My favourite supermarket is Metro in Canada, I can't afford to shop there anymore, so I shop Walmart grocery pick up, Freshco a discount chain in Ontario, Dollarama , a dollar store in Canada and even Amazon to keep my food bill down. And a Cafe inside? Not a chance 😂 kind of jealous seriously 😂❤

St Michel all-butter biscuits from Brittany France, I think, are delicious (shown just before 20:00 in your video). In US they cost well over $5 per box as imported cookies are priced quite high. Miratorg has very tasty pork sauasges and cold cut meats, we have them here in Dubai! Much tastier and less salty compared to other known brands ! By the way they have the largest black angus cows farm in the world some years back they had 500000 cows !

Russell, greetings from Florida!! I am so impressed with this supermarket chain!! It reminds me of the shops I used to visit in the downtown area in Calgary, Canada. The layout for the shops is very similar. No one wants to go outside in the winter time, so there is a level or 2 of shops and restaurants on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the skyscrapers. Miratog is a beautiful, very elegant market! I am surprised that the prices are no different than outside the city. Good onya with the video!!!

IMHO almost every minimarket (or supermarket like russians call them here in Russia) have similar number of goods like it is in Moscow in every town or village with population of 5000 or close to it...Smaller number of goods possible only in vilages of 1000 or less.

The alcohol section being open is amazing. In the USA many expensive brands are behind locked doors; you can’t just grab a bottle, you need to run around and look for someone to open it for you. Even then they won’t just hand you the bottle you picked, you will need to pick it up and pay at the checkout. I’m in central Florida and it looks very similar. There are cameras and theft detectors in places like Walmart but everything else looks much the same Edit: I’ll add that the setup of supermarket into cafe into exit is far less common. Places like target have Starbucks in them, but their theft detectors are at the exit so there isn’t any risk of someone leaving through a Starbucks with unpaid groceries

The beef tenderloin in Russia is around CAD14-16/kg. Can you imagine? And this summer we managed to get it for CAD10 at the local market not far from Moscow. The guy was about to close his store and he appeared to be so kind to give us that great discount.

Лучше настолько, что я ем в принципе те же продукты, но 1) они вкуснее, 2) ничего не делая, я всегда теряю в весе в России. Там нет стероидов и ГМО в продуктах, как в США. Особенно люблю приезжать летом. Фрукты и овощи - это что-то!!! Даже типа фермерские продукты в США без ГМО не идут в сравнение с российскими. Вкус у американских пластмассовый, что у обычных, что у «натуральных» / organic. Как в анекдоте - не знаю, почему у них цена разная, из одной бочки наливали.

Если заметили, в Москве появилось много свежезамороженной рыбы по ценам дешевле красного мяса. При этом сама Москва находится за тысячи километров от всех морей, хотя и является их портом. Такую рыбу, за сутки перед готовкой перекладываете из морозилки в обычную камеру холодильника, она размораживается и её не отличить от свежевыловленной. Россия построила много рыболовецких судов с рыбозаводами на борту, где улов правильно обрабатывается и запаковывается.
Нет, не заметили. Совсем наоборот. В Москве ни в одном магазине нет и не было хорошей рыбы по приемлемой цене. То же самое касается всей остальной продукции рыбоперерабатывающей отрасли, включая икру, печень трески и прочее. Поделитесь информацией, где конкретно в Москве, по вашему мнению, можно купить рыбу и продукты из неё, чтобы они были съедобные и стоили меньше крыла самолёта. Заранее благодарю.
@@natalyar3718 покупаю у дома, в магазине Да. Горбуша потрошеная без головы, в морозилке в упаковке 400 рублей за кг. Очень нравится. Могу сравнивать с турецкой свежевыловленной горбушей в Турции, там она была чуть дешевле, но качество такое же.
В Москве нет морских портов и морские суда туда не заходят , тем более траулеры . Всю рыбу в основном доставляют по суше из морских портов Питера и Мурманска . Так же в этих портах швартуются и дальневосточные суда . А доставка через речной канал , где речные суда ждут часами , а то и сутками когда откроются шлюзы , слишком не рентабельна и убыточна .

Продуктовые магазины бывают заполнены перед новым годом или еще перед какими либо праздниками , в воскресенье вечером , так как семьи могут покупать продукты на неделю. А так , в каждом ЖК есть обычно несколько продуктовых магазинов , в которые всегда можно забежать по дороге с работы домой , если что-то нужно

Russell, greetings from Florida!! I am so impressed with this supermarket chain!! It reminds me of the shops I used to visit in the downtown area in Calgary, Canada. The layout for the shops is very similar. No one wants to go outside in the winter time, so there is a level or 2 of shops and restaurants on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the skyscrapers. Miratog is a beautiful, very elegant market! I am surprised that the prices are no different than outside the city. Good onya with the video!!!

IMHO almost every minimarket (or supermarket like russians call them here in Russia) have similar number of goods like it is in Moscow in every town or village with population of 5000 or close to it...Smaller number of goods possible only in vilages of 1000 or less.

The alcohol section being open is amazing. In the USA many expensive brands are behind locked doors; you can’t just grab a bottle, you need to run around and look for someone to open it for you. I’m in central Florida and it looks very similar. There are cameras and theft detectors in places like Walmart but everything else looks much the same
Edit: I’ll add that the setup of supermarket into cafe into exit is far less common. Places like target have Starbucks in them, but their theft detectors are at the exit so there isn’t any risk of someone leaving through a Starbucks with unpaid groceries

Когда я бываю дома в России, я хожу по магазинам. Ни разу не было случая, чтобы я что-то не нашла. Есть все! И качество продуктов лучше, чем в США- я только с США могу сравнивать. Лучше настолько, что я ем в принципе те же продукты, но 1) они вкуснее, 2) ничего не делая, я всегда теряю в весе в России. Там нет стероидов и ГМО в продуктах, как в США. Особенно люблю приезжать летом. Фрукты и овощи - это что-то!!! Даже типа фермерские продукты в США без ГМО не идут в сравнение с российскими. Вкус у американских пластмассовый, что у обычных, что у «натуральных» / organic. Как в анекдоте - не знаю, почему у них цена разная, из одной бочки наливали.

Если заметили, в Москве появилось много свежезамороженной рыбы по ценам дешевле красного мяса. При этом сама Москва находится за тысячи километров от всех морей, хотя и является их портом. Такую рыбу, за сутки перед готовкой перекладываете из морозилки в обычную камеру холодильника, она размораживается и её не отличить от свежевыловленной. Россия построила много рыболовецких судов с рыбозаводами на борту, где улов правильно обрабатывается и запаковывается.
На 9:56 минуте Рассел прошел мимо рыбной полки - она оказалась даже в Мираторге, который специализируется на мясе 😀
Нет, не заметили. Совсем наоборот. В Москве ни в одном магазине нет и не было хорошей рыбы по приемлемой цене. То же самое касается всей остальной продукции рыбоперерабатывающей отрасли, включая икру, печень трески и прочее. Поделитесь информацией, где конкретно в Москве, по вашему мнению, можно купить рыбу и продукты из неё, чтобы они были съедобные и стоили меньше крыла самолёта. Заранее благодарю.
@@natalyar3718 покупаю у дома, в магазине Да. Горбуша потрошеная без головы, в морозилке в упаковке 400 рублей за кг. Очень нравится. Могу сравнивать с турецкой свежевыловленной горбушей в Турции, там она была чуть дешевле, но качество такое же.
В Москве нет морских портов и морские суда туда не заходят , тем более траулеры . Всю рыбу в основном доставляют по суше из морских портов Питера и Мурманска . Так же в этих портах швартуются и дальневосточные суда . А доставка через речной канал , где речные суда ждут часами , а то и сутками когда откроются шлюзы , слишком не рентабельна и убыточна .

Недавно покупал мороженые безголовые тушки хека, каждая была обернута в целлофан. Это удивило. Такое раньше никогда не встречал. Сама рыба после разморозки оказалась свежайшая, воды с трёх рыбок натекло пару столовых ложек. То есть пленка вместо льда позволяет не возить и не покупать воду

А так , в каждом ЖК есть обычно несколько продуктовых магазинов , в которые всегда можно забежать по дороге с работы домой , если что-то нужно

@OldLibertyBelle Some of the buildings have mixed use. There are a few buildings build as residential, but there not cheap compared to living somewhere else in Moscow and commute in via the metro trains.

Есть. Правда, у нас в Ярике они резко отказались принимать наличку. Как мне сказала продавец, это из-за очередного финта ушами нашего любимого правительства, которое что-то там мутит с вводом бумажных десяток (и чуть ли не пятерок).

@@Iren_Camomile я чаще всего хожу в Пятёрочку, она ближе к дому. И там вечно одна-две кассы работают, даже в час пик. Экономят на зарплате персонала, гады. Только терминалы и спасают, иначе усохнешь в очереди стоять.

Там просто з/п маленькая. А в других городах она меньше чем в Москве. И так по всем супермаркетам. Наверное продавцов не хватает.
Я зашел в «Мини-Ленту», купил там выпивку, а еще встретил подписчика канала, пока был в очереди для оплаты. Лента была немного дезорганизована. Но такое же ощущение у меня и к «Ленте» в Апрелевке, где я живу.

We don't have standarts for organic food. Product can have "organic" mark, but it can be just marketing trick.
in the US organic pasture raised eggs (the best) costs 10 dollars for 12 .
Most of the products produced in Russia are organic.
