This is a Superb life-affirming song. Best Single of all time?! This was such an important song for me. It was my introduction to DMS. This song is an act of Genius that encapsulates sheer menace and unearthed terror. Simply beautiful. p.s This song possibly saved me from terrible depression plus much worse. I will forever be grateful to Suede for everything they have done, for me to be here now and happy with life. I'm blessed :)
A shining light a band who have been consistently great from day one having watched many old reruns of top of the pops from the 90,s there was an awful lot of total dross these guys made it worth watching
I've been a fan of Suede since their "Head Music" tour when they were in Australia & hosted the music video show "Rage". I had seen their "Animal Nitrate" video multiple times before but that was when I realised how many great songs they had. Those of you living in the UK are lucky. The pig reference reminds me of the books, "Animal Farm" & "Lord of the Flies". I wonder if Brett had these in mind. This performance made me notice how good Matt's bass playing is.
It sounds if Brett's pulling it of over some backing vocal track (you can clearly hear that around 1:30 playtime) but it doesn't change the fact that it still sounds absolutely killer though. Cheers from Latvia!
@@drparnassus2867 1:30 Anderson's voice continue when his mouth leave from microphone. I heard suede thousand times when I was young, the details of this video remind me of my memory. maybe this is a mixing of album record plus some live sound, interesting.

I think he only appeared in one promo video as far as I can remember, which was for the classic single 'Stay Together'. Could be wrong though :-)
@@SamM_Scot Stay Together was recorded months before and is seen as a standalone single. Not part of the sessions for Dog Man Star.
