Yikes! Recently considered getting ebike and thought helmet not necessary. Also, doing a pre inspection on bike or car (no different than trucking) makes sense. Kevin was fortunate to have good Samaritans at his rescue! Thanks for being the salt of the earth! ❤ ❤

There are great people in the world and I pray that the numbers will keep growing. That man was so very fortunate that you came upon him and the perfect time. My hubby and I have experienced both sides of kindness and compassion. We came upon a serious accident and my hubby had been a volunteer fireman for many years at the time and was able to help until emergency services came and then we received the same help from good kind people in our accident. I guess my long winded comment is to say be kind and compassionate as you just don’t know their story and you two have shown that kindness. Take care you two.

There's safety that you always have to take into consideration, but safety should not inhibit you from helping somebody in a bad situation. I've had situations that I was uncomfortable approaching people in, but from a distance I called police and watched and waited until help arrived. You are so right! ♥️

A lot of older seniors here in Florida has become homeless I don't have much yet I give them what I can. Thank God I losing my place the first cause I can't afford the rent no more. Yet I am blessed got people in Texas getting me home.

These incidents that we all come across during our lifetime is why I carry a good sized 1st Aid Kit (FAK). It has come in handy several times. I always keep Maxi Pads (think of medium battle dressings) for covering larger areas of abrasions and for deep lacerations. I also carry tampons for large puncture wounds. A Sucking Chest Wound kit is always good to carry as well.
Please tell this Kevin to get an xray to make sure he's ok. I had an accident similar to this decades ago. Yeah, felt terrible for a couple days but not enough to see the doctor, I thought. Decades later my car got rear ended & I got that X-ray. It showed that I had nearly paralyzed myself with bike accident. My spine had been out of alignment for a couple of decades and with the new injury I was lucky to still be walking! It never hurts to get X-rays.
Ppl have gotten really mean. It's so so sad. And it's getting worse every day. Nothing like when i grew up. I'm so thankful i grew up when i did. And thankful there are still kind ppl out there like you and Scotty ❤.
I understand when you get into an accident and don't want to go to the hospital. I had a bike accident in the summer of 2017 and did the same thing. All I wanted was to get home and take care of my wounds there.
