Can you imagine the writers deciding that this was the line for Galadriel to sell the series on? Are they on crack or just in need of help with daily living activities?
Besides, isn't she at this point, one of the Three Elven Ring Bearers? Why would she be fighting anything? Those things are too useful and too dangerous to risk losing them in Battle. She also had powers of her own, Telepathy and the ability to scry. She has no reason to do something so crude as to pick up a sword.

After watching RoP I'm starting to understand Saurons desire to destroy middle earth.
Did you know that Tolkien had a secret book series, written under pen name Adam Medvidović ? These books were inspired with his Catholicism, for he was a devour Catholic, but in this books he was writing for grown up people, and he used great foreknowlegde of coming events, and this books are truly prophetic. He never published them, but after this attack on Ukraine his nephews secretly released the first book of the four books. The first book has a name "Night in Zagreb" under pen name Adam Medvidović. First I didnt believe this info, but then I read the book and thats Tolkien. And its clear why he never published them. He is using some strong words there and dark is the atmosphere. Those are not books for children, for Lord of the Rings were actually for his children. You probably heard of this already and im interested what is your opinion. Is this Tolkien? And second thing - do you know where to get other three books from that series? I heard rumors that they are deleting those books cause they want to change the church, and the books were also warning on that (and apocalypse) so im not even sure how long that first book will be on amazon, if its not deleted already..........................................................................................................................................................

The lord of the rings gave me goose bumps in so many scenes in each movie. The emotions were really high. But the rings of power didn't give me that feeling once
I turned it off after the elves walked to the mountains while having a casual chat. It felt like they walked all the way on the same day. For all the money they spent, it felt cheap.
I was just bored, never bothered to finish Rings of Power.

There is a legal instrument that protects literature work long after the author has died, Berns convention, it prohibits changing the work of the author while interpreting it. If lawsuit was made against the Amazon they would loose.

@@anthonycarter4 Hey its not a totally bad show. The story is rather simple and character writing pretty lazy so it's very easy to follow. It's made for a very broad audience but if we really want to analyse it critically it's not a good show were efford and money translated to a plot. You can still enjoy it and the CGI is certainly pretty good but it's more like a generic feel good soap than a real movie series art piece. It's lazy writing to maximize proftis nothing more. But well... People loved Sharknado and I am not judging them either.😅
@@drehherd7394 Despite some minor inaccuracies/inconsistencies with the lore. I love the show for what it is meant to be; Entertaining. The show builds up at 1st, like all other shows. And it really shows a bunch of Amazing things throughout the season. Like friendship, drama, And alot of action. The plot gets more broad as the show progresses.
The main reason ppl dislike it is due to lore-based reasons. But at the end of the day The hobbit and LOTR trilogy wasn't all from the books either. Now all of a sudden its a problem when shows do not meticulously respect the book lores in every single detail. I hear how Galadrial is different than LOTR TRILOGY. Well of course!! She's younger/more darker in personality, and didn't have those same abilities before the rings.
Or I hear how Margoths back story wasn't given. Saurons backstory wasn't given like the books either in the original movies. All we knew from him; That he was the "Dark Lord" and the creator of the master ring. It never showed us how he came to middle earth, and where he conquered as a shape-shifter. Yet, we accept Sauron. Then we should with Margoth in this scenario.
At the end of the day. Im happy to have more LOTR stuff. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Just like you (who compares a low budget sharknado to this great show).

Cringe and nonsensical. Hobbits wouldn't consider their feet unusually large - just normal sized for them. That line makes no sense unless somehow the hobbits had read Tolkien's work in which the size of their feet is remarked upon.

I recently started watching lord of the rings and the hobbit. They all made me cry. The themes of honour and loyalty, love and respect were clearly seen and felt that it brought me to tears. The amount of hope was astonishing, and that one small decision can change everything. I made me feel like I was in the movie. That no matter how significant or small you think you are, you do matter. The previous shows had warmth this one does not. It is boring and lacks impact. Really disappointing
The scene where Sauron looked at Galadriel and said "You met me in a very strange time in my life" then held hands and watched buildings collapse while playing "Where is my mind" in the background was phenomenal.

My god after watching first two episodes i had to go back and watch the LOTR movies as an antidote to counteract the poison that was fed to me
ha ha ha... i now what you mean, after watching the first two episodes I binge watched the extended edition trilogy... It was 12 hour of amazing experience... I'm actually grateful that this rings of Power was made... because it made me appreciate again the work of Mr. Peter Jackson... I enjoyed those 12 hours relishing on the privilege that I have of still being able to enjoy an unadulterated version of Prof. Tolkien. A master piece that, I'm sad to say, cannot ever be filmed as is nowadays or in the future.
The fact that this was released on the date that Tolkien passed away is an even bigger disrespect to his legacy. "The past is dead. We either move forward or we die with it." No way they included this line coincidentally. Disgustingly disrespectful.
Especially since Tolkien was a devout Roman Catholic that held onto the past so tightly, he actively protested the changes in the mass & Vatican 2. He would never have written a quote like this. Its a slap in the face to a great scholar.

Ok so what didn't you like about the show so far? Cause the criticisms I've seen were pretty much limited to:
-there's black people in it (and that completely destroys the show somehow )
-The hero's a girl (which is also bad for some reason)
-Some characters aren't the way they are in the lotr books (which is also bad for some reason even though the show takes place literal millennia before the books)
Like yes they've taken some liberties with the lore but did anyone actually expect them to make an interesting show out of the fucking silmarillion without changing things at least a little?

I was thrilled to see that they included Galadriel and Steppenwolf's iconic lightsaber duel in the Chamber of Secrets, that's really the turning point in the books for me, so relieved to see JK Tolkien's masterpiece is in good hands.
I loved the free-thinking creative approach they took and didn't let Galadrrrriel decapitate him like in the original works, seeing Steppenwolf use his ghostbuster proton pack to capture Sauron's spirit instead was way more exhilarating!

Did you know that Tolkien had a secret book series, written under pen name Adam Medvidović ? These books were inspired with his Catholicism, for he was a devour Catholic, but in this books he was writing for grown up people, and he used great foreknowlegde of coming events, and this books are truly prophetic. He never published them, but after this attack on Ukraine his nephews secretly released the first book of the four books. The first book has a name "Night in Zagreb" under pen name Adam Medvidović. First I didnt believe this info, but then I read the book and thats Tolkien. And its clear why he never published them. He is using some strong words there and dark is the atmosphere. Those are not books for children, for Lord of the Rings were actually for his children. You probably heard of this already and im interested what is your opinion. Is this Tolkien? And second thing - do you know where to get other three books from that series? For example if filming Anna Karenina as a black woman in high Russian society who doesn't throw herself under the train. They would ruin Tolstoy's work. Just like with Star Wars (Not disney Star Wars except Rogue One and Mandalorian), Jurassic Park (only 1 and 2), Terminator (only 1 and 2), Every Marvel movie before Stan Lee died (They waited till he died and then trashed his universe). Ghostbusters (before and after Ghostbusters 2016), The little Mermaid, Pinocchio, Mulan and the list goes on... In short, movies before 2010 are not yet politizised.
Heck, I miss the 90’s. Sure they had their flops too but overall there was more originality in screenwriting, music and acting and regardless of if you liked it or not, the whole purpose was just to tell a story for fun, not make a political statement about yourself.
I started listening to audiobooks to wash this awful filth out of my mind. It's great cuz it kinda animates itself along with memories in my head and the movies were so well made they get prolonged 100 times, and can work meanwhile. Suggest You try it
