do not forget the brillant and fabulous `la petite bande` of sigisvald kuijken. an institution in/for baroque music. but these here are on a similar level. unfortunately there is a big problem with the offspring in general. too less young people are interested in baroque, learning to play expensive and partial fragile historic instruments....

@@therealrealludwigvanbeethoven Like tens of thousands of people who used to live in CA, I left it. San Jose is a medium size city in CA, where I used to live.
I don’t want people to think I live there. I am not proud of it. I don’t disclose where I presently live.
      Thanks for writing.
      Sanjosemike (no longer in CA)

@San Jose Mike I see. Thanks for writing, but is it necessary to disclose any location where you have lived?

oh my god that fugue at 2:27 is so musical maybe it's passages like these that justify so many people calling Bach the greatest composer.

I just heard this yesterday for the first time, it's beautiful and so peaceful! It also starts quite unexpectedly.

It's 1993. I was 20. I drove an old Lada through the center of St. Petersburg past the Hermitage and listened to this music.
