I’ve seen The Growlers maybe 4 times. I honestly can’t remember a few. But they just look you over. They really made it a scene. I was on acid and drinking bourbon. My girlfriend fell down the stairs. They just got everyone out of their heads.
I F**King Love that they pulled A 52 Fakeout on the News Anchor and Played Drugs Drugs Drugs instead of "Love". The Growlers are BY FAR The Best Kept Secret in Rock Music. Part of me is Perplexed that they aren't "A" List Famous by now but the other half of me is Glad that only a certain amount of people really know and Truly Appreciate just how Amazing these guys are. ++ P.S.- It's Kind of a Bummer that they are no longer all together anymore. This Lineup was my favorite. Their Performance on "A Take Away Show" is One of the Greatest Acoustic Performances I've Ever Experienced. I Love how they just Strolled Through an Alleyway playing their songs like some Traveling Sideshow Circus Act.... Genius!!
The lady presenter in the pink top and large faux fur collared coat totally wants to get stoned and jam scat vocals or play the bongos with The Growlers. Tremendous.
I would kill for a full download of this cover. Brooks really shows his vocal talent in this tune. Iv played the video over about 100 times by now for the 30 seconds of listening pleasure.
theres still punk down here. check out pangea or audacity. as far as the beach psych stuff, the growlers do it better than ANY other band down here. but i know what you mean. it seems trendy now to cover your guitar in reverb and strum barre chords
