The module not removing her attack interval was 100% expected, unfortunately. When Ceylon, Morgan and Highmore got their modules, HG refused to give them the Gladiia treatment, so if any operator has any sort of restriction or penalty on their talent, chances are their modules won't change that from now on.
The more time passes, I get more surprised that Leizi got a 1 sp per unblocked enemy hit and not just a small increase in her atk buff. Like, many 5* and 4* are so straightforward that I am no longer surprised to see so small changes to lower rarity operators.
It's funny how her biggest flaw is the attack interval increase at E2 and then they decide to just give her something that would want high attack speed without removing the lowered attack speed.
I disagree about that being her biggest flaw Her skills are just trash Even you give her enough aspd to compensate her skills have no damage no uptime and barely any worthwile CC If the only thing she will do is single target CC than she should either have amazing uptime or insane crowd control otherwise she is redundant If I could make 1 change to fix it would be to make her s2 infinite duration

Wow that 1.5 sec cold duration is like Lutonada's pull force, HG can't have it be too good! If it was like 2.5-3 seconds at least she could have something going for her with her messed up kit.
A few things to note: - because Frostleaf already has a bind and slow with s2, the freeze isn't doing as much for crowd control as it seems. On its own, the bind and freeze are effectively the same, but the freeze has a shorter duration with a lower chance so overall it's not that impactful once you look at it more. - freeze is funky and kinda jank. How it works is the duration is determined by the _second_ instance of chill and not the first. This is why you get people doing auto > s2 on Gnosis instead of the other way around, the s2 has a longer duration chill so that's what the freeze ends up being. In this case, the freeze will always be 1.5 seconds if Frostleaf procs it on her own, which means yes Kjera *does* get a lower freeze duration with s2 if frostleaf procs (but conversely enjoys the extra coverage that Frostleaf gives, even though overall Frostleaf's probably the worst chill support for Kjera except for Pramanix with mod). So yeah this mod ain't doing shit. As for why she can't get another hit in on a frozen target with s2 uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Oh also you can do dnd math with the chill aspd reduction. Chill is a 30% reduction to an enemy's auto attack dps but for Frostleaf it activates 25% of the time meaning you can expect it on average to reduce dps by 7.5%. Obviously dnd math is inaccurate because of the duality of this and also doesn't take into account stuff like projectile travel time and enemy movement. Speaking of which... Looping back to the bind redundancy thing bind can arguably be a boon for freeze time. Essentially because an enemy in motion increases the time between hits thanks to how projectiles work the bind would up the consistency between hits for... one or two attacks maybe. This could hypothetically be a nerf if the enemy moving towards Frostleaf reduced the time between hits because then you aren't getting that benefit but yeah, the bind probably helps the freeze a bit maybe it's still probably not noticeable.
oh man i love using aurora and auroras attack speed is 1.6 seconds. now im haunted by the mental image of frostleafs short freeze eating one of her valuable s2 charges (she gets 330% attack on frozen targets). i think in other cases like kiera it might not be as relevant unless in clutch moments where you need just a little longer stun or a little more damage?
Frostleaf proves that the team that writes the story for the game and the team that makes the kits for operators barely if ever communicate with each other. The same Frostleaf that went toe to toe with FrostNova is also the same one with a really bad kit that makes no sense. Something I agree with Kuma on is that Irene should have been a 5 star, because in lore she’s still an apprentice.

absolutely wish that HG would rework/rebalance some things *just a little* every once in awhile, things are usually workable but then sometimes they try to do something different, fail, and then just forget the Op ever existed. iirc we only ever got 1 archetype "adjustment" for Fighters when Mountain got released, right?
@@valkenpunch2145 Chain casters got repeated trait buffs over time, but the only actual true rework would be the Abjurer class. Every other instance of slight "rebalances" is just little base attack buffs and whatnot to archetypes that got modules, like brawlers and etc.
Thank you for going over the sheer raw power of Frostleaf's module, we truly weren't worthy of such a module from HG. Honestly if the freeze chance was like 40-45% or maybe even 50% than Frostleaf probably would have had a cute niche as an additional source of RES shred. it might be hard to judge the kjera and frostleaf combo, well moving aside the headache that is syncing their skill cycles although them both having a 25sec skill duration for both skill durations oddly fits, it might be worth burning the 1 extra second of freeze just to proc more colds, although kjera has a terrible chance to freeze at least her dps goes up with the res decrease and kjera would still overall have the higher freeze chance considering her drone also gets the chill effect, don't ask me for maths though i'm not in the mind to calc that right now
9:50 while it could be a waste for Frostleaf to "steal" a freeze from Kjera or Aurora, there are three other things to consider: (1) Kjera's Freeze isn't guaranteed so Frostleaf's chance of stealing a Freeze is roughly the same as giving Kjera an extra Freeze (2) Aurora's Freeze skill is an ammo-based DPS skill: she doesn't want to inflict Freeze, she wants to attack targets that are already Frozen (3) Every other Freeze unit (Gnosis's off-skill attacks, Santalla S2, Pramanix with module) has a shorter freeze duration than Frostleaf
In terms of cold synergy, Gnosis inflicts cold to his basic attacks unconditionally. Pramanix with Module 3 gives a 25% chance to apply cold. If you add Frostleaf module 25% chance to apply cold into the mix, by the powers of statistics (or a calculator I found on the internet, also not counting ASPD), the probability of inflicting that second cold to freeze a unit is about 43%. This is useful when Gnosis S3 is in downtime, but keep in mind it requires 3 operators for this combo. Results may vary with mixing cold operators without Gnosis, but it doesn't hurt to have more cold procs. It gives Frostleaf a synergy that most people don't use, but for me it's enough.

I like the module because it actually modifies the operator’s gameplay something I wish more mods would do just look at snowsant or grani’s mods. The fact that there was a mod for lords that buffs attack speed and Frostleaf didn’t get it feels like a kick to the balls though
Oof, I'll still give her the module when we get it, hopefully some nice lore (really enjoy her op rec after all). Nothing can help her sadly, but the increased chance and another source of chill to combo with the other appliers might still be fun. I wish I could say this is a launch operator problem but all the others can function well. I mean even welfare/random 4/5star operators that begin/start a subbranch function well more often then not in years since. Only true buff will have to be alter lol. Nothing to say on being a hybrid dps (lol arts for her) given that was given to all/most guards.
Some people expect Frostleaf to be a subsitute for Frostnova, while some expect Santalla to be an exact Frostnova, yet none of them that HG made are good
As someone who have her on M6. It's very hard to use frostleaf.. She's doing good stall against single target, but struggle when holding a lane with more than 1 target (which is most stage). Also for those who want to use her, her S2 is much more reliable, and have great mastery gain. Her module helps, since now at least she will deal truly something with each attack. Once again, I advise this, build her for fun or waifu reason.
Kjera has 52,5% chance to apply cold per attack and almost 40% chance to freeze before her cold expires. Old Gamepress article on cold/freeze recommends mixing her with gnosis to have better odds of freezing. I would bet on having that frostleaf cold and having cold re-applied to a frozen enemy as more valuable. Then having it last potentially longer
there is no such thing as reaplying cold to a frozen enemy U just apply a cold debuff while they're frozen and if u hit them with a SECOND cold debuff it turns into a new frozen debuff with a new duration That's why I was asking if FL was actually worth it

The most common sentiment I remember seeing was people asking for her skills to be reworked to include frost instead of slow/bind.
I like the module because it actually modifies the operator’s gameplay something I wish more mods would do just look at snowsant or grani’s mods. The fact that there was a mod for lords that buffs attack speed and Frostleaf didn’t get it feels like a kick to the balls though
As someone who loves Frostleaf (my first E2) ever since I play on Global,
… can I cry now?
i feel like its a thing worthy shouting RIOT at and storm the hypergryph hq
Oof, I'll still give her the module when we get it, hopefully some nice lore (really enjoy her op rec after all). Nothing can help her sadly, but the increased chance and another source of chill to combo with the other appliers might still be fun. I wish I could say this is a launch operator problem but all the others can function well. I mean even welfare/random 4/5star operators that begin/start a subbranch function well more often then not in years since. Only true buff will have to be alter lol. Nothing to say on being a hybrid dps (lol arts for her) given that was given to all/most guards.
now do the microwave
Her s1 should have just healed that crusher guard like holy shit
just remove the asdp penalty ffs
Some people expect Frostleaf to be a subsitute for Frostnova, while some expect Santalla to be an exact Frostnova, yet none of them that HG made are good
Somehow I still m6 Frostleaf's skills despite knowing her skills are terrible, maybe that's my hope for Frostleaf alter
The Age of Mythology music remix slaps hard
The question is why didn't hypergryph give her *the other module instead*
cute Earthspirit
Frost leaf alter when?
coming soon...
We can cope
Frostleaf canonically held Frostnova for some time, saved Doctor and the whole squad from getting killed
her in game ver is sad
As someone who have her on M6.
It's very hard to use frostleaf..
She's doing good stall against single target, but struggle when holding a lane with more than 1 target (which is most stage).
Also for those who want to use her, her S2 is much more reliable, and have great mastery gain.
Her module helps, since now at least she will deal truly something with each attack.
Once again, I advise this, build her for fun or waifu reason.
I'm more surprised she's actually able to freeze off skill, albeit for basically no duration, but she technically can
Is that age of mythology music? thats wild
everyone is coping and I rejoin them, the character is cool, great design, good backstory, and there are stats... 💀
Then having it last potentially longer
there is no such thing as reaplying cold to a frozen enemy
U just apply a cold debuff while they're frozen and if u hit them with a SECOND cold debuff it turns into a new frozen debuff with a new duration
That's why I was asking if FL was actually worth it
The only hope I have for Frostleaf to be salvaged is a potential alter (unlikely to happen any time soon) 😔
My poor girl ;-;
Frostleaf was actually my first favorite character so I decided to max her out before knowing how bad she truly is gameplay-wise but I don't care about that :sob:
frostleaf alter when
I think by just changing her S2 to apply Cold instead of Bind, her module could actually be good
replacing a 40% chance to bind for 2 sec with a 16% chance to freeze
idk how much that will help :D
4:16
More prove that Arene is better than Ayerscape by a long shot
As a lord Guard Anyway
Ayre S2 is one of those weird ass skills u can stick on literally any op cause it has fuck all to do with his own archetype
@@DrSilvergunAt least its not "+Attack up, Attack one aditional target" that every single non 6* Lord get lol.
@@DrSilvergun Ayerscarpe was released before branches were a thing, so HG was still experimenting with ranged guards. All things considered his S2 is not too far off from SilverAsh S2. At least Ayerscarpe keeps his ranged attacks with his second skill.
@@echigokurogane8612 wtf do u mean "not far off from SA S2"
They have almost nothing in common
@@DrSilvergun I just mean that both of them melee skills for the Lord branch.
All HG needed to do to let her slow a target or make S2 more reliable was remove the ASPD reduction
That nerf alone is what makes her terrible, otherwise she can be similar to Earthspirit where the status effect thing is a job she can do
But no, HG gave her irrelevant bonus arts. Even the cold is iffy with only 25% chance and no further stacking. Why you do this, devs. You truly hate her. Personally I'd have loved an extra range increase but even that wouldn't "save" her, it'd just help her feel really different. But we get none of that :(
I think the thing what made HG delay Lord module is because they want to frostleaf still the same with or without it and used everything they can to make sure that happen... just for meme purpose cuz we knew how much troll lowlight is😂
Before watching this video I used to think I pick Midnight in IS cause he cost less Hope...
That's cool, now use her for stalling purposes >:3
I love Frostleaf but holy hell, her module can't even make her decent. We need an alter Frostleaf to make her good at this point.
Frostleaf video, still counts, I feel validated! :D
Silliness aside, if we're talking broken, would you say her module would make her broken with the following tweak: '50% chance to apply cold on attacks, increased to 100% during skill activation'?
far from broken but an extremely potent stall too
So, FrostLeaf alter hope now? 😢
One thing we all knew is that Frostleaf's attacks can't penetrate a certain distance
And that has not changed with the module.
Mephisto outhealing Frostleaf is just cruel
There is no bad operator🤓
But there is frostleaf :v
@@TintaFiksi "those who can't use frostleaf is a bad doktah🤓"
So this is perm account damage ver 2.0
age of mythology music?? marry me
thanks for the overview, now I am sad :(
But can she solo 1-7 with it?
Genuinely don't know if Hypergraph hates Matoimaru or frostleaf more, and both were my favourite 4* in terms of desing back in the day lol
