It was a nice arvo to pop out for a quick swing and get onto a bit straight up, but thats the way it goes sometimes, trip over it and no more, all good. Thanks Shane'o
Thanks Dan, I'll have to head back at some stage, I'm sure there would have to be more, but not the first time walking into an area and picking up a stray.
Great work there Pete 🤠, gotta love the quick ones and that's a lovely speci👌 Yeh big fan of that kinda ground, def warrants more attention 😉 Looking forward to the next adventure bud, good luck.👍
Not too bad for passing through, but getting a quick one I thought I best give it a couple of hours. It's my kind of area, I like the hill sides with reef workings on the ridge line, there's only one direction for the gold to head. I'll head back soon and give it a few more hours.
Well done on the video Pete. Very informative and good to see you got a nice piece of gold. Once again the editing was great and looking forward to your next adventure.
Thanks Wil, It's a nice looking area that needs a few more hours spent there. Connor has done a great job once again with the editing. Thanks for becoming a member of the channel, I see you found the nugget emoji's. Cheers, Pete
Great video Pete. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge with us. You definitely peaked to early when finding your ironstone specie in the first few minutes but that's what happens it seems. Looking forward to seeing your next Gold Adventure. Cheers
Sure is Jamie, I'll have to head back there and walk the hills a little more, you'd think there would be more, but it wouldn't be the first time I've found a stray.
@@PetesGoldAdventures yeah, there's a lot of good looking ground with nothing in it. Not all the reefs carried the shiny stuff. I guess there would have been a lot more work at the top if it was loaded ⛏️
Great video, funny I was thinking of heading out there today. Got three blokes on the hunt down at the moment, two from Newcastle and one from Italy took them to a few of my favourite spots on Wednesday only too get your old mate and a few coins, put them on good ground yesterday as I had to work but they come back empty handed. I've gotta pull my finger out and get the old Italian bloke a bit, as his yet too get any Aussie gold , he was telling me he spent three months in Kalgoorlie with a hired Garrett to find nothing before covid, I told him he would have had more luck with an ice cream lid on a broom handle. Their heading back Saturday so if he doesn't find one by this afternoon I'll salt a little patch for him at the end of the day thou his detecting skills almost bring a year to the eye. Cheers Craig
Your a good man, hopefully you can get them on the gold. I hope they have upgraded from the ice cream lid, that would help. Just shows how hard this stuff can be to find, last resort is the good old gold pan, never fails around here. The coins are pretty cool though, good luck. Cheers, Pete
Thanks Pete, your good luck wishes worked, the only trouble is it worked for me not them, one little nugget around .4 and a specimen. I buried the nugget for him to dig up, it was painful to watch be he found it in the end.
@@craigparry5648 Nice work. There might be somthing in that painful dig and maybe that's why they struggled to get onto a nugget, all good though if they had a good time.
Great vid pete to walk away with a bit of color is a good day, might have to put it in the ultra sonic cleaner or a bit of acid to brighten it up, hey there might be another undug reef there, might pay to look for an exposure or native rock and qartz thats associated with the gold in that area, its been at least 100 yrs of weathering there might be something or even take a sample from the trench at the top for a sample, good on ya pete keep up the great work👏🍻
Thanks mate, acid will make short work of the ironstone. I'll have to explore the area some more and check out the ridge line, just need to spend a few hours there. A couple of the test holes had some good looking quartz, I'll have to run a test on it. I've almost finished my jaw crusher, so that will make the process easier to make it small enough to go through the hammer mill.
Hammer or impact mill? Cool im a bit slow due to work and gold prospecting on weekends but ive finally sarted my rock crusher so im a bit happyer bout that maybe 2mnths away bout a 320 x 400 dia drum with a 6.5hp motor, should be cool.😀
@@eckk7405 It's an anglegrinder hammer mill, I've done a few videos on it now, but i'm making a small jaw crusher to break down the quartz to 1/2 inch to go through the mill easier. I might make a larger one in the future.
It's very handy living close to the bush for that quick little gold hunt. I think the chainsaw method might not go down well, I'll stick to propecting around the base of the tree. Cheers, mate.
Sure is Paul, I've driven past it so many times to prospect other area's near by and this time I thought I'd give it a go and it turned out to be a winner, have to head back now.
What a ripper area Pete looks good for the Sadie coil ay And what a great guess on its weight correct amondo lol Hope to catch you up when down sometime next weekend Cheers 🍻 Happy hunting CrouchOz
Good area not to far from home. I started with the Sadie and changed to the 14in to cover more ground, I'll have to head back for another few hours. No worries, let me know when your down and we'll see what we can come up with. Cheers, Pete

Thanks Steve, some times I only have a small window of time to get out and It's always great to get onto some gold quick. I'll have more time this weekend, so hoping to get onto a little more.
@@PetesGoldAdventures yeah the kids, a mate & I came across a little gully and that’s holding plenty of subs except for the odd couple of gramers found. We all can’t believe no one’s ever been up in it, it’s great fun. The last visit coming up to it, we are hoping there’s a couple of big ones
Thanks Ron, always nice to get a bit of gold, hopefully this weekend I'll be able to get onto a bit, going to give it a good go and see what happens. Cheers, Pete
I believe you can't balance out gold, you are balancing out the mineralisation in the rock. I've always found gold in highly mineralised ground never looses the signal, if it changes or moves it not gold. If someone had a large ironstone specie with a small nugget in it, it would be an interesting test, but they are rare and I've never come across one. In saying that i'm open minded and happy for someone to prove it is possible. Cheers, Pete
