Your previous videos very informative and very easy to understand, especially for beginners. Conjugating verbs in the past is as simple as learning a new set of endings, just like the endings you learned for present tense.

Hi! I am a Sri Lankan. In this part of the world nobody knows spanish. 6 months ago we recruited a girl named Sherina. She was under my supervision. Few days later when I am talking to her she told me she like to learn Spanish. Then I told her I also like to learn a new language so we both learn together. But with her work and studies she was not interested to learn. But I alone tried to translate words and phrases through google translator but I found it very difficult and the verbs are keep on changing into different shapes. And the gender also a big headache to me. I was about to forget learning Spanish by chance I saw AIB and Dr. Danny. Now I am very much into Español. yo hablo español. Unfortunately I can't find anyone to speak in Spanish where I live.

Hi, I hope I'm not too late with my answer.
One of the meanings of the word gusto is "joy" or "plaesure".
That's why we say "mucho gusto" when we meet someone.
But "gusto" also means "I like", since it's the conjugated form of the verb "gustar" for the "yo" form, for example: "Yo gusto de comer pastel" means "I like to eat cake".
However, the most normal way to say this is "me gusta comer pastel".
And also, "gustó" (with an accent mark on the "o"), is the preterite form of "he liked", "she liked", and "you (formal) liked".
I hope I've explained it clearly.

Hello sir i have been watching your videos for about a month. This lesson was so great but i had a question can you tell me how to change verb 'reunirse'

    • @gerlautamr.656
      @gerlautamr.656 2 года назад +1

Hi, the verb "reunirse" is a reflexive verb, so in the present, it is conjugated like this:
      In Spain
      (Yo) me reúno.
      (Tú) te reúnes.
      (Él/Ella/Usted) se reúne.
      (Nosotros) nos reunimos.
      (Vosotros) os reunís.
      (Ellos) se reúnen.
      In Latin America
      (Yo) me reúno
      (Tú) te reúnes
      (Él/Ella/Usted) se reúne
      (Nosotros) nos reunimos
      (Ustedes) se reúnen
      (Ellos) se reúnen
And in the preterite, it is conjugated like this:
      In Spain
      (Yo) me reuní
      (Tú) te reuniste
      (Él/Ella/Usted) se reunió
      (Nosotros) nos reunimos
      (Vosotros) os reunisteis
      (Ellos) se reunieron
      In Latin America
      (Yo) me reuní
      (Tú) te reuniste
      (El) se reunió
      (Nosotros) nos reunimos
      (Ustedes) se reunieron
      (Ellos) se reunieron
*Note: The imperfect has a different set of conjugations.

Your lessons es muy excelente!! Pero yo tengo una pregunta, do you pronoun letter “v” like “b”? I notice that in the video you seem to enunciate “v” as the English “v”. Please advise! Appreciate it!

    • @ninadouglas6289

The “B” and the “V” are both pronounced like a “B” in Spanish. It’s not a matter of natives not understanding you if you pronounce “v” like the English equivalent , it’s just makes you sound like a foreigner.
