they couldn’t have picked a better actress for this role, Emma Stone was absolutely MAGNIFICENT in this movie. Along with the other actors/actresses, the costumes, comedy, subtle hints to the animated movie, the editing, and ESPECIALLY the soundtrack, this movie was so amazing.
Seen a few of Emma Stone movies and she was just average.
But this Cruella she played, she owned it. Every bit of body language, micro facial expression and voice. Overall performance 10/10.

@@VENTICAPPUCINO that's because the "bad guys" got exposed to the reality of society like most of us and have to fight to stay alive, but princesses are literally living in ivory towers or between the walls of castles where everyone serves them, far from the real-world issues
@@BenefitCounterbench Most princesses we've seen from Disney are far from having people serve them though. Aren't they literally kidnapped, enslaved and abused and have to fight for their freedom and if not for their own then its for their country's freedom?
I don't see why we can't just love and appreciate both the princesses and the "bad" guys.
This is the best take on Cruella ever! I love that they changed her hate for dalmations into something more meaningful, this movie was so well thought out and exciting, the twists were amazing and the fashion was on point, truly a masterpiece, if this is how disney is reimaging villains then i cant wait to see the rest of the disney villains

I didn't hate her, not the character from the original animated film. She always struck me as an ineffectual and rather ridiculous villain. What, after all, was her goal in the animated film? She wanted a coat made out of DOG fur. It was on par with making a meal out of roadkill. She was quasi evil. Semi evil. She was the margarine of evil. The diet Coke of evil. Just one calorie--not evil enough.

Emma Stone is a really great actress.
Absolutely loved this movie. The costume designs were incredibly beautiful. This version of Cruella made me fall in love with her. Although there is madness in her, she still showed vulnerability. One of my favorite scenes is when she goes to the fountain ⛲️ after she discovers who her birth mother is. The ending statement to her adoptive mother, “ but I love you… always”. Hit me in a deep way.

That movie was sooooo good. I thought I was gonna hate it because it was hyped so much, but it lived to my expectations and more. All the fashion moments were beyond.

I still can’t get how she turned out to be puppy killer. In this movie she didn’t kill the Dalmatians even though they were the reason her mother is dead
She discovered that using the puppies fur makes her fashion more glamorous, so she resorted to killing the Dalmatians.
In all honesty, in my eyes the movie makes it clear the dogs are not to blame for her death at all. They are never blamed by Estella nor Cruella. However, that only makes the step to Cruella from the 101 dalmatians the more confusing.
Adored the movie, but it probably would've been better to either 1) have this be an original IP, or 2) at least remove the extra ending with Roger and Anita, just to show this was more of an alternative universe rather than being a prequel. That could take a lot of the critique away
in all honesty, I'm pretty sure they just rewrote her entire character to make her more relatable and sympathetic.

@@Popelyu I think it can still work while including that scene since it could’ve indicated that Anita and Roger are going to be playing a bigger part in the sequel, but it’ll be different since she gifted them the dogs. Idk why ppl are saying it’s going to lead to her wanting to kill the puppies in the sequel. So, I definitely understand the confusion; and I also took it as them nodding at the original. Either way tho I do I agree on how that can throw people off. I am definitely pumped for the sequel tho regardless and hope they answer these questions 👌🙂
I was not planning on watching it because the trailer did not looked interesting to me, but then I thought probably I should see the movie without critiquing the trailer. When I had watched the movie I was surprised by how good it was. I loved the outfits and fashion pieces Cruella had created and the fashion that Estella had created. Some of the outfits were so beautiful. I did thought it kind of reminded me of the Devil Wears Prada movie, but I feel like it was most likely the fashion and the Baroness was what made me come to that conclusion. The plot was also good it was filled with certain surprises and certain obvious conclusions. However, I am not the one to watch and tell, so I will just leave it up in the air for now.
It gives the same vibe because this movie has the same screenwriter as the Devil Wears Prada

To be honest, I really have nothing but praise for this movie. The best thing is pretty much EVERYONE was chaotic and were immediately in on Cruella's mischief without hesitation. It was just so much more interesting to have no full-on "good guys". Made this movie super unique.

This film was the best villain movie I have ever watched from Disney. The music, the acting, atmosphere felt so unique and beautiful. It also still kept her authentic bad attitude unlike them spoiling it in the Maleficent movies. I am starting to appreciate the real development of Disney villains from start to end💢❤🖤
