- We are back in Kangaroo Flat, but this time without a car. We hit the single trails on the mountain bike to go deep into the bush. Hopefully we will be able to find something good before the bad weather hits.

Nice one Pete bike riding and detecting and lots of hot rocks and some precious what a day.
It was good fun, I'll have to do it again soon and hopefully get a couple more nuggets.
Beaut little bits there. Makes riding the bike worth the effort

Yeah didn't get out until 2pm so the mountain bike got me there quicker. You know those digging you pass out mountain bike riding and you think if only, well chuck the detector in a backpack and good to go.

Thanks Ant, It was a quick arvo session and it was good picking a couple of nuggets. I was lucky the rain didn't get heavy, there was no where to hide from it.

another totally enjoyable video Pete, got to hate those hot rocks and especially the mineralised ground noise it wastes so much of my time when i hit that stuff, love the gold you found great work.
Thanks Neil, glad you enjoyed it. The hot rocks and ground are a pain but you just have to work through it as some of those sounds improve and turn out to be gold.

I find it quite frustrating watching our regional friends having fun whilst we hide from the police helicopter here in Melbourne. At least I am pigging out on my homemade sausage rolls today!

That pick has history Ron, it dug up a 2oz nugget in about 1983, had to pack light and that's the best little pick i have, all in good fun.

Really cool video thanks Pete from northern Cali. Mountain bike work well I have a single wheel trailer on mine I carry Gear in and racks and pack saddles on the bike

A bit keen on the bike brought a bike in covid and road it once lol good work
The bike riding can be a bit of hit and miss, you normally go through periods of riding and then it sits around for months.

It's a gun coil and the response it gives is great on the small stuff and fits in a backpack for mountain bike prospecting.

@@PetesGoldAdventures I have been using the 9” coiltek elite with some awesome results for the last 12 months and think it is a really good coil over the Sadie but that’s just my opinion lol 😂 it seems to pull better nuggets than the Sadie for some reason
@@Goldandtravel I've never used one of those coils, once I got the 45 I went to the nugget finders, I used the old coiltek coils when I had a 3000 and just stayed with the NF coils with the 45.

Great work, must of taking a bit of work to get those shots, that's the colour ground where the big ones hide thought that area.
Thanks Craig, the filming is a bit of work when your by yourself and when you head out for a quick arvo session you loose a bit of time, but with a little effort i hope to make the videos a bit more interesting. It's always good when you start digging into the yellow clays, you know you have a fair chance.

@@danpatterson9650 I've found if you block out the background the camera focuses really good on the gold and they were some nice bright nuggets, that helps. Cheers

PS I was watching a US guy with a wedding ring and a watch a few days ago!!!
There good boots, they are a composite boot with no metal, so the detector won't pick them up. I've prospected for years with a watch and ring on, I don't find they get in the way much, a lot of people don't like having metal on them while prospecting.

Are you turning down the sensitivity on this ground?
No, I don't want to loose any sensitivity, so I just work around it and balance out the hot rocks or ground.

I've had a couple of enquiries for that shirt, I did look into setting up one of those print on demand merch suppliers but that didn't work out, I'll look into another and post it on the channel how i go. I'd like another myself with that and the channel logo also, I'll get onto it.
