The New Mutants issue shown in this was the one that got me into Sienkiewicz. For the whole month after I bought the comic, I just looked at it figuring out if I liked it or not. I wasn’t sure what to do with the artwork at the time. All I knew was that no one else was doing what he was.
To Bill Sienkiewicz: I personally love your art! I really liked what you did during your New Mutants Run. I've gone back to buy the Epic Collections of your Moon Knight run. I love your Batman work.
I really love the longer videos you have been putting out over this last month. Thank you. Also love the part of the videos where we get to see you actually working in creating your art.
I suspect he and Alex Ross have both hired the same media manager because this is the fourth time that he and Alex have both dropped new content simultaneously. It would also explain the longer format videos we're getting now. Which is great.
Sienkiewicz would've totally killed it on Uncanny X-Men issue after issue, month after month had he not declined the offer to illustrate Marvel's number one title on a regular basis following his incredible run collaborating with Doug Moench on Moon Knight in both the Hulk! magazine as well as the ongoing Moon Knight title itself. (Sienkiewicz did, however, tackle Marvel's merry mutants by illustrating Uncanny X-Men #159 and Uncanny X-Men Annual #6 in 1982, as well as the cover for the Dark Phoenix Saga trade paperback in 1984.)
0:40 IT's not LAZY...it's organic! Live!
7:07 "He cast a big shlong shadow". Yep, that was Neal.
“Like theater, not like tv” goddamn, that sums up the whole style. Brilliant
When I saw your New mutants run in the late 90s I had to look for all the issues to see the amazing art.
Another fantastic interview! I'll never, ever grow tired of watching Sienkiewicz's interviews on his channel!
I remember following this change in real time. It kept me buying comics.
You are one of the true legends Bill, thank you for staying true to yourself.
Genius - so grateful for Bill’s art in this world
A well timed drop. Thank you.
You helped me, a young kid reading comic books, mature in my appreciation of art. Thanks!

Always interesting
I firmly believe mike Dringenberg was influenced by new mutants when he was doing Sandman.
