Immediately I saw the level of the water in the blender, relative to the beans level, I said 😳 😅 Next time, aim for the water to be half, or maximum two-thirds the level of your beans. After blending, fill your pan with the oil deep enough to allow the balls to poof without the oil spilling out. Then (very important) whisk the batter for 2 to 3 minutes, drop a piece of onion in the oil to check the temperature and fry on medium low. If the temperature of the oil and texture of the batter are right, the balls will puff up when they hit the oil. Per the friendship thing - you are so right, and we are all guilty.
