I watched your “Preterite Tense w/ AR Verbs..” and some other classes in AIB. I found that the way you teach is easy to remember; so I tried to search “Preterite Tense w/ ER or IR Verbs…”. but was not able to find exactly what I was looking. However, I found your “The Language Tutor” channel. I am glad I found it. I watched a few other channels too, but I like the way you teach the best. The best things are that the summaries of your Spanish verb conjugations are so much logic, clear, and easier to remember. I made a few Excel tables of each verb conjugation you taught, so I can use them to make Spanish sentences as quick & easy references. Hopefully I can remember them all in short future. Dr is it okay to also say Jose escribe me una carta instead of Jose me escribe una carta? Can the sentence structure be changed in that manner and still be right?
I've been direct and indirect object pronouns in German too, so it's a little easier for me to understand them. But something I didn't realize is how you put the pronoun in front of the verb instead of after. Definitely different compared to both English and German. Thanks Dr. Evans!

That's a good question! The verb will always stay escribe in these sentences because you have to conjugate the verb for Jose. In each of the examples, Jose is still doing the verb. The part that changes is who he's writing it to. That's why the me, te, le, etc... changes. Does that make sense?
