We criticize Konami a lot, but releasing Ninjas as a structure deck, right when people are playing Kashtira is a big win from them. They can play in the opponent's turn and punish people shotgunning Maxx C in the draw phase. People probably underestimate them because is a structure deck, but this and the Salamangreat one are very competent.
On rewatch I'm really impressed by how much you evolve the deck and improve your plays. Your gameplay at the beginning of the video is far and away different from the end. Your goals for what is mostly the same deck change significantly and I just think that's neat.
This is easily your best work Joe. I love the chapter titles as well. I still haven't played YuGiOh, but I've been watching long enough that it makes sense now 😅
I think I personally like the coins more then the gems up there. It's more interesting that way imo. Also I just want to mention that I feel that both the editing and the Joe as an entertainer have both grown a lot over this series. As for the deck itself, it seems like a pretty cool non-linear control deck. The fact it doesn't just uses generic floodgates to exert control really makes it more amusing to watch aswel. Looking forward to see what Scareclaw can do, if it has some variety or if it's doomed to do the same thing over and over again.
45:41 this was hilarious, love just how good the new editor is with these bits. You'd think that it wouldn't show the animation if it didn't banish, but I guess not lol
I really liked the fade to access code talker over firewall dragon, and then for it to stay as access code on the smaller version of the card was a nice cherry on top.
Ok this episode makes me kind of want to build a Ninja deck now. Also it was a missed opportunity to not have the fake leg show up instead of the log in the intro. Still another good episode.
A friend of mine convinced me to try and play ninjas last month. The deck is really fun, but I unfortunately posses an unnatural ability to draw Jioh going first
Thank you, Mr. Hardle G. Gaming, for another excellent video! This is the third archetype you've effectively convinced me to try out just by playing (the other two are Crystron and Ghoti; I guess I like playing on opponents' turns)!
I feel that making most of your plays on your opponent's turn isn't as egregious as building an omni-negate board. It's a bit like going second, what you do depends a lot on your opponent's actual plays instead of just what handtraps they happened to open. The plays of you and your opponent are more intertwined and don't happen as much in a vacuum.
It's funny, I feel like Kash existing has removed the one ounce of skill that went in to MAxx C - knowing when to time it to guarantee the most draws. Now you just shotgun it in draw phase and hope for the best, and then your opponent is on Lab anyway and just Thrusts for EEV so yknow, great gameplay. Loved the video, love ninjas! Even if I do open Jioh like 80% of my games...
this was such a fun ladder climb to catch live. it awesome seeing you progressively get more creative with the ninja interruptions and combos against all the crazy meta decks. havent seen you enjoy a deck so much since ghotis
Been playing Ninja since I've seen Joshua Schmidt's test list after the most recent list dropped. MD's precon deck is one of the best value decks for quick builds. Being able to get just about everything is excellent.
I'm glad I'm not the only one whose a little disappointed that a 3hr video barely scratched the surface of what Ninjas can do. It's without a doubt, one of the most synergistic decks I've ever seen, right up there with the likes of Generaider. Got a ton of success with a Vanquish Soul build for maximum tag out shenanigans.
This one a really fun ladder climb! Ninjas were fun, so much so that I gave them a try on ladder and they were great! Format sucked but I had fun! And strangely enough contrary to Hardleg here I bested more Labrynths than Kashtiras for some strange reason :p Anyway great job, and BanMaxxC
He could have OTKd in duel 10 without cross sheep. He totally had the hand to do it at 36:48. Normal summon hanzo to get iron digger. Use reinforcement of army to get cannon ninja. Discard tobari to SS Canon, which will then SS tobari from grave. SS mitsu using her own eff. Thats Canon, Hanzo, Tobari, and Mitsu on the field. XYZ summon blade armor using cannon and hanzo. Fusion Meizen using mitsu and tobari. Give Meizen iron digger. Use Blade armor's eff to make Meizen able to atk twice. Then finish them off with Blade. 8200 damage. Game.
When you talk about playing jank around 5 minutes in, I remember the days of jank like Bored To Deck. One of the things that makes me sad about the move to master duel is that there's now an actual, financial cost to play jank, since all URs in Master Duel basically cost the same. It's really frustrating because you could be paying 100+ dollars to farm all the jank you need, when the physical deck minus staples would be like 25 bucks. I'm liking the newer stuff though. Given the circumstances, you adapted, and keep making great stuff. PS: I'm feeling *HYPE* for that upcoming Scareclaw video, since I can't catch streams often.

Definitely prefer the heads and tails amount to be shown, as long as the gems spend are made clear at the end and occassionally during the episode. It's a really fun statistic that shows how going first or second can affect the strategy
I think "hold the line" is basically how easily cards in a pack can keep monsters on the feild. Weather it means various effects that keep them from being destroyed/ banished/bounced, or if a deck can *immediately* summon monsters if the ones on the feild were destroyed
I didn't expect a 3 hour journey to becoming Hokage in my YT feed today....but I don't regret it. I will also say that this deck REALLY made me want to use Ninjas, just as an excuse to use main deck book of moon.

Yes, I think a masochist is lots of fun. I did one masochist* (on my main account, keeping the cards I got using Gage technology aka prints). Lots of fun weird sht. Like when I goddess revenged this guy for 8 and still lost. Or when I shut generaiders completely down, with a Tearlament MST, and they proceeded to brick for 4 turns. Or when a salad player after drawing 5 was confused 'why Access no destroy timelord' and shame scooped, I was honestly about to scoop, he had an entire board (which i had no hope of outing) and threw it away to make accesscode. I am currently on Plat V, having climbed since rookie, and I am sure if I will keep going since its like 11 to the end of season and plat is kinda grindy.
I almost liked Ninjas but dropping them because I kept drawing Jioh every game. It's a shame because the rest of the new support is so well designed but drawing Jioh is like an automatic loss. No idea why they made their most important card a garnet. They really need a good spell that can shuffle ninjas back from hand to search or special summmon Hanzo.. Jioh should have just had that effect included to begin with.
I've found Kagero and Tobari can be good ways to get Jioh out of the hand(whether by summoning it or using it as Fusion fodder), but I don't like playing more than 1 Jioh because of how bricky it can be. You always want to play 3 Tobari because that one's potential with Duplication, but Kagero can vary between 1-3 based on personal preference. I like 2 of that one because of its aformentioned value in unbricking hands, but it can't special others of itself so you don't want to brick on a pair or even trio of them if you can avoid it.
@@metalmariomegaThe downside with 1 Jioh is that even if you're less likely to draw it, when you do draw your 1 copy, you can no longer use Jioh as disruption unless they literally have no other way to deal with it besides attacking. Kagero and Scroll summons facedown only, and the cards that summon face up only summon Ninjas from the deck.
Summoning it off Tobari can be nice if your going 2nd but I'd much rather use the extra summon on something else, and you would need to just hard draw Duplication if you summon Kagero and set Jioh or they can't actually do anything. Either way Jioh is not only a dead card in hand but drawing it shuts off your best form of interaction by summoning it on your opponents turn. The ratios for the ninjas don't really matter outside of 3 Tobari and 3 Hanzo, you just really need to draw Hanzo instead of Jioh or it doesn't work.. Hopefully they get a few more consistency tools in the future. It sucks because you kind of need to run 2 just in case but then your likely to have a dead card in hand.. and I've still drawn both of them a few times. The master duel shuffler doesn't seem to work something.
What do you mean by "the last set up?" Do you want to know the final deck list? Because I post that at the end of the video. There's time codes and such.
I would have been livid had we not heard at least one Naruto sound effect before this video ended. You have done well this month, Joe of the hard legs.
3 Upstart Golden Ninjas and max out on the ninjitsu art traps. It's not a hard once per turn and you can add traps back with Secret Village or Baku. The problem with combo ninjas is that you actually want to keep most of your monster zones open. I normally just go through Isolde, Saizo, and Cross Sheep to get extra searches and then end on Apollousa, Meizen, and the 2 main traps.

i would LOVE another masochist series:) watched all the vods of Manser VODS streams
Can you make a hardleg playmat with all the memes you have said on it?? ( well the majority)
What are all my memes? I don't feel like I have any.
Hmmmmm why was there a SR Access Code Talker???
A good UR farm pack is the speedroid pack. It gives out DDD URs like crazy
The peasants were on top this time (because ninjas were basically peasants and farmers)
Amazing opening this month 😭
I would have been livid had we not heard at least one Naruto sound effect before this video ended. You have done well this month, Joe of the hard legs.
Hard leg found his ninja way
I'm trying to figure out a way to make a good ninja deck with isolde
3 Upstart Golden Ninjas and max out on the ninjitsu art traps. It's not a hard once per turn and you can add traps back with Secret Village or Baku.
The problem with combo ninjas is that you actually want to keep most of your monster zones open. I normally just go through Isolde, Saizo, and Cross Sheep to get extra searches and then end on Apollousa, Meizen, and the 2 main traps.
New viewer whos got back into YuGioH , loved this video , if Morphtronic hasnt been done would love that especially using clocken for wins !!
Glad you liked the video! Wouldn't expect Morphtronics anytime soon though. Patrons choose the decks and they've shown no interest in that archetype
@@HardlegGaming never any love for morphtronics 😂 should start throwing suttle suggestions. Love the content pal. Looking forward to diving in more
The issue these days with morphtronic is that it's always just some infinite combo with telefon
Hold the line= the amount of disruption it's endboard puts up.
