      That is my dream house, a house with an enclosed porch to watch the storms on! My mom and I once lived in a house that she rented with an enclosed porch, and we would sit in it with a lit candle and just watch the storms, Idaho has some of the most beautiful thunderstorms! One time a man was walking down the street and saw us, our faces lit by the candlelight, and jumped out of his skin thinking we were ghosts, he had to take a minute to compose himself before he continued on walking, we had the biggest laugh afterwards! 🤣

    That is the Dallas storm that killed a person yesterday! I think others were injured too, a crane was blown into apartments.

      It has been insane. They blocked the Walmart off and were towing remaining cars out of the parking lot, police had streets closed with down powerlines, tree limbs downed everywhere some on powerlines (electrocution hazard), plus the power outage which they've stopped giving us time estimates for. Husband works in Mesquite which has power, he was able to take my phone with him to get it charged some. Yesterday we went to a resturaunt who I was able to use their wifi to upload this video, I didn't even have phone service for hours. The dogs are at least quite comfortable, blissfully unaware of everything that is happening, so that's been the upside of it for me lol.

    This just came up in my recommended. Holy cow! You sure there wasn't a tornado nearby? That's a LOT of debris flying through the air!

    • @aphyngodiva2551
      @aphyngodiva2551  3 года назад

      Yep I'm sure! I was actually scared about it being that at the time, but wasn't hearing the tornado sirens or getting weather alerts on the phone or anything, I was still like: with this kind of wind, idk o.o
      It was a really, really bad thunderstorm with 70 mph winds that actually knocked a crane over and killed one person, injured six! Here's an article on it here: www.dallasnews.com/news/weather/2019/06/10/29-year-old-woman-killed-5-injured-after-storm-topples-crane-into-old-east-dallas-apartments/
      I've lived here for about 5 years now and we've only had one close call with a tornado, they were forecasting that it would come through Dallas but it ended up losing steam and didn't. For some reason we always get lucky, aside from the other storms wreaking havoc of course! We had one last month with golf ball sized hail pelleting our windows, I'm still surprised no windows were broken but others had them come through their roofs, windows, and cars. It gets crazy here!

      @Alboito Einstinio nope, just a severe thunderstorm

    • @KoId.
      @KoId. 3 года назад

      @Alboito Einstinio mmm nahh, but I find it hard to believe u were a meteorologist for 25 years because u saying that this storm is a cat 5 hurricane when it’s really just a severe thunderstorm is kinda dumb. The winds aren’t even close to a cat 5’s and u can also hear thunder and see a lightning strike every now and then, hurricanes don’t have much lightning and thunder, the only place where that happens are the rain bands. And when the eye wall is developing

    • @tvold9204
      @tvold9204 2 года назад

      @@KoId. Yeah intensifying tcs tend to have a lot of eye wall lightning, that's from first hand cat 4 experience!

      @@aphyngodiva2551 Yeah i havent seen 70 MPH winds since hurricane irma tore through my area in 2017 with gusts up to 160!
      The other time that i can recall was a storm that hit me with 90 MPH wind gusts in 2016 january.
      Might have happened other times to me but i cant recall.
      70 MPH winds are STRONG!
      Wow!
      Amazing footage!
