thank you very much for your help! #ManForHimself
Thanks for this video! You really opened my eyes to more products for the hair!
I'm an Asian with fine and somewhat thin hair, i don't feel my hair dropping more than usual, just that since young i have a flat and limp crop and high forehead so i think i need volume and maybe texture? I have been introduced to Sea Salt Sprays which works well usually but just wondering if i should add in the volumizing and/or thickening to my regime?
And if i were to add them in, how should i go about applying them? understand that thickening is also to work onto damp hair before blow drying, sea salt spray is somewhat similar to that. Can i add them both before blow drying or is there any sequence to this? or should i only use one or the other and not both at the same time? Appreciate your kind response to this!
Thanks in advance :)
Hey Robin, great vid! Took me a while to realize I had fine hair like yours. Nioxin has made a huge difference on my hair- it feels and looks different. I'm wondering if using Nioxin has changed the type of products and haircuts you get (do you still get the same cut measurements and do you still avoid thinning shears?)
Does nioxin make your hair thicker?
And that’s my kind of a video!!
Robin James please do a vidéo about smouthing a frisy hair...
Love the retro chair!
what do you think about Bona Fide Texture Spray? I think it's pretty good as a prestyling product.
how long does a bottle of the aveda last when used every single day? im looking for an alternative to sea salt spray as it dries the hair a lot i think
Would you be able to combine any of the products above? I have fine, thinning hair so would the use of a mousse and thickening tonic be beneficial? Hope you can reply!
Im 23 and Im still learning how to best manage my hair. I watched this video months ago but didnt bother with a pre styler till now. I've let my hair grow on top quite a bit and I have thick unruly hair, hopefully a pre styler will help me manage this! Currently rocking a pompadour so wish me luck with my voyage LOL
catchthespacemetal let me know how
It goes ... I also have thick unruly hair and I’m about try a pre styler for the first time so I’d love to hear your experience about it
@@thecrowvideos70 I'm using Paul Mitchell's super skinny serum as a prestyler right now and its helped manage it a lot. When my hair dries its really poofy and thick but when I use this it tames it enough so I can style it easier with the actual product. Ive been using lockhart's and right now Im waiting for grim grease heavy hold (the water based one) since I've heard its good with thick unmanageable hair
how many prestylers can be used together at once? I intend to use mousse and thickening tonic at once. Is that fine ?
Robin! Just a quick question, if I have hair oil and a grooming tonic, should I apply them both or when should I just apply one of them? When should I use tonic and when should I use hair oil?
Nice video 👌
Can you review the Diamon Barber texture tonic?
Hey robin what would be the best of these products if I'm going for your go-to quiff (like the one in this video not your old huge quiff haha)? I have fine hair like yours.
Plz give a review for set wet hair wax
Can I use 2 pre-stylers like first mousse for volume and then sea salt spray for texture and defination?
Hey Robin, did you ever try products of PhillipB? This brand is a bit more expensive but in my view his products are absolutely worth the price, besides he only uses natural ingridents.
Just bought the aveda thickening tonic. Can you tell me if you use it on damp or wet hair?
What products did you have in your hair for this video?? Awesome volume
Tnx
Sea salt spray vs Thickening tonic for Volume and prestyler ?
I have thin hair (lots of hair just thin strands) that flies away so I need lots of finishing spray that I want to thicken with thickening cream but I also want the volume mousse gives me... could I prestyle with BOTH products? I typically use a heat protecting spray and then mousse but is it common to use like three prestylers. I'm afraid to mix all 3 into my hair LOL
Your moustache is hysterical!!
What About a P&P sea salt spray review?
Hello robin. I have a question, what does hair putty do and what styles does it work best on?
Hey Robin, I have very thick and straight hair. What sort of pre-styler should I use?
can you use 2 different types of pre-stylers together? my hair has no volume and is also flyaway. Can i use mousse and thickener together?
Haha you constantly sing the praises of mousse but I don't think I'll ever be able to experience it as I have incredibly thick, coarse hair. Same for sea salt spray cause my hair is also dry. I guess that just leaves the label m cream. I'll have to try it sometime.
Can you mix pre stylers? Example using a thickening product, then a texture spray and blow drying
Can I apply argon oil before applying hair sprays or clays
Hey Rob, I have thick straight hair that borders on the dry side. I don't need anything that plumps the hair. What should I use as a prestyler to add volume, smooth it out, without adding to the thickness?
Have you looked at the by vilain sidekick Pre-Stylers?
Hey Robin! Really loved the content,Can you please check out kocaine clay? Its a new brand and it really has got amazing ingredients for the price
Hey Robin I wanted to ask you if you know if headbands cause hair loss because ever since I started using one my hairline has been looking thinner and a lil receding
The reason I don’t like mousse is because of how it leaves my hair really dry. Does that happen to you?
If I am a guy with thick hair then obviously I would have to use hair serums like Paul Mitchell’s Skinny Serum along with a heat protectant. I hate to say this but my hair feels dry after using a Mousse.
That's totally fine. Different products for different people. It's good that you know what suits you.
Mousse does leave a dry, straw-like finish.
I thought mousse would leave it feeling really natural, but it felt like I was using a wax or something, it dried horribly. Maybe depends on the hold of the mousse, but I didn't like it.
Isn't the mousse a replacement for hairspray?
Really? I have really thick hair and using original by Blumaan offered great results but I didn't get the volume I desired, but I used some mousse one day and saw that I got the volume I wanted and did not experience the straw like issue. I started using Paul Mitchell's serum along with it, but the one thing is that everytime I post style I always feel like I messed up the awesome results I got when I was pre-styling. I've only been doing this for 2 months now, but I still have no clue how Joe and Robin get these amazing results and keeping it all with the use of a post styler; wish I could get a bit of help to master that or know where I'm going wrong.
The oreal mousse is discontinued and the link for tonyeguy mousse doesn t work
What pre-styler should I put if I have ultra thick straight hair (non malleable)?
Whats a good one for thick hair
I have thick hair and I find that the sea salt spray makes my hair very dry and looks horrible after blow drying. Any pre styler you recommend for smooth bouncy hair for thick dry hair?
Can I mix thickening and smoothing pre stylers at the same time
Please make videos for best hair styles other then undercut hairstyle for thin hairs because undercut hairstyle not make good look for thin hairs please make these video as soon possible as
Those label m thickening tonic has heat protection?
I don't know why but old spice unruly paste works amazing for me 😂
Robin, help a viewer out here!
I have tried numerous different barbers and even showed them pictures of what the final style should be. (As I thought it was poor communication on my half) Yet im left with something actually very different.
Its not like my goals are unrealistic to the hair I have.
From your experience, how can I mix it up to get my desired hair style?
Thanks for your time.
Do you ever find that some days one concoction of products and drying works then others it doesn't, and something else has to be done? I get this regularly. Got a drawer full of stuff that I use at different time. Something that I sake a bit of stick off the Mrs for, saying I have more hair products than her 🙈
Are these sea Salt good for volume?
