I agree with the abusive relationship, but i interpreted as her getting hurt by her partner. Also the line call me friend but keep me closer I saw it as you kow that "saying keep your friends close but your enemies closer" I saw it as she wants to be loved by him but she notices that he doesn't love her or trust her and he is treating her like an enemy instead of someone who he cares for I love your reactions I will continue to watch💛

She’s singing it from the viewpoint where she’s in love with the other person and they see it as friends with benefits… hence no time for you now, but “I’ll call you when the party’s over.” Video shows how toxic this kind of relationship is… trying to be friends without catching feelings, which totally backfires. You see she takes a little sip, but then drinks it all after that little taste. That little glass causes all those tears until that toxicity totally consumes her at the end. That friends with benefits scenario causes all her heartbreak cause the other person doesn’t feel the same about her. She can lie and says she likes it like that, but truly doesn’t.
I doubt Billie has ever done more than a little weed or had this intense of a relationship. She can’t even legally drink yet. She’s just this good a writer.
Maaan, I love Billie as well. Her take on songs are kinda surreal but it makes sense. I dont know how to explain it, but she's really a one of a kind artist too. Wish you could also look more into Melanie Martinez. I always like to think that she and Billie are similar in a different way. You'll get more of that feel when you hear more recent Melanie songs.

Love the channel, but you pause and rewind so often that you lose the flow of the song and miss key building points, crescendos, etc. I'd recommend letting things payout slightly more and then taking longer pauses.
